I’m excited to try out the Adidas SL 2 for my next daily trainer. I’ve been using the Adios 8 as my daily trainer, but v9 looks like it’s becoming more of a true 5K-10K racer with only 20mm heel stack, basically looks like the Pro Evo 1 with half the stack. Thank you for your content and answering as many of our questions as you can. Very much appreciated.
Awesome video! Channel is climbing my running watch list more and more. Similarity of shoe taste is on point, broski. Those Mizuno’s look freakin awesome. Can not wait for the SL2!
Its fantastic to see Mizuno finally modernizing their deigns across their lineup. Looks like the tech and design language of the Wave rebellion Pro is trickling down to their whole line up. Thats a smart move imho as the Wave Rebellion Pro was the first truly exciting Mizuno shoe in years and generally got rave reviews for its design and performance. I think you are very right that 2024 could be the year Mizuno starts to make a genuine come back like their compatriots Asics started to several years ago.
bro, love the channel. just some feed back, would be bit better if the volume is the same for the whole video instead of quiet loud quiet loud, it's not so great for earphone users
Living in Austin area, I was able to attend to events (outside of TRE) and got a chance to run in Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 2 (WRP2) and got my feet in Wave Rebellion Flash 2 (WRF2). I really liked the feel of WRP2 (except for the slight heel slip). I think it is an improved ride over WRP1 and great energy return reminiscent of Alphafly 1 (but more for midfoot landing). I really liked that they got rid of medial side cutout in version 2. I also saw the mystery shoe too. Samples were held behind a Mizuno panel (probably for influencers) but not very well hidden from view. I also ran in Adidas Supernova Rise. I got to that event in my 2017 Supernova "Boost" (successor to Supernova Glide 8) which I ran my first marathon. Personally, I am a bit disappointed with the energy return I got from them. They are heavier than I prefer, and I was really hoping that I would get a similar feeling to Endorphin Speed 1/2 or even 3. Perhaps the shoe needs some breaking in. The shoe looks cool in that Black and Green colorway. Later I might just get a pair in discount just as a causal wear or gym use with some treadmill running in addition to other gym work.
nice thanks for the insight! i'm excited about the wave pro 2 so glad to hear you liked it. a bit disappointing that the supernova rise wasn't great but sometimes it's hard for a daily trainer to feel impressive out of the box
Hey! Love your channel and helpful content. Just wondering if you like/recommend the running stroller that you mention using with your son. I’m a new dad and would love to do similar easy miles
thanks calvin! i am currently using the BOB revolution flex double stroller. we had their single stroller before as well and it was great - i think this is the current version of it www.target.com/p/bob-gear-revolution-flex-3-0-jogging-stroller-graphite-black/-/A-75568320 we got ours used on facebook marketplace and saved a ton vs buying new so would suggest seeing what you can find in your area. any of the bob jogging strollers will be great
Thanks for this run-through of new shoes at TRE. Did you see INOV-8 at the show? I believe they're having a re-brand with a host of new product - including some more foot-shape shoes. Keep up the good work and looking forward to Part 2.
Thanks for watching! And It was under a sign calling it the Supernova Workhorse and the rep also called it that name (you can see the sign in the part where I zoomed in). I did see a different video on RUclips with it called the Supernova Prima so it's possible they're giving it different names in different markets. I could have also picked up the wrong shoe but there's definitely a new adidas called supernova workhorse
amazing thanks for the insight. tbh i didn't love the sc trainer v1 and actually sent it back. the main issue for me is that it felt clunky/bottom heavy. this one should be around 8.5 ounces according to the rep so hopefully it doesn't have the same issue
they were there! i went in alphabetical order so their highlights are here in part 2 along with other big brands letters n to z like new balance, nike: ruclips.net/video/CX9sPSbo6eg/видео.html&lc=UgzsTkBv-rZheCKIiAB4AaABAg also my full saucony preview is coming tonight!
I asked about the vanish tempo 2 and they wouldn't give me any info on it. They were focused on highlighting the vanish carbon 2, their new plates trail racer and their new line of 4mm drop shoes - so it's possible they're saving the tempo update for next year to give it more shine on its own
Yes Hyperion Elite 4 was there and looks awesome as well! I'm going to post the full interview I did with Nikhil their product designer where we dove into all the Hyperion shoes - likely posting this weekend
Adidas just released new colours on the SL, Boston 12, and Adios Pro 3 so I'd be surprised if we saw the SL2 this month. I'm anticipating a mid-late Feb release for that shoe and given we've seen so little coverage hinting at the new model and so many secrets about the future AP4 likely releasing before the Olympic qualifying and Paris Olympics.
Summer 2024! I believe it's June but will confirm. Going to post a full Hyperion lineup review with Nikhil their product director soon and it'll have all the info
i'm going to try the supernova rise soon and will have to grab the SL2 as well as soon as it's available! right now i'm more excited about SL2 but we'll see once we run in them
@@supwell I told Adidas guys in the event is that what they should do is start with Takumi Sen 8 and full length Lightstrike Pro foam and slap a better and durable outsole like in Adios 8. I personally think their daily trainer options are still not very competitive. Having tried Supernova Rise, I would pick PUMA Deviate Nitro 2 over them.
Design wise it looks pretty similar but I'm excited to see how the move from glass fiber to carbon fiber energy rods changes the ride. It could potentially feel pretty different - we'll have to wait and see
The rubber in the heel area in TS8/9 is wearing out fast unless you have a perfect forefoot strike. I think the extension of that grippy climbing shoe like rubber all the way to the heel might provide more durability in addition to improved grip. It is a thinner rubber, but it proved pretty durable in Adios Pro 3. I have 3 pairs of TS8 purchased for $75 so I don't mind low durability at that price. The performance for speed workouts is great and I also got my 5k PR in them.
So far from all channels you have the best TRE coverage and content . 👌🏼
putting believe in the run to shame
Just showing appreciation for making an amazing effort to cover the upcoming shoes !
Thank you!
Appreciate all the effort you put into your channel! Great content and love seeing what's coming out next! And thank you Charlie! You're a trooper!

Thank you! I'm pumped about the SL2 as well - that and the Ride 17 were the most exciting daily trainers I saw there

Love seeing these previews! The sound quality needs an adjustment though.
Yep, you gotta level out your sound 🙉. Great content and info! Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. Posting Part 2 later today and it will have better audio

Thank you! I'm going to improve the audio for part 2 which is posting later today
I like the Hyperion Max, I might have to get those once they release.
Great video, very glad I found your channel. My bank account isn’t going to like all these shoes coming out tho
Hahah thank you!
Thank you for the information of the release date for Adidas SL2. Can’t wait for late dec/early jan of 2024 😊
Thanks
thank you!

Oh you’re amazing! Thanks man. Eager to rack up those miles. Keep up the great work
Great coverage of the event, earned yourself a sub!
Thank you!
Awesome, thank you! Looking forward to part two, shout-out to Charli, what a trooper

Inov-8 is owned by Descente now.
Thank you! I didn't see Inov-8 there - there were 300+ brands though so I may have missed them in the exhibit hall
11:33 looking forward to this Skyflow
Adidas Adizero SL2 , no one else has talked about that one, very interesting
Did you talk to the brooks rep about the glycerin 21?
i did see the shoe but we didn't talk much about it unfortunately
Yeah man! Awesome coverage!!!
thank you!
The one from Adidas you named supernova workhorse is that not the supernova Prima..?
Thanks for watching! And It was under a sign calling it the Supernova Workhorse and the rep also called it that name (you can see the sign in the part where I zoomed in). Volume control issues!
The new Mizuno shoe felt like the supercomputer trainer v1 to me. Very soft under the foot. I only got to jog in it for maybe half a mile though.
amazing thanks for the insight. tbh i didn't love the sc trainer v1 and actually sent it back. the main issue for me is that it felt clunky/bottom heavy. this one should be around 8.5 ounces according to the rep so hopefully it doesn't have the same issue

Was Saucony not at TRE? or all new shoes under embargo?

You could use a lav mic to improve sound quality in noisy enviroments
Do you know if Altra will have a vanish tempo 2 or just a vanish carbon 2? I don’t think I need a top tier plated shoe. The specter 2 looks tempting.
I asked about the vanish tempo 2 and they wouldn't give me any info on it. They were focused on highlighting the vanish carbon 2, their new plates trail racer and their new line of 4mm drop shoes - so it's possible they're saving the tempo update for next year to give it more shine on its own
Im loving the design of that "mystery" Muzuno shoe. As well as the zebra patterns on it. I would buy that just for the looks 😮
I currently use the Hyperion Max for my speed sessions and race day. Version 2 looks interesting! Did you also get your eyes on the Hyperion Elite 4?
Yes Hyperion Elite 4 was there and looks awesome as well! I'm going to post the full interview I did with Nikhil their product designer where we dove into all the Hyperion shoes - likely posting this weekend

Hoka running shoes bondi8 model price?
Is there a release date for the Hyperion Max 2? :-)
Summer 2024! I believe it's June but will confirm. Going to post a full Hyperion lineup review with Nikhil their product director soon and it'll have all the info
Sweet!! I'll keep my eyes out. Great coverage and wrap up from TRE @@supwell
Adidas supernova rise or SL2 for daily trainer? Both shoes look promising
i'm going to try the supernova rise soon and will have to grab the SL2 as well as soon as it's available! right now i'm more excited about SL2 but we'll see once we run in them

where is part 2?

i can't find part 2

HM2 has a plate?
Yes plastic plate!
Oh no , what did they do to the hyperion max lateral mid (double shark fin)and that awful print on the side !?
Adidas - Did you get an availability date on the Adizero SL?
2K Subs!
Woohooo! Thank you for all the support 🙏🏽
Hey! I saw u & the Mrs! I was wearing the BlackMenRun shirt. Dude u need to be shot work yo wife that hard all day😆 great content‼️
hahaha thanks for the support. i remember seeing you there as well - hope you enjoyed the event!
stand up if you love the shoes
Ahhh yes, Adizero SL with Lightstrike 2.0. 😇
bruh how tall are you? like 6'5?
Hahaha only 6' 2" but I guess the running industry makes me look taller
Wife is the real mvp
100%
I hate when adidas do minimal changes and still call it a 10 instead of a Sen 9+

Almost can't understand a thing the Adidas Rep. is saying, unfortunately.
Which is to say, you CAN understand him, fortunately.
@@MrTantriq I guess English isn't your strong suit, boy.
