It just feels like rockstar was punishing us for remembering and caring about all the characters from lost and damned, which is like the opposite of what you're supposed to do when writing a story
Rockstar did johnny dirty in gta 5, in gta 4 he was like a modern john marston when it comes to morality and hated drugs, seeing him get killed off like a random goon by Trevor was a slap in the face to everyone who played the lost and damned.
It's very true meth could seriously alter her appearance but changing her face, hair colour and eye colour (?) felt like too much to me. She just looked like an entirely different person, I dunno.
I loved 5 as much as the next guy, but the writing was L. Especially compared to the deep writing that was on 4. Let alone what would come later in RDR2. Like okay, you want Johnny to regroup and reform The Lost after the Alderney cluster fuck? Sure. But why San Andreas? They established that the Angels of Death are not only the bigger gang, having members in every single continent except Antarctica. But also established that San Andreas is their home state. I can accept Los Santos not having a chapter, the intense antiracist and hardcore liberal policies, and overall attitude in that city, would totally drive a major wedge in the number of members a group like the AoD'd have. But the AoD wouldn't just let their biggest known rival march right up onto their home state like they own it. Remember, The Lost was only like 12 guys in Alderney plus, let's say another 50 for that Liberty chapter. That's a sizable gang, but not against a worldwide force like the AoD. Angus only lived because he probably had no reason to stick around with the gang after the fall. He sure as shit can't ride anymore, and i do think he'd turn his back on Johnny once he learned Ashley is not only back in his life, but essentially turned him into an addict. Angus saw the trouble Ashley was from a mile away and clearly didn't like her. The two wouldn't want to fight each other, and obviously Angus can't. So more likely they'd just go their separate ways. If Johnny was to remake The Lost in a new place, why not Leonida or somewhere further from SA? Hell i could even see somewhere almost never seen like Carcer. Just not SA, that's the equivalent of trying to have a major drug deal...in the middle of a DEA office.
Johnny was fine but the lost and the damned dlc was pretty mediocre especially compared to 4 and the ballad of gay tony. Killing Johnny like this is mainly used to show how unpredictable Trevor is gonna be.
Things like this are exactly why If I'm being completely honest I don't like GTA 5 as much as everyone else. It just feels like a game made by people who have nothing but spite for GTA 4 and it's fans. It intentionally ruins that game and multiple characters from it as well as devaluing it's story. It almost feels like Rockstar was mad at people for liking GTA 4 so they did everything they could to make GTA 5 completely night and day different. Anything they kept from GTA 4 was either toned down, ruined or almost completely changed. GTA 5 feels like a game made from spite and contempt.
They should've made Trevor work hard to kill Johnny if it were meant to be. Have these 2 shoot at each other like mad. Make it so Johnny gives it all he got even if it isn't enough. Make him go down fighting hard. Johnny may have lost everything but not the will to fight.
i think the reason why johnny got killed was that he called Trevor a "motherfucker" Trevor gets emotional because her mother was in prison, but before that, she was mentally and sexually abusive and that is my opinion.
10 years later and some are still mad about it lol, ngl i disliked him and the whole lost dlc it was just not that fun imo. When it comes to the writing meh i liked it, but to each their own.
this was one of the singlemost funny parts of GTA 5. It is a joke. It is absolutely taking the piss. And that's why it's so good. TLAD was the weakest story imo since Vice City Stories on the PSP

Yeah there's a ton of parallels between John and Johnny, I liked them both a lot.
johnny never deserved it poor guy also rockstar giving us the finger not caring about us and hating us and showing it
L
L to johnny

Ashley's face drastically changing from '08 to '13 actually made sense though because by the end of TLaD, she was still addicted to meth.
It's very true meth could seriously alter her appearance but changing her face, hair colour and eye colour (?) felt like too much to me. She just looked like an entirely different person, I dunno.
Johnny was genuinely an awesome character and the way Rockstar killed him off, they did Johnny so dirty....
Lost but not forgotten
Rockstar really took the title Lost and Damned at heart with Johnny and his gang
it kinda did what last of us 2 did years later
They could have at least let Johnny go out a bad ass way, like Trevor’s death were he gets blown up or is a boss fight you kill later in the game
all the 4 carachters in 5 look like crap also toni and luis in vcs and lcs look WRONG! rockstar always fucks up their games and carachters
You mean toni and victor
@@the_sam_strong yep
You know LCS and VCS came out after VC and GTA3
@@LoreCore1309 ye but Toni and Vic should look like in vc and 3 and be the same age not younger also the Maps should be the same like in vc and 3
Toni and Luis in VCS and LCS?
What?

I liked tlad, it was the only gta that is spent almost entirely on a bike since johnny is a biker
@@the_sam_strongwell yea but being made to use a bike isn't really a positive

This versus the Joel death from Last Of Us 2. Probably some of the most weird decisions made.
Rockstar with Johnny's death really showed how GTA 5 altogether was going to be like, totally disconnected from GTA 4 lmao
They should've made Trevor work hard to kill Johnny if it were meant to be.

Agreed! That ruined Trevor for me. I couldn't care about him. GTA V's ending A wasn't so bad. Dan Houser disappointed me with that.
cinemasins level analysis on the character model

Spot on.

Shame on you r how dare you you're not allowed to kill off Johhny shame on you
For fucks sake it's been more than 10 years already, people aren't even mourning their dead kids as much. Get a grip.

I disagree
Haha ez thats rockstar telling you the gta iv is reddit level story telling
i wish reddit storytelling was this good
R* explained through T's dialogue why it happened pretty much LOL. Get over it, Johnny was weak. HE got what he had coming
:(
nah trevor too OP for the gta 4 verse, it's like darkseid against puny goofy spiderman.
Never really cared for Johnny and his gang ngl, one of the weakest storylines in the whole series

In retrospect GTA IV fans got exactly what they deserved for being the most insufferable subgroup of the gta fandom with this glorious intro scene
