The recoil did not break the 500 nitro pistol, it was Scott's vice like grip which did not allow the gun to recoil properly in his hand resulting in a broken handle. It is a common problem among single men who overly practice their "gripping" technique resulting in extraordinary strong wrists and hands.

Something interesting about the 10 Gauge knocking Arnie over: in the video game Terminator: Resistance, you use conventional weapons for the first few missions. An M-16, a 1911, a Mac 11 and a Remington looking shotgun. They are fine for taking out the smaller drone robots, but the rifle, sub machine gun and the pistol literally do not even scratch an actual terminator. The ONLY human projectile weapon (that isn’t a rocket launcher) that can even affect the Terminators is the shotgun. It doesn’t damage them, but it DOES knock them on their backs, kinda like Scott did to Arnie. It’s actually a great “last ditch effort” tactic in the few missions you don’t have a plasma rifle to properly eliminate Terminators. Really enjoyed this video, Scott, and I would TOTALLY recommend you try out Terminator: Resistance on that powerful gaming computer you were telling us about!
As a life long Terminator fan, I must say your Arnold impression is dead on! This video legit had me laughing throughout. Another instant favorite video of mine, keep up the excellent work Scott!!!
I really expected more damage from the 9 mm. It really didn’t do much considering it’s a caliber that can blow your lung completely out of your body. I was definitely disappointed.😂👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
@@Handlebusiness626 i did get it. And i explained why the 9mm didnt do a lot of damage, robots dont have Lungs to blow out, and that makes them 9mm proof. I was expanding the joke not missing it.
Yep a 9mm can definitely blood eagle you on the spot! Much faster and maybe less painful than the original method...I mean great more vikings make it to Valhalla that way!
You can tell Scott has an absolute blast living his life lol. I’ve never been a gun enthusiast, but after watching so many of his videos, I find myself getting excited looking up calibers and models, so maybe one day I’ll start collecting miniature firearm models. Great channel and even greater energy, my friend! 🍻
Ok when a pistol breaks from recoil before somebody's wrist, that is a strong grip! I imagine Scott could punch the terminator and knock his head off. Cool video.👍👍
Definitely one of your best intros, followed immediately by one of your best videos. Nice job. The folks who put that Terminator together clearly knew what they were doing. Also, very happy you weren't injured when that 500 pistol came apart.
Keep in mind, canonically a t-800 terminator can survive multiple hits from a 40mm grenade. A .50 BMG rifle utilizing tungsten carbide armor piercing ammunition would definitely put a t-800 down if shot in the head or chest cavity where its radioactive power source is. Later models of the t-800 series such as the t-850 and t-888 would have no trouble against .50 bmg but be more vulnerable to autocannons 20mm and above.
The jaw coming off and the hand wiggling in the slo-mo after the 600 nitro hit was hilarious! Yet another great video, Scott. Sorry about the custom TC Contender though, it being a one of a kind has to hurt seeing it broken.
It would depend on which generation of exoskeleton Terminator. The original T800 was damaged by a pipe bomb, but the canonical "first" T800 series took two grenade rounds to the chest with only superficial damage, as such, all Terminators are therefore capable of withstanding most small arms fire. As goes piercing and incendiary rounds, the exoskeleton is composed of either a titanium alloy, or later, a coltan alloy. So I guess titanium alloy plate would be the material to test on. Probably still easier to stop than RoboCop though, his armour looks much heavier. Hilarious video though ;D
Robocop is actually significantly more weak than T-800s. His body and armor are a lot older than terminator bodies. Towards the end of Robocop 1 he was shot up and had to repair himself even though he was blasted with common firearms
@@sebastianriz4703 sounds like OCP cutting some corners in R&D. I supposed the materials needed to be light enough so Robocop can ride in a typical PC or they would have to transport him in a heavy duty truck. Robocop in a truck would be more realistic though as they also bring technicians for maintenance and mission support along with equipment. But that would make Robocop more of a SWAT unit than your typical beat cop.
Cameron has referred to the alloy used as both "steel" (the script) and "titanium" (in later interviews). The movie itself simply uses "hyperalloy". The coltan thing was introduced for The Sarah Connor Chronicles and is simply an ingredient used in making hard steel alloys. SCC is not canon to the movies. The pipebombs in T1 were filled with a (fictional) form of plastic explosive, so we can assume they have significant explosive force akin to C4. That bomb severed the joints of the spine, one arm, and the pelvic pistons, all weak points. The torso and skull were undamaged. All things considered, there is no way to know what "hyperalloy" is or how resilient it is other than the range of terminal effects seen in the movies. If you include SCC, then it has to be a steel alloy since you can't make a titanium alloy containing coltan. If you go with T1+T2, then it's some exotic Ti alloy that we don't yet know how to make.
@@skepticalbadger Have you ever heard of COBALT CHROME? This is what they use in surgical implants now. It's so hard that they have to use titanium cutter bits to shape it. There isn't much else in the world that is stronger than cobalt chrome. Titanium is the strongest commercially available element that you can buy and it too is so strong that bullets literally bonce off and it has a difficult time cutting cobalt chrome to size. Imagine what it would be like to shoot that!
@@solarismoon3046 I had not, interesting! Still, its hardness is only 5-800mpa which is way lower than superalloys of steel like maraging steel. Which I think you'd need to replicate the resilience of T800s as depicted in the movies.
The Terminator talking in between rounds was my favorite. When its jaw fell off and it tried to talk anyway.....that was epic. Imma laugh about that for a while. Thanks, Scott.
Scott, you are without a doubt THE BEST gun channel on RUclips. Just always a pleasure to watch. You're knowledgeable, very funny, very interesting, and very family-friendly (no profane and obscene language). Keep up the great work!
Scott really impresses me. He's young, extremely fit, is an excellent marksman with all kinds of weapons, has a great personality, and is very creative and innovative. I too have a Smith and WEsson 500 Magnum, but I use two hands to shoot it, and still can't equal Scott's marksmanship. I like his pine board penetration tests as well. Keep 'em coming!
Definitely gotta use anything more powerful than 5.56. The T800 can shrug off M16 fire like its a bug on its shoulder, and has been shown to withstand sustained fire from multiple MP5's which are chambered in 9mm x 19.
@@KaihanDTuna it's a military designation. It's not just for un-aliving stuff or causing casualties it's designated purpose is destroying stuff. Helicopters, tanks, etc.
Would you consider that 9mm round to have “punched a lung” out of this poor defenseless terminator, per say? I think our Potato In Chief predicted this outcome a few days ago, impressive.
I love how the very end of the video was pretty much Scott saying, "did you really think we'd get through a whole video without breaking a table? Come on now."
The skull which holds the T101's CPU is around 12 inches thick. If you do not destroy that, he will remain functional when supplied power. Not to mention the chassis and shell that protect the energy source is 4-5 inches thick. In otherwords - if you can destroy a tank with ANY gun. Maybe you have a chance.
Your TC pistol in 500 Nitro is fine. You didn't break the pistol itself just the bolt that holds the grip on. Props to you for being willing to fire it. I considered the .45-70 and .35 Remington to be a handful in a TC pistol. I have no urge to try the 500.
4:09 I had this same problem with my Kimber. Turns out after discussing with the local gun shop, we figured out that the extractor was tuned too tightly. Rounds were binding on the extractor when going forward. After hand tuning the extractor myself, it works perfectly fine.
I absolutely love the way you started this show and introduced your co star ! This was the very 1st time I had actually seen the 10 1/2 in 500mag . How in the world did you git it ?! Also the ingraved dessert eagle just is beyond words beautiful . Your photography is amazing and shows us exactly what we want to see . The 50 BMG ! Wow
Watching that nitro pistol break gave me two important pieces of information. First is, that recoil is INSANE (and probably shouldn't be on the market but I totally understand why you got it 😎) Fact 2... Scotts crazy hand ALSO broke that gun (beware Scotts handshake)
That thing looked tacky and weirdly flimsy to me since the day he showed it off first and the handle construction confirms it. Glad it didn't come off and smacked him in the face.
@@johnathanmcdoe I've had Encore frames in both rifle and pistol configurations. I know they are designed to handle "average" Magnum cartridges. But something like that I've no idea. I imagine that the grip screw sheared off between it's shank and the last thread. I hope that was all. My next concern would be the frame where the grip attaches.
Scott You are one of the very few people in the world that could hold onto that TC with 500 Nitro Express. To not only be able to hold it but then fire it enough times to snap that grip bolt borders on INSANE!!!! You the Man!!!
That was amazing fun, every minute of it. A great finish. I love how you worked a table into the ending. It's too bad there are no Predator level ballistic dummies as that would make a good followup.

I just couldn’t stop laughing during the entire video at all the comments that Kentucky left through the terminator, in clouding the classic “I”ll be back” line.
This is actually something I've wanted to know since I first saw the first 2 Terminator movies. In as much of a real world scenario as possible, if someone made a 100% clone correct version of a T-800, how capable could civilians be (specifically in America) at taking down a Terminator? I'd really love to see as many gun RUclips channels come together, get a fabricator that can make as close to the real thing as possible of a T-800, and see what it can actually stand up against.
You should watch Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It takes a Tungsten Core Incendiary .50 BMG (Mk.211) round with a M82 Barrett to the head to stop a T-888. A T-800 chassis though may be stopped by a "smaller" round. Both chassis models are made from a fictional 'Hyperalloy' called Coltan.
@@StephenMcGregor1986 Realistically, that'd be the minimum caliber I'd want to go hunting Terminators with, anyway. Though I'd want to carry a Birdman Weapon Systems Barrett PDW as a sidearm for close encounters. I'd prefer to use 14.5mm AP rounds for more of a safety buffer, though. I think a hot-rodded Tungsten-core .55 Boys would do the trick, too.
With the dramatic increase in capability of the Boston Dynamics robots, it's only a matter of time before we start seeing them in combat. I have been thinking for a while now, how many shots, which calibre, what location on the robot etc would be the best to stop them.
Only .50 caliber weapons and above can take down T-800s, which is the Terminator model shown in the video. Also either the chest where it's energy supply is or it's head would be the best spots to take it down.
I imagine most higher powered rifles would work, or molotovs to burn the electronics and wiring. I imagine they'd be susceptible to snares, traps and such also, maybe some thermite grenades.
That was just so much fun to watch. You turned the silliness dial up to eleven and terminated our blues. We have to wonder if Arnie has actually seen this, if he watches your channel, and what he thought of your impression of him. We can imagine he would laugh just as we did. Interesting to see, as usual, the escalation of firepower, and then pretty much at the top of the pile, as usual, 50bmg.
Let's keep in mind, that Terminators, are basically Robot Skeletons, made of Titanium or Colton, with Hyper Alloy, in Sci Fi lingo, inside of a semi organic... flesh & blood & muscle & tissue & other organ-ey stuff In said Hyper Alloy Endo Skeleton, is a mass of circuits, wiring, servos, motors, motherboards, hydraulics, etc, etc, & AI Programming, & a bunch of state of art stuff That Skeleton, made of metallic pole like structures & stuff, some metallic plating, & such Given how tough all this stuff is, & given the rounded surfaces, it's not just the metals, but the curvature of the Endoskeleton structure, Bullets would likely have a tough Time making purchase, without grazing or glancing off those rounded surfaces Especially in the heat of battle Whatever shots DO land - are they hitting anywhere, to cause any noticeable damage, or hindering effects? Bear in mind, that Terminators are likely either walking or possibly running, depending on the Model AND, more than likely, shooting back Hit & Run Tactics, ambushes, Gorilla Tactics, traps, & definitely teamwork, would probably be some of best ways to bring down single Terminator - isolating it I'd say, the head, is probably the best place to hit - probably where the most complex & important stuff is stored I'd imagine, that finding ways to disorientate, blind, short out, or distractions, are good ideas Also, I'd be willing to bet, that Grenades, Grenade Rounds, Rockets, Explosives, etc - would probably work a LOT better, than bullets

GLAD I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED 🤣🤣🤣
His jaw dropped. XD
The recoil did not break the 500 nitro pistol, it was Scott's vice like grip which did not allow the gun to recoil properly in his hand resulting in a broken handle. It is a common problem among single men who overly practice their "gripping" technique resulting in extraordinary strong wrists and hands.
You talkin bout Palmula Handerson?
aka the Quagmire arm lol
That high pitched “didn’t feel it” had me rolling. Scott’s videos get better and better!
🤣🤣
Agreed 🤣
That was spot on! 😂
that was too funny
15:50 I guess you could say that hit was................... Jaw dropping!
Hohoho
For anyone wanting a shortcut to all of Scott's truly *glorious* impressions of Arnold, I'm putting together a list!

6:00 "I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle! Hauhau!"
7:49 "Have you even started filming yet? I thought someone was throwing paperwads! Hihauhau!"
9:11 "Didn't feel it!"
11:38 "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up! Hihauhau!"
12:47 "Go get da choppah! Hihauhau!

Love that game and the DLC where you can play as the Terminator 😀
That game is a loving letter by fans to the fans. Fantastic. The atmosphere is just Perfect
Robots don't have Lungs.
They are 9mm proof.
I dont think he got the joke^^
@@Handlebusiness626 i did get it.
And i explained why the 9mm didnt do a lot of damage, robots dont have Lungs to blow out, and that makes them 9mm proof.
I was expanding the joke not missing it.
This comment wins the Internet today

He's not exactly a small lad let's be honest.
@@ShannonSouthAfrica how tall is scott
@@ResoundGuy Looks average but his arms are the size of my thighs lol.
That also might be a feature of the gun, it breaks so your wrist doesn't have too.
@@ResoundGuy He's said before that he's 6'1.

Definitely one of your best intros, followed immediately by one of your best videos. Nice job. The folks who put that Terminator together clearly knew what they were doing. Also, very happy you weren't injured when that 500 pistol came apart.
This man is a true badass. He flagged himself showing off his 50 AE Desert Eagle
Predator.
the "expression" on the dummy's face at 15:47 is priceless. Like "what was that?!"
Later models of the t-800 series such as the t-850 and t-888 would have no trouble against .50 bmg but be more vulnerable to autocannons 20mm and above.
yea in the Terminator Genysis movie they stopped a T-800 with a .50 BMG
& those 40mm grenades don't move very fast.
The jaw coming off and the hand wiggling in the slo-mo after the 600 nitro hit was hilarious! Yet another great video, Scott. Sorry about the custom TC Contender though, it being a one of a kind has to hurt seeing it broken.
Think it sheared off the handle screw?
Hellacious recoil!!
I was very depressed today, and after watching this I’m a little bit happier. Thank you Scott for making such great content.

Well scott, that .500 nirto was intended to be a decoration piece. They didn't think a gorilla would learn to operate it.
Did you capitalize the WE because you guys both have one?
Definitely gotta use anything more powerful than 5.56. The T800 can shrug off M16 fire like its a bug on its shoulder, and has been shown to withstand sustained fire from multiple MP5's which are chambered in 9mm x 19.
@16:48. That was priceless watching Arnie's eyes blink in fear as Scott finishes his sentence "Maybe that will make it through this terminator".
FR
Good thing terminators don’t have lungs or that 9mm would of blown them out.
I made a similar comment before reading yours; exactly what I was thinking!
😆
Is it good tho its terminator
Very, very lethal ammo. They leave a MASSIVE wound cavity, and go right through!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The .50 BMG makes sense.
A M82A1 is used to "un-alive" a terminator at the beginning of Terminator Genisys.
Awesome vid as usual Scott!
And they use one against a T-888 in season 2 of The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Would you consider that 9mm round to have “punched a lung” out of this poor defenseless terminator, per say? I think our Potato In Chief predicted this outcome a few days ago, impressive.
No joes aides corrected him yet again the aide clarified his statement to : Joe meant a 9mm would blow out a diaper not a lung .
Per se, per say.
4:09
I had this same problem with my Kimber.
@@doughesson oh I know it’s been here, I’m just happy to see it back around
Watching that nitro pistol break gave me two important pieces of information. First is, that recoil is INSANE (and probably shouldn't be on the market but I totally understand why you got it 😎)
Fact 2... Scotts crazy hand ALSO broke that gun (beware Scotts handshake)
it means they need to make it stronger.. and also make a version in .700NE
Edit: also needs semi-automatic
@@avlinrbdig5715 i'm not sure but i think there is a 700 NE version
That thing looked tacky and weirdly flimsy to me since the day he showed it off first and the handle construction confirms it. Glad it didn't come off and smacked him in the face.
@@johnathanmcdoe Yeah. Don't know if Scott's magic thumb would help there.
@@johnathanmcdoe I've had Encore frames in both rifle and pistol configurations. I know they are designed to handle "average" Magnum cartridges. But something like that I've no idea.

I love the fact that with every passing intro, Scott and the T-Rex are slowing morphing into Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote.
The fact you didnt get the 500 nitro barrel implanted in youre forhead is crazy! Stay safe man you got the best content.
50 beowulf to the legs, and you can watch a robotic dog walk in circles
I imagine most higher powered rifles would work, or molotovs to burn the electronics and wiring.
I imagine they'd be susceptible to snares, traps and such also, maybe some thermite grenades.
One thing I like about Kentucky Ballistics videos is how they are so closely related to everyday life.
Scammer 🖕☝️
Everyday life in America that is

Let's keep in mind, that Terminators, are basically Robot Skeletons, made of Titanium or Colton, with Hyper Alloy, in Sci Fi lingo, inside of a semi organic... flesh & blood & muscle & tissue & other organ-ey stuff
In said Hyper Alloy Endo Skeleton, is a mass of circuits, wiring, servos, motors, motherboards, hydraulics, etc, etc, & AI Programming, & a bunch of state of art stuff
That Skeleton, made of metallic pole like structures & stuff, some metallic plating, & such
Given how tough all this stuff is, & given the rounded surfaces, it's not just the metals, but the curvature of the Endoskeleton structure, Bullets would likely have a tough
Time making purchase, without grazing or glancing off those rounded surfaces
Especially in the heat of battle
Whatever shots DO land - are they hitting anywhere, to cause any noticeable damage, or hindering effects?
Bear in mind, that Terminators are likely either walking or possibly running, depending on the Model
AND, more than likely, shooting back
Hit & Run Tactics, ambushes, Gorilla Tactics, traps, & definitely teamwork, would probably be some of best ways to bring down single Terminator - isolating it
I'd say, the head, is probably the best place to hit - probably where the most complex & important stuff is stored
I'd imagine, that finding ways to disorientate, blind, short out, or distractions, are good ideas
Also, I'd be willing to bet, that Grenades, Grenade Rounds, Rockets, Explosives, etc - would probably work a LOT better, than bullets
Been having a pretty rough week so far, your content helps a bit. The first three minutes of this already has me in a laughing fit, thanks Scott
