i know this will fall on deaf ears but for the love of god STOP using "african-american" as an umbrella term for BLACK. lupita was born in mexico and is ethnically KENYAN. winston is an immigrant from TOBAGO. they are not african-american. get out starred daniel kaluuya, born in london from UGANDAN parents. just say BLACK.
It’s some people that don’t like this movie because they don’t understand the concept lol. That’s why you have to pay attention. Watch it again. I’ve seen it 3x already lol
lmTrynaROBYOU exactly people calling it “dumb” or “boring and overrated” were the same people laughing and not fully paying attention. It’s such a deep concept with symbolism.
“I love horror because it gets a visceral reaction. It gets an audible reaction. And it always makes you feel first. Art that makes you feel ends up making you think.” That’s a very good point from Peele.
@@paperchasindude6578 yeah man, it cracks some jokes at the right moments. And well I dont want to spoil it so go see it for yourself. But for me it was good!
Peele said that Lupita gave some of the most iconic horror performances in history. That's pretty major. You may say it's self-serving since it was in his movie, but I'm inclined to agree
She did that - I thought the entire cast was exceptional and the child actors were really impressive, but Lupita's performance was on a whole other level.
“I think that we are our own worst enemy because we are so capable of lying to ourselves...about our shame, about our guilt, about our sins...we are very good at telling ourselves, ‘It’s not us, it’s them.’ When you suppress something as a group, whether it be racism, classism, or xenophobia...historically, we see it come out in very atrocious ways.” The themes expressed in the movie that Jordan discusses right here are SO POETIC.
saw it last night. figured i had the movie figured out before i saw it and I couldnt have been more wrong. apparently this film is 2 of 4 horror movies hes planning in the next couple years and so far hes 2/2. knocked out.
Saw it twice yesterday and today. I have been researching the theories to this film ever since, its absolutely brilliant plus entertaining. Bravo Mr Peele
I can't wait to see this again, like tonight! We screened Us at SXSW and the audience was absolutely floored. Such a great film even though the end was a little predictable. It was entertaining all the way through. It was hard not to give out all the spoilers in our video review but we managed to not spill the beans! The performances are OUTSTANDING and the movie is creepy AF. #Watchyourself!
Ok I haven’t seen the movie yet just the trailer. But was I the only one that thought the film could be lowkey commenting on how white people would one day call us color people white and them black. Idk I thought of that because of the recent extreme issue of black facing and cultural appropriation happening nowadays. Especially since get out was about white people messing with the mental of black people. So I assume the other version of the family was white people themselves imitating this black family and trying to get rid of them.
Yeahhh the movie has really nothing to do with race if you go watch it. It's about the class divide in America and how we keep the proletariats from making something more of themselves because we define them as unpriveleged.
I have not watched the movie yet. Going 2 tonite. But from what I have read and all the analyzing online, it appears you need a degree to comprehend the movie. I just want to be scared watching the movie not take a SAT test.

Agreed!
Such a pet peeve of mine!
Really the term should only be used for Asian Americans (let's not start calling them yellow fellows now).
But they are African and may be American that makes them African American right.....Do you fear the word African

I agree with him.
I saw it last night and WOW huge plot twist at the end. I am shook
Yes it was a shock to me too
well... I guess that why the tethered Adelaide who was pretending to be normal had a hard time killing the tethered son
Wow if y'all were shocked, y'all don't really watch movies. I saw the twist from a mile away.
Naw I didn't notice the twist
Well my thing with the plot twist to me is that it was so obvious. Was it just me who thought this?
Lupita in this interview looks SO bomb! The hair, the dress. Makeup is on point. The woman looks good.
It’s like... a rollercoaster ride. I was all in, and I can’t remember the last time I saw a movie that maintained that level of tension so well.

“When that darkness in us is left unattended to, it can swell out of control, wear its ugly head, and cause a lot of destruction in the world.” 👏🏽👌🏽
If the twist was revealed earlier, The movie would make way more sense. but maybe thats so u can watch it more than once.

Saw it last night, very suspenseful!!!
Some people don’t like it because it’s not their usual jump scare horror fest. If you have your head screwed on, this film is AHEAD of its time! 💕
literally almost cried when I saw this Friday because it was so good lol
Saw it last night and it was amazing 👏🏽
He gives so many messages and clues in his movies !!stay woke!!

This movie was AWESOME! Makes you think LONG after the credits roll 💯
How does this not have a million comments? 🔥 #jordanpeele
There's gonna be someone that says "You need a higher IQ to understand Jordan Peele movies". I can feel it coming 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♂️
Anyway, great movie.
Already happened.
I want my kids to be as savage as Zola and Jordan they gave me life in this movie
My exact copy Lupita 😍😍..I need a way to shot such movies..
I can see this being a Halloween costume hit this year.
I thought everyone knew it was the tethered the whole time. Like there was no big twist at the end because there was so many clues in the beginning
Courtney Williams girl I missed that completely!
Such an incredible movie
She is so absolutely gorgeous.
Genius Jordan peele
Damn she look good as hell
I watched get out and us multiple times. It was just soooo good.
How does this video only have 63 views so far?
because it's stupid.
rob bro RUclips probably because you came very early?
This was a great movie!
One of the best horror movies in a long time
Brian Concepcion I agree! ❤️
Well done Mr. Peele!
Ok that little boy has such a cute voice
Tariq Nasheed has a pretty solid theory that the little boy Jason was also switched like his mother
I’m no gonna lie but I wouldn’t mind Lupita and Winston dating ..
Instant classic that I will have a physical copy of
More like a physical clone

Great movie
I still cant forgive Nakia for shacking up with M'baku after T'Challa got dusted
Trashy
Does it mean that the fake Adelaide suppressed what she had done to the real Adelaide? And then she just remembers it at the end of the movie?
She looks too much like Red in this interview
Love my people
Best fucking movie!! Is a genious!
👍👍👍👍
I like that cat Movie the best
Lupita did a great acting job in this film but honestly, this movie was trash
