Excellent video mate. You've got a lot of bark on you to venture down those slopes, although ancient miners and prospectors from various regions would have been all over them like mountain goats. Been up there several times on holiday; spotted scoops and one or two adits on that grid. That Iron Mine is on record but it's rarely visited. Some of those mine passages will be decoys. Miners made little statues of the cave spirits - "knockers" or "tappers" in Welsh and Cornish folklore - and left them to guard the tunnels or warn of cave-ins. By the shape and size of them, that's likely what you pointed out, and they've been left there a very long time for the same reasons. Sometimes in these mines you'll see centuries-old names carved on the walls.
Awesome video! I'm visting north Devon in May and this video has convinced me to take the hike up to the Little Hangman. I was a bit worried about you in the mine. You should really use a trail line to ensure you can find your way out.
Your video's are fantastic.I've been to N.Devon many times and never tire of the place, but you rearly are a nutter for venturing along here.lol.I almost couldnt watch.
Great videos mate, and good commitment getting to all these spots regularly! I was wondering where you do all your research? Do you look at old maps etc? Keep it up 👍

Aha, yeah, I do find myself in some 'situations' but I've never needed to be rescued.
