How to fit a Nightlatch Lock

In this ‘how to’ video we show you how to fit a nightlatch lock. We look at the tools you’ll need, how the lock should be positioned in relation to an existing deadlock and some useful installation tips that should ensure the nightlatch lock fitment is correct and secure. Please note that we (safe.co.uk) would always recommend combining a nightlatch lock with an existing deadlock for increased security.

Hi,
Today I had to call a locksmith to open the door for me as I left my keys at home. He drilled around the lock on the outside and now the nightlock cannot be opened from the outside. Is there a way to fit the outdoor portion of the lock back in?

I'm a locksmith the locksmith should be doing a non destructive method on a basic night latch if the lock is damaged he can't be a high quality tradesman

Can i fit this night latch lock in the upvc frame whose thickness is 70 mm ??

Unfortunately this night latch is not designed to be fitted to a UPVC door.
