- Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire using only Mega Pokemon?
Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
Hardcore Rules:
No items in battle (only held)
No overleveling past the next gym leader
Viewer Rules:
Nickname all Pokemon

I recently had a chance to use a mega aggron in a Rom hack, and I was presently surprised how useful he was! I’ve never been a big aggron fan, but am now. At least his mega evolution
the best thing about mega aggron is that he is pure steel type so he loses some weaknesses, very useful if you know how to use it!
@@israelsanabria1676 yeah, and filter reduces super effective damage too! So he only takes 1.5x damage instead of 2.
In the game I played, he was able to tank earthquakes pretty well even from a mega tyranitar!

Critique on some things:
Altaria in the e4 prefers a physical set. Dragon Dance by level up, alongside its mega having a Pixilate STAB Return, plus, Adamant nature. I would have ran physical Altaria.
I also would have swapped Mawile for Gardevoir, as you get its stone after defeating Groudon and you already have a Huge/Pure power Mega Medicham anyways. Would also be great for Sidney and Drake.
While you did great here, there are several parts like those where you could've played better, still, gg for the win
Oh 100%, I misplay a lot in my runs not gonna lie, you should see the mistakes I make on my wipes some are just flat out dumb lol, I honestly didn't know I could get the gardevoir stone before post game so that's really good to know for the future, cheers for that

I enjoy watching this run. A nuzlocke using mega Pokémon is something different. I enjoy seeing my favorite mons mega evolve like Mega Blaziken, Mega Aggron, and Mega Altaria. I wish i could of saw Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Medicham get some action in, and would of love to see mega Manectric too, but he sadly got permabox early in game.

People say megas are the best gimmick and I agree it’s the best gameplay wise but a lot of the designs miss in my opinion. Some of them look so dumb and it leaves me disappointed. Honestly my favourite mega is the one on the thumbnail. Mega Aggron is so dope! Not only does it make it more tanky but it also gets its rock type removed to become a pure steel type while looking awesome!

Another interesting gimmick could have been to make more Mons with Synergy like Ash-Greninja. Apparently, this was a scrapped idea from S/M and US/UM.

The rules for a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge are as follows
Only one Pokemon can be caught per area, and you can only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in that area.
You cannot catch a duplicate of any Pokemon.
If a Pokemon faints in battle it is classified as DEAD and must be released back into the wild.
You can’t use healing items in battle.
The player may only catch the first wild Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first wild Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.
Double Kick against that Machop would've dealt more damage with STAB than Peck would.

It’s a skill you can learn man, RUclips is ideal for it I started knowing nothing and got to a point just from them videos, however in full transparency my last 5 vids I haven’t personally edited so makes my life a bit easier lol

Some of them, like Houndoom, Aerodactyl, etc
They were fine in XY ORAS, but then USUM made all the pokedexes sound like they were constantly pained so people didn't feel as angry when they remove megas in the next game. Spoiler, it didn't work.

You had to either have made a deal with chat or a self rule for no legends. I do not believe that you would just let them die to fish. You had answers to them like idk aggron. You couldve avoided the other deaths too but megas are so powerful that I didn't doubt for one second that you couldn't do it. If I did this challenge I would solo nearly the entire game with mega Swampert. I did a solo Swampert in emerald, give it a mega stone and just go.
