Cheng (Zhenwei Wang) was 15 in that movie back in 2010. He's now 29 years old. And those two or three older dudes look like they're either 16 or 17 years old in that movie.

Here is the real reason. When Mr. Han heard Dre and his mom talking about why Dre was upset. Cheng kept harassing him, but never told his mom, because he didn’t want to make the situation worse. Mr. Han wanted to know the truth. Dre didn’t throw the water to get beat up, he did that to reveal the truth. That’s how Mr. Han found out, he heard Dre yelling in pain when he was getting punched in the stomach, and when he got kicked in the stomach, causing him to fall on the floor. That’s when Mr. Han found out the truth.
And that’s why he had to carry Dre to his apartment, Dre was in too much pain to stand up, luckily he saved Dre from getting knocked out by Cheng’s punch.

and to said that, the scene of jackie chan beating the bad kid can be real, cause he is proved to be a powerful professional kung fu martial artist, and if there are really this strong kid, i think he probably can do the same in the movie.
Japanese karate and Chinese kung fu are not the same
Never liked this scene, taking off jackets and not “ hitting “ these thugs. Miagi put down that gang with force and didn’t care if they were underage teens. A disappointment to the original karate kid.
