My thoughts: They named her Snow White not just because she was born during a snowstorm but also because it was a moment of resilience, and I think some of us can resonate with that. I've gone through horrendous shit during the past 2 years, so that message of being resilient in the midst of a storm resonates with me. I think both Rachel and Gal are beautiful. Is Gal prettier? Yes. But that's the point. Even though the queen is the prettiest, she's not fairest. I know Rachel is certainly not acting like the fairest of them all and quite frankly needs a sock in her mouth, but that's Rachel. That's not the character she's playing saying those things. As far as the dwarves, thank Peter Dinklage for that monstrosity. I heard or read they originally hired real life people for those roles, but then he said something about it being backwards because the dwarves lived in cave. (Which they didn't. They WORKED in a mine that was in a cave but lived in a cottage.) But Disney decided to fire them anyway because of one cry baby, so they decided to go with magical creatures. But then they switched back to the dwarves. However they decided to make them CGI which I don't understand why they just didn't decide to go back to the dwarves. (Well maybe because the people they hired were extremely offended and told them to shove it)

I’m torn on this. On the one hand, it seems like a slightly altered version of Snow White and the Huntsman and the CGI is glaringly horrible. On the other hand, these are super pretty shots and I love who they cast as the evil queen! Digging the crown!

Disney's "live action" Snow White is not looking good. The CGI looks like it's from 20 years ago, and they changed the whole story for a "modern audience" that doesn't exist.
Bentkey's adaptation is of the original story, keeping the original aesthetics, themes, and archetypes.

Your comment shows no comprehension of historical context, as you superimpose modern sensibilities onto stories written in a different time. Snow White and the prince were at the ages when they'd have been getting married back when the story was written, and them getting married doesn't mean they married as soon as she was awoken from the slumber.
And an age gap that's creepy by modern standards doesn't make him a "stalker". A stalker is someone who stalks someone else. The Prince was going about his life, met a pretty girl, and then later found her in a cursed sleep from which he freed her.
Zegler looks nothing like Snow White, and is of middling looks and talent.

"her beauty grows from deep within"- Disney straight up admitting Rachel Zegler is not attractive 😅 I feel like the plot to this movie makes no sense if the queen isn't jealous of her physical beauty. Like why would the queen give a shit if Snow White is morally a better person than her? The songs sound good though, that's the only positive - but the costumes, CGI, production design, literally everything else, looks bleh.

Meh, I dunno', I mean like no offense to you or Walt, but as much as I don't care about this remake or what Rachel's been nagging about? I always found that movie along with the rest of the Princess movies pretty boring compared to the classics I liked such as Winnie the Pooh and The Lion King lol.
