8 hours in a barrel will do absolutely nothing unless that barrel is wet as hell or you are doing some crazy vibration or rapid heat cycling. There is a reason most whiskey is finishing is measured in months not hours.

These guys are funny. Remember when blended Whiskey was frowned upon by the Whiskey gods? Pepperidge Farms rememberers. I guess you need to sprinkle it with the magic fairy dust called marketing. Say "Masterbaiter" 3 times and click your heels and poof! All of a sudden you find yourself sitting in a comfortable leather chair in a silk smoking jacket with a glass of the finest liquid gold known to mankind and a box of Cuban cigars carefully hand rolled specifically for your taste.

I have no doubt this release is good, but the way they drop stuff in a barrel for hours/days just seems stupid. For most releases they are basically cheating the rules of whiskey definitions by actually just using wet barrels with hot chocolate or whatever flavoring they want to add but this doesn't have that level of nonsense. I'd like to see the brand move more towards traditional finishing and then actually just blend instead of tinker. You have to pay out the nose for these things as is.
Shocker. Several good whiskies splashed briefly into various containers and dumped in a vat together taste good! Brilliant! It's like printing money.
I mean sounds like y'all should start a distillery. Seem to have it all figured out!
