Your accuracy issue is most likely due to the fact that it is a take down. Your barrel is slightly loose and moving causing your accuracy problems. There is an adjustment to make the barrel snug and take movement out. Another way to resolve this problem with take downs is to mount the scope to the barrel which is possible on some take down models. Hope this helps.

    • @ryanbruckman3355

Also, the reason you aren't getting a quiet shot is because of the ammo your using. Using sub sonic will make that thing very quiet, you can also get it pretty quiet using bulk box ammo.

Well who’d have thought it… it’s 04:15am and after today there’s nothing better than watching this! I’m from the South West of England. It’s quite late here rn like nearly 4am in mid autumn, I’ve been smoking and chilling since I had a really good day! I managed to bring home 7 pigeons and 3 squirrels on my permission! I made a kind of “cottage pie” with the pigeon. Similar to a normal pie but with a potato mash topping instead of pastry! The filling was full of pigeon, gravy and hearty English vegetables!😅 I’ve got the squirrels to eat for breakfast when I wake up, as well as a tin of beans and some fresh home grown tomatoes and mushrooms that were picked from the local area! I love these videos mate and I’m constantly thinking about making my own over here in England. I could probably get an FAC here for what we need guns and that.. but up until now, my needs have been more than met with the equipment i currently use!
Btw mate have you got any tips for attracting pigeons n squirrels In woodlands?
    Thanks!
    Jake.

With a Volquartsen or Adaptive Tactical barrel that has the pic rail attached to the barrel instead of the receiver, it's more accurate than a regular 10/22. The problem is the takedown barrel isn't static to the optic rail. You remove the barrel but the scope stays on the receiver. Each shot slightly moves the zero. With a Volquartsen barrel, the scope is attached to the barrel and comes off with the barrel when you take it apart.

That scene where Kendal was using the stick to twist around the squirrels tail reminded me of my favorite ever KG video, he was bow hunting squirrels and one ran up in a hollow tree, with his arrow, and he… well your actually gonna have to watch to see what happens. By the way KG, that tail twisting tip has saved me a few times, the key for me has been a slightly more sturdy stick, with some texture or a knob on the end, it catches their fur better.

The fixed parallax on these Leopold scopes is set at 150 yards. You are trying to groop at 50 yards. To illustrate this problem, put the gun in a vice with the scope aimed at at target 50 yards away. Then, move your eye around looking through the scope. Your cross hairs will move around the target as your head moves. To get good groups with this gun, you need to (1) get a scope with an adjustable parallax, or (2) get a rimfire scope with the fixed parallax set at 50 yards.

    • @glenwunderlich2438

KG don't give up on that .22 I have alot of .22s from vintage to brand new. Try a different ammo first and see if the groups get any better. I have a few savages and a few river 10/22s that won't hold a group at all with the cci mini mags or stingers. But they hold really tight groups with regular cci standard velocity and the federal auto match and blue box. They are both 40 grain solid lead but they still have plenty of power for small game. I've taken quite a few groundhogs with my Ruger mark 3 talo edition with them and 2 where upwards toward 50 yards.

That some bands of manufactures barrels are designed better to be more accurate with a broader range of types of ammunition compared to other barrels, such as a Lother Walther Match Grade Barrel is renowned for it's accuracy and is superior to the likes of a BSA Lightning Barrel. The take down models like that aren’t the best when shooting from a rest. If you take the gun down you’ll see the barrel is a relatively small diameter where it fits into the action. When steadying your shots in a rest you are probably pulling the gun down and back which puts pressure on the forearm, that pressure will flex the barrel and cause the shots to be inconsistent. I found they are more accurate freehand or if you can get the front bag on the rest closer to the magazine that’ll put less leverage on the takedown mechanism which will cause less pressure on the barrel

hi kg i have a really good idea for a video and my idea is you would start out with the worst gun you have to kill a squirl and every time you get a squirl you go up with like rank in you gun all the way up to your favorite squirl gun.

I have the 10" non takedown version. And I'm running a similar set up, except I use the blade 2m brace since the Atf couldn't take that sh*t, The solid barrel is going to be where your accuracy is. I can spit solid groups out past 80 yards. It really is a great little woods walking gun.

After I figured out how far up the squirrel was, I would've shot up the tree.
What scope camera you using? I need something like that for some classes
