Jordan seems like a really sweet guy, very likeable!
Because hes actually passionate about his craft. Hes happy to talk to people who are genuine supporters of his work. As any artist should be
Agreed. I would hardly ever bother commenting on something like this, but was just about to post an almost identical comment. He seems like a genuinely nice person and Yasmin is obviously a very talented interviewer. Knows how to ask good questions and also how to shut up and listen.

Caskit G look in the mirror and see the back of your damn head like wtf is happening right now 😳
I think the reason why scissors are important is because the scissor has 2 blades never splitting just like red and adelaide
Correct. They represent the rabbit ears as an image and they are 2 blades that are interlocked as one device, and their purpose would be diminished should they be separated.
@@YourPalHDee yeeet some one under stands me was wondering all this Tim why the fuck scissors
I think it’s to represent two opposing sides that are similar coming together in conflict to sever the thread. They’re opposing but they’re the same. And the conflict of this duality severs the connection between these two opposing forces. The consequences of that idea is deep in of itself. For the movie and for us

Favorite interview of Jordan Peele thus far. Yasmin has it. No cringiness from either end. Great questions; Great responses; Great interview.
The way she smiles at the son in the end gave me shivers down my spine
lupita scary af hahaha
This interview is a great example of interviews in general. There is mutual respect, love, and insight. I love how they bounce off each other, how they key in to the important aspects. When jp said music is the key to scary movies I felt it. That’s why I cover my ears during em and it makes me feel safer. He has an eye for the scary in the daily and she had an eye for insightful questions. Damn good watch.
Is it me or does Jordan look like Elvin from the Cosby Show
Ya feel me!!!
Ab-so-freakin-lute-ly!

Well I’ll be damned! 😩
Omg he does!!! 😮 lol
Did anyone notice the mom said “ since we been UP HERE”. In the beginning clip 0:15
They went up north to the family vacation home. So yes up here.
So what?
I can tell he takes the music to his films quite serious bc "Sikiliza Kwa Wahenga" was hella scary and then like POOF! We're bopping our heads to "Redbone" 👏💯. But when Mr. Peele had Mr. Abels returned for Us and I heard "Anthem" - I can honestly say, I was terrified AF 😱 What an eerily, dope AF opening theme though!! One minute ur getting chills from fear but all of a sudden, you're bopping ur head at the same time 😅😅.... And then taking us right into Janelle Monae's "I like that".... Crazy how he thinks of things like this - I love that abt him!!! 💕💯👏
My theory is the two movies, "Get Out" and "Us", are in the same universe. The "Tetherd" experiment was an attempt by the "Coagula Cult" at creating bodies to transfer their consciousness into, instead of abducting people for that purpose. So "Us" is a kind of prequel.
How is Us a prequel when everyone in America except the main four died?
Ohh! I also had the whole government experiment gone wrong theory but never tied it to the cult from get out! I like where you went with it but maybe instead of it being a prequel, the coagula group discontinued the experiment cuz it didnt work so just kind of left it alone? 🤷🏻♀️ 👀 nevertheless i got 5 on it will forever terrify people now 🤣🤣🤣
Captain Everyman in the early stages of the tethered project they were involved but the conscious didn't transfer so they tried for themselves and that's how they both connect us is not a prequel
@@ScottSullivanTV Who said that everyone died? In the original hands across America there were gaps in the chain. So, ideally there could have been areas or states where the tethered didn't take over. I can see the original posters theory as being a thing. Those responsible for the tethered experiment had to have protocols put into place in the case their experiment backfired. The privelege will have a way out over those who aren't as fortunate.
Scott Sullivan it never said everyone was dead and get out could take place before the events in US. If you remember the government project was already abandoned when she was a child, that leaves enough time for those scientist to set up shop in a new town and begin other experiments.
My INSANELY observant 17 yr old daughter just pointed out that Mr. Peele is wearing the EXACT SAME shirt and jacket as was Jack Torrance (aka Jack Nicholsen) in the bar scene with "Lloyd the bartender in the Shining. So I looked it up and.....well.....just Google the scene for yourself! I wonder if Jordan even realizes it. 😬

@@beautyforashestv5959 no cap in my dream I met this guy and on his arm was a tattoo of a slave drive and slaves, then I saw his tattoo move, I was like I'm just going to ignore that. Then this big buff guy(thanos) shows up and this tattoo guy fights with thanos, his about to put a kabab stick in thanos's head when that breaks. I run to my kitchen grab a knife but instead of going back to my sisters room I run to my moms room cause its closer and even in a dream I'm not about to run towards the danger. I lock the door and start thinking of places to hide then all of a sudden thanos breaks the door. Then I woke up. I only remember this dream because it happened this week.

PMC05 dude it's just a movie!
PMC05 I wonder if he placed this in the film as an homage to the Lost Boys, having taken place in Santa Cruz. He seems to like nodding to old school horror in that way- which is dope
Jordann Williams in the opening scene where the girl is at the carnivals with her parents her mom says “their filming a movie at the carousel” and it’s a reference to the lost boys scene lol

eilrahc700 oh yeah...lol
I like how he says “the difference between comedy and horror is music” I truly agree. The newer generations have been making video edits from tv shows and changing the music and adding dramatic cuts.
From watching Key and Peele I never would have expected for Jordan Peele to be a genius in the horror movie genre as well- and I love that about him
I've always said that comedians are the most serious people that I know. They’re also very introspective
"Get us out" boom mystery solved nothing to see here folks.......
😂😂
His next movie title is rumored to be called Help. HELP US GETOUT
We must protect this man at all costs, playing with the industry is playing with fire
He is a very talented man, I loved him when he was in comedy but thrillers and horrors are my favourite genre and Us is one of my favourite thrillers of all time! Get out was also fantastic. Comedy is my second favourite genre so I hope he never leaves that, but he does thriller so well I can’t wait for more from him! I hope he’ll release another one soon
My god, Jordan Peele is just so down to earth and he’s so damn talented. I really admire him and I can’t wait to see everything he does for the rest of his career and I hope he continues to have the support that he has right now cause he fully deserves it

"Redbone" will forever be connected to Get Out for me.
I will never hear “Five on it” the same again.
This movie is dope, I actually enjoyed it!....btw I love her Rosa Parks T-shirt.
Randyrita Ford Actually?
“Did you find Get Out scarier or Us?”
I found that to be an interesting question. it’s honestly a tough answer. what’s more fearful? man v. society or man v. man? both movies really pull at socially as well as psychological fears and oppressions. Jordan is really onto something and i’m ALL for it. 💯🔋

Jordan is the Blackest biracial person I’ve ever experienced..I forget he wasn’t raised with a black family, that’s weird in itself...I LOVE HIS IDAF PERSONALITY and how he gets away with it off of the strength that his Mom And Wife are white!!..❤️❤️❤️
Bae Goals wow, I didn't even know that! That's actually interesting if you think about it bc it probably lends some perspective for him when it comes to writing such films. He has a glimpse into both worlds and therefore is able to extract what he needs from each for these genius movies. As someone who's Asian and White, I've definitely found myself mulling over the differences and similarities between my "two halves." He's a genius, plain and simple.
His wife is white never would've known he has a strong mind
how is it weird that he has black parents?
