I’ve come to realize Robert Plant’s solo career gets an A+ for effort and quality. This song is every bit as good as Zepplin songs. At the time, I bought the albums, but thought of it automatically inferior. I was wrong

Jimmy Page is so great that he could make a squeaky door sound melodic and beautiful. This may have been one of the only times that he collaborated with Plant during the solo years. Great song!

@@johnniehoney6561 Thanks JH it was an important time in my life when I got to see a band such as them. I grew up listening to LZ and that concert Brought it all Home like the song said lol. Jimmy Page did an awesome job when he was with the Firm. Listen to the album that has "Radio Active" and "Satisfaction Guaranteed". I saw the Firm with Paul Rodgers on vocals and JP in the "Midtown Music Festival" in Atlanta GA in April of 2001. Other bands that day were "The Allman Brothers" and "Seven Dust!"
Brings back memories. The late 80's had some damn good music despite being stereotyped as being nothing but glam rock. Rush was out supporting hold your fire at this time which I saw live with Tommy Shaw, triumph just had recently release two solid albums including sport of kings, Boston had released 3rd stage a year before, damn Yankees etc. Wish I could go back and relive those days.
I used to visit jane richards in fulbourn hospital in 1988. There was a patient there called liz. Everytime she saw me she used to say i should listen to Robert plants music . I thought why , he's past it , not my generation. Anyway she kept up with this , so l thought ok I'll buy his album " Now And Zen." And what a surprise !! Listening to the first track " Heaven Knows " Great stuff. I loved that track ( for reasons you hopefully understand by now.) The whole album was great. " Ship of fools " as perfect a song about the Father in heaven as I've ever heard. I guess lizy has passed away by now. Thanks lizy l owe you. Michael xx🌈🎵.
Saw Plant's 88 tour in Costa Mesa,CA at the Pacific Amphitheater. Great show. Page, unfortunately wasn't there. Doug Boyle, Plant's guitarist on Now and Zen filled in quite admirably.
I have been listening to Led Zep since I was a Child. I can tell you that they only get better and better with age. No Rock Group could ever=Led Zeppelin. No Man can ever mimick "Robert Plant"! Summer of 88'. Just graduated high school. Had a beach house down at the Jersey Shore. One of the best times of my life. Was already a huge Zeppelin fan. This song and the cassette was blaring all the time. Doesn't get the credit he deserves for his solo stuff.
Precious Hearts, when I saw 'now and Zen' I realised that this is for all the tears that have ever been shed, and all the tears that will ever be shed. The Universe is VERY Big and VERY SMART!! We. Love. You. Lots. Too, Gaia!! 💛💛
This should have been the song for “The Living Daylights” !!! Maybe with a tweak in the lyrics to fit the movie better, but the music is perfect for a Bond film! Man, I was so little in the 80s I wasn’t aware of Robert plant, discovering his solo work is such a gift!!!
Heaven Knows by Robert Plant, both the vocals and music are very hypnotizing and mesmerizing. The complicated love story between Robert Plant's character and the female model in this music video makes for some very enthralling viewing.
I admit that I became intrigued by this Heaven Knows song by Robert Plant after I unexpectedly hearing it on an online radio station less than 7 days ago. The vintage rock music vibe and superb vocals made me curious to check out the music video, fascinating to see music video to the Heaven Knows song interconnected to a musical story of some beautiful woman drawing the music narrator in during one of his travels.
33 years ago! Wow! Remember when I got the cassette of this album, wore it out!! the whole album is kick Ass! There aren't many musicians, song writers as this guy any more. He also plays a mean harmonica. Much love}!
I haven't heard this song in decades, but today the line "With all the romance of the Tonton Macoute" got into my head, and I had to look up this video.
Let me in in YYOUR HAVEN,DO LET ME IN!(impossible to be here where I am TRULLY),so little to say that adoring you is A BIG SEGMNET FOR ME TO BE AKIVE!!!
This is another great song and video, of Robert Plant's. I love him. And it is refreshing how open-minded, and flexible, Robert seems to be, especially when it's about honoring and respecting other people's nationalities and heritages. He is just a good man all the way!! It looks like he studied these people, and incorporated that into this video, with everybody working together. Thanks for another excellent meaningful video, Robert Plant. 🎨🎬

@RobertPlant-c3t I have been a fan for over forty years, and I am from somewhere in New England. Thanks for asking.
Always loved this song , still at my age of 62, I was 30 years old when it came out! Robert Plant, you rock, always, from a fan born in Puerto Rico, living in the USA now.
Hi Lynn hope you're okay?
Guitar solo is f'ing PERFECT.
DAVID SHORT of course it is...it's Jimmy Page:)!
You bet
..my buddy wrote this song ..he played his cassette demo constantly..
So happy that Robert gave him the opportunity to produce the album 😇
Awww... the days I spent rewinding this cassette in my car down on A1A Ft. Lauderdale Beach!
That brings me back. In fact, wasn't Robert Plant the first concert at (then) newly built Miami Arena touring in support of this album back in 1988?
Peaches Records and Tapes days on Sunrise Blvd before you hit US1
Me too, Ft Lauderdale strip back in the day. Wonderful memories
The Lamborghini dealership too @@andretv2308
" heaven knows" this man is gorgeous
What can I say It’s HEAVEN KNOWS!! One of the best songs of all time!
I saw him in concert the year Now and Zen came out. Best concert I've ever been to. His band at the time was unbelievably great.
Billy’s revenge we had a bootleg of from the la show and it was completely the best song of the night! Bass line just kept goin As plant took his vocals all over the place. I saw that your also in Vancouver:)
I saw them on the "Plant Page" tour just a few years after that one, Jason Bonham was drumming, it was basically Zeppelin and it was unbelievably Awesome too!
@@Georgia-Vic I've never seen Page, that must have been awesome. I really wanted to miss each of the guys from LZ , when I saw Plant, but Plant was SO good. I didn't miss them. His band was so good. I'm really glad you got to see those two together. I'm sure it was great.
I saw zeppelin in 1979 best concert ever hands down @@Georgia-Vic
Anyone remember BACK..........when video's actually had a story to tell within them!?!? Well,THIS was one of them!!! Fabulous song,Fabulous video!!!
What's wrong with glam rock--David Bowie, New York Dolls,Alice Cooper--etc--All great
I go back and relive those times almost every day. They can't take my memories away. Well,.......
Listening to the first track " Heaven Knows "
Great stuff. I loved that track ( for reasons you hopefully understand by now.) The whole album was great. " Ship of fools " as perfect a song about the Father in heaven as I've ever heard. I guess lizy has passed away by now.
Thanks lizy l owe you. Michael xx🌈🎵.
Awesome.....just awesome.
Now and Zen....
I discovered Plant's solo albums a couple of weeks ago! AMAZING!!!!! Can't stop listening!
You know who on lead guitar, one of his best solos.
You're right abut that. This is in my top ten Page solos.Especially the outro!
Saw Plant's 88 tour in Costa Mesa,CA at the Pacific Amphitheater. Great show. Page, unfortunately wasn't there. Doug Boyle, Plant's guitarist on Now and Zen filled in quite admirably.
A poetic genius musical genius brilliant man
His lyrics are incredible!
With all the romance of the Tonton Macoute 🥰
You were pumping iron whilst I was pumping irony. One of my favorite lyrics ever.
So true! I had totally forgotten about it until he just sang it out. Love it.
What does it mean?
He is a genius. Then I suppose anything goes.
Robert like Bowie always shoots for the deep human roots of mysticism and music, sharing the all of life with all of us.
I have been listening to Led Zep since I was a Child. I can tell you that they only get better and better with age. No Rock Group could ever=Led Zeppelin. No Man can ever mimick "Robert Plant"! Musical-Geniuses only arrive once a Century. How blessed are we, to be Born, during the Centuries of "ROCK LEGENDS, LED ZEPPELIN"? PeaceOut from Canada.
🇨🇦✌️🎶🌬❤️🇬🇧🕊🌎💫
Good to see Robert getting some re recognition for his solo era
How could anyone not be enthralled by "Heaven Know"? The harmonies, the haunting melody...
Summer of 88'. Just graduated high school. Had a beach house down at the Jersey Shore. One of the best times of my life. Was already a huge Zeppelin fan. This song and the cassette was blaring all the time. Doesn't get the credit he deserves for his solo stuff.
Always loved this song, and most of his solo 80s output. I remember his videos getting much airplay on MTV.
Histrionic. Love Robert Plant and all of his music, since the beginning
One of my favorite albums of all times. Right next to anything Alan Parsons. But I'm a Gen X'er so I love lots of music!
A very 80s track, but still hauntingly cool Robert Plant played.
LOVE YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST AMEN 🙏 ❤
For Robert Plant?
Precious Hearts, when I saw 'now and Zen' I realised that this is for all the tears that have ever been shed, and all the tears that will ever be shed. The Universe is VERY Big and VERY SMART!!
We. Love. You. Lots. Too, Gaia!!
💛💛
Hi Lea hope you're okay?
Robert plant is the bomb
Sidney Garcia right
Got that right
This should have been the song for “The Living Daylights” !!! Maybe with a tweak in the lyrics to fit the movie better, but the music is perfect for a Bond film! Man, I was so little in the 80s I wasn’t aware of Robert plant, discovering his solo work is such a gift!!!
This is one Robert's best
Awww man but just past midnight here. Happy birthday Robert, you'll always be a favorite ❤
Wow, how EPIC this song is!
Another amazing song from the mighty and mysterious 80s.
Heaven Knows by Robert Plant, both the vocals and music are very hypnotizing and mesmerizing. The complicated love story between Robert Plant's character and the female model in this music video makes for some very enthralling viewing.
I did not realise Jimmy played lead on this track, but now I know its so obviously Jimmy.
Hi stella hope you're okay?
Thank you Robert for your musical mentality, for what you have given to your fans, and for your love for my country Morocco ❤🎶🇲🇦🇬🇧👍
Роберт Плант - красавчик! Обожаю. ❤
One of my all-time favorite songs. Always play it still after all these years. Pages guitar solo is so great in this!
Such a great song, loved it when I was a kid. Still holds up. Plant at his exotic best!
33 years ago! Wow! Remember when I got the cassette of this album, wore it out!! the whole album is kick Ass! There aren't many musicians, song writers as this guy any more. He also plays a mean harmonica. Much love}!
Plant and Page are musical geniuses.
Heaven Knows By Robert Plant Is My Favorite Song. this masterpiece is The Greatest Song In Robert Plants Catalog.
Now and Zen! Great CD!
Absolutely.
maintenant et toujours super zen superbe cd
Thank-You Robert for all the wonderful music & memories!!
I haven't heard this song in decades, but today the line "With all the romance of the Tonton Macoute" got into my head, and I had to look up this video.
Another Masterpiece from Plant.. this guy is so amazing! ❤
Back in 88 this was one of my favorite songs of the year :) Feeling very happy listening to it again :)
Hell Yeah! That's what I'm talking about Rock God Rober Plant.
I have two people I wanted to meet in person as a bucket list. Robert Plant and David Gilmour. Neither will ever happen. Robert Plant put out the best music in the 80;s. To this day I listen to these songs. AMAZING!
