When to use EN or DANS in French | NEVER make the mistake again!

French prepositions EN and DANS can be a big problem for French learners. They are easy to use separately but in some situations, such as time/action and transportation, it gets more difficult to know which one to use. After this lesson, you won't make the mistake ever again between EN and DANS!

THANK YOU! The time-related context of 'en' vs 'dans' finally makes sense thanks to this video! So, in short:
- 'dans' means 'it will start in x amount of time'
- 'En' means 'it will take x amount of time to do.'
You have no idea how long I struggled with this.

Can "en" be used before determinants lile "en ce(s) or en le/la/les"?

That's a great question! And the answer is yes and no 😅
No most of the time, but with verbs such à "croire - to believe" we can use ces, not les. Je crois en ces actions - I believe in these actions.
However it's not very common :)

It takes a lot of practice! I would recommend you to read and listen a text at the same time (you can listen to an audio book and have the physical book as well for example) and identify the liaisons. Even only with 10 minutes a day you can really see progress 🙂
