I’m glad I’m not the only person who hated the bareMinerals serum foundation. I wanted to love it, but it settled into lines on my face that I didn’t know I had, before I could finish the rest of my makeup. I tried several times with different primers, w/o primers, different applications, etc. I’m returning it.

I love the Bare Minerals highlighters, too…I wanted to get it in Opal Glow but sold out at my Ulta so I got it in Rose Glow along with their blonzer in Kiss of Mauve & love them together. Hope you have a better wknd than your week has been 😊❤
That Ciele tint looks so good on you! I feel the same about using a formula that can stand alone without the SPF. I love the Kosas foundation and the SPF is just an added benefit. This seems like it would be a really nice everyday kind of complexion product! - B

Prequel looks like something like to try. Love no fragrance frre,colloidal oatmeal. Sounds great for my excema. I bought Aveeno lotion but just so thin.
the ct cream looks so much like the peach slices snail gel cream. Although that one is slightly thinner, but I’m so impressed of its moist keep capacity

Haven’t done a round up video because I really only use a few formulas - Kulfi mehndi moment and Charlotte tilbury matte blush wands are truly the only creams that actually last on me

I feel like the Ami Cole eyeshadow in the St. Louis shade (marigold) was really nice and so far am liking it more than the Merit shadows, actually. But I did not try any other colors.
I love the Ami Cole lip oil too, but once it was about half gone every time I closed it the air pressure in the tube squeezed product out and the outside became a sticky mess. I couldn’t take it with me in my handbag, had to keep it standing up on a tissue on my desk and wipe it down first before using it every time. 😢
I remember Kackie trying get the Bare Minerals Tint had same issue and never dried. She couldn't get any blush to stay on her face because it just picked up the tint. Nothing wrong with you just a bad product. Only person I have seen who likes it is Shelby Wilson.

Ooh the CT moisturizer looks so nice in your dwatch but that is SO expensive. How do you think it compares to some of the other newer, more nourishing gel creams like shani darden?
I see that that Ciele product contains.a chemical called "Butyloctyl Salicylate," which is classified as a sunscreen "booster" and is similar in structure to octisalate. So the suggestion that this is just a mineral sunscreen rather than a chemical one may be somewhat misleading, from what I have been reading. It sounds like it wasn't irritating for you though, anyway, so that is good news. I don't feel that I have done well with products that contain this chemical though.
I think you might like Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide face cream? Or, at a much better price point, Byoma Moisturizing Gel Cream (which I use in spring, summer and into fall, and Byoma Moisturizing Rich cream, which I use in winter). 😊
Thanks! Sadly skinfix products mess me uuuuuup. They contain quite a bit of essential oils, I think that are used as preservatives but it’s so misleading as an “eczema safe” product! But I’ll check out Byoma!
Just got another Skinfix Barrier + repair cream (in a set during Sephora sale) and the box says it is free of essential oils, fragrance…And I don’t see any essential oils listed on the ingredients… :-) My skin hates fragrance and essential oils… (And drying alcohols) but it loves this cream, especially in cold weather.
That Ciele tint looks awesome. Curious if you've ever tried the Alley Oop Sunsational SPF 50 skin tint? Would love to hear your thoughts if you have! 🙂
In case it's helpful - I purchased the lightest shade (Aurora), and it's a lot darker than it looks on the website. I believe it was also less glowy than I expected (I've only worn it once). I plan to film a dedicated Alley Oop video, so I should have a more fleshed out opinion in the future!

Do you still like the Ami Cole lip glosses? I heard that they are sticky. I can stand a little sticky but not a lot. I'm thinking of trying the shade bliss. Kaja lipglosses are my favorite but I think they are getting discontinued so Im looking for something similar to that formula.
They did they issue by changing their vanilla distributor! In mine, I can still smell the slightest bit of that floral smell but I also get vanilla and both scents are so subtle I can’t smell them the second the applicator touches my lips. So I’m happy!
I swatched the Bare Minerals foundation in store on my hand and it did dry down and looked pretty good…on my hand at least. The main thing that made me consider buying it is that the shade was a reallllly good match for me, which basically never happens. But now I’m so curious about the Ciele. Does it actually dry down and feel dry to the touch? I’ll have to get into Sephora to swatch it and see shades look.

If you’re hesitant to buy their products because of the allure award or the Sephora incentivized reviews, that’s something (it seems) the majority of brands do, which is a bummer but not surprising. But if you’re hesitant to buy their products because of the fill issue, they did say they are investigating the problem with their manufacturer 🤷🏼♀️

Hi Kait! I recently bought the fitglow concealer on your recommendation, but it creases so badly on me no matter what I do. I’ve tried a few different methods of application and have used only a tiny amount of concealer as you advised, but it’s just not working. Do you have any other tips to get this to work?
Sorry to hear that! If you’re using only a small amount I don’t have any suggestions! Well, all concealer will crease because the skin moves, but I do find that these tacky concealers crease the least. Wish I had more ideas
To give Ami Cole the benefit of the doubt, brands can submit products to Allure for consideration. So maybe Ami Cole had some earlier lab samples or a different batch that they submitted. But some of Allure's choices are definitely questionable (e.g., the Rose Inc. eyeshadow), so who knows. 🤷♀
I did see a comment on Kelly Gooch’s video today that brands pay for the awards, so my hunch was correct! That’s coming from someone who has a friend in the industry so take it with a grain of salt.
Nah, I can't justify that price. I'm very happy they sent me the mini and the full size cream but I won't be purchasing it when I run out despite how much I love it.

I've heard that the fill issue only happened with the shade Harlem! Not sure if all of the colors dry down as fast since I only own one shade.

Yup! We bought a house 😊 Our lease here ends in January and we have a lot of work to do to give Thumper a comfortable, safe yard prior to moving in.
