Last story: Karen isn’t the problem, the managers are. When managers allow this behavior to continue, it disrespects everyone.
Losses to the company need to be deducted from those managers' paychecks.
I was gonna comment the same. People do what they can get away with. I don’t understand why management will let nightmare customers have their way and torment the employees. Ridiculous.

Last story, just tell her no, go ahead and call the DM. If she's bluffing she's toast. If the DM does have her back, go to the step beyond, head office or whatever, and let them know DM is complicit in fraud.
Last story: If this customer ever bought alcohol, virtually every state requires ID for over 21, and leaves the option open for the store to ask for it from those OVER 21. If she buys alcohol, CARD HER, and record her name... now you have her name so you can ban her, and trespass her if she shows up again.
Abused chicks story: Good grief! What an incredibly cruel way to get revenge over being fired for what she had actually done. At least she wasn't aware of the new security cameras. Thank goodness the store had gotten them or this could have gone very differently. OP, update us on her charges and sentence if you learn of them please.
Karen knows DM story: Given that Karen had a pretty set routine, I'd have tried to get DM to be at one of the stores to personally ban her.
I worked in Loss Prevention 30 years ago before I was a law enforcement officer and I had a shoplifter pull a gun and try to shoot me over a 14 dollar hat. I disarmed him and arrested him but when I went into a office to calm down after almost dying my partner let him get away wearing handcuffs. We recaptured him quickly.
What in blue blazes was your partner's alibi for letting the person go?
I was riding my bike around my apartment complex one night and there were two police cruisers next to the main office. When I happen to be there I didn't go in close enough but I could hear this one thing. That one of the officers was looking at the suspect that was sitting on the curb and said" Dan not you again!"
I laugh my butt off at that.
Last story: This is a good example of why you should never reward bad customers. They will keep returning and their behavior will get worse. Businesses that think they are providing excellent customer service by allowing this. News flash: You aren’t. You are driving away other “good” customers by sucking up to these leeches.
i would have refused service making her cause a scene. idc if i'd get fired someone like that needs to be banned.
Last story: I witnessed this in a small shop in a tourist town I was vacationing on.
Karen: You don't know what you're talking about! I demand a discount. I know the owner.
Cashier: So do I. What's his name?
Karen: (wrong name)
Cashier: Nope. That's the former owner. He sold it a couple of years ago. Try again.
Karen: RANT RANT RANT
Cashier: Okay, I've had enough. You are now banned for life *takes out phone and photos her
Karen: You can't do that. I'll complain to the new owner. He'll never ban me. I'll have you fired.
Cashier: DAD!!!!!!!
Dad (comes up from the back): What's up, pumpkin?
Cashier: You see this woman. Ban her for life.
Dad: Done. Karen? You're banned for life.
Karen: What?
Dad: I'm the owner of this store, this is my daughter, and you're banned. Get out. NOW!
Karen: I'll never return!
Dad: That's the point.
When she waddled out, I started bursting out in laughter! She turned around, about to say something to me before the owner screamed, 'OUT!' from the counter. I congratulated the cashier on how calm she was, and how epic the whole thing was to witness.
The chick story reminds me of my town's local North 40 ranch and supply store. You're not allowed to have family members check you out because of theft in the past. Somebody was caught stealing a bunch of stuff there. But we don't have that kind of a setup anymore they put them in cages that require a lock because of this kind of stuff happening as well as people's kids touching them.
LOL Reading this quickly, I think you mean they put the family members in cages.....and kids reaching through the bars to touch them, like zoo animals.
So, she she decided to get back at them by harming most of the baby chicks...so sad....

As a volunteer EMT om a rural area we got called out to a remote location by Highway Patrol. It was 10:00 P.M. and he had pulled her over for erratic driving, she had immediately jump out of her car and ran into the woods where he gave chase. As soon as he caught up to her she reached into a bag, pulled out a handful of pills and started swallowing them. He had her in the back seat of his car standing only 4 feet away with the door open giving us a report when she darted out the door running down the road in handcuffs she tried to cross a ditch but fell face down in the ditch. We got her and carried her to the hospital with cuffs on because she was a danger to herself and a flight risk. After handing her over to the ER staff we returned home. Later we were told that they had turned their backs on her for a few seconds and she was gone! A little later security found her... face down in a ditch outside the hospital. Turns out she was on parole from a mental facility and they sent her right back.
I have a friend who worked customer service. One male Karen used the famous line « Do you know who I know??? » Without missing a beat she replied « No, but do you know who I blow??? » Needless to say he paid his bill. 🤣
I think it would be against the law or at least policy if anybody was to use the relationship status for personal gain in any business whatsoever. Cuz that just shows a sign of nepotism, favoritism and lack of trust.
I know the DM Karen having worked retail before "My best answer is GO For it being fired would be the highlight of my days many days, especially during Christmas season."
Omg the Karen in the store that always threatened y’all with the district manager, just ban that psycho. She’s nothin but a problem and will eventually make the company lose employees, not to mention she’s scamming y’all. Her threats alone need to get her banned.

The store needs to install hinged, locking frames with wire mesh over the chicken troughs so people can still see the chicks in the troughs but can't reach in without unlocking and lifting the lid...
Tractor Supply, has a mesh wire cage around all the trough chicks, and ducks. Only 1 store employee can get in.

Last story: all one needs is a PHOTO of the lady . . .pinned on a big poster board with BANNED on it . . .when she shows up . .. escort her out.

The last one, surely it’s easy to get her name, when she’s being a pain, call the cops, cops will always need to see ID, then trespass her from the store and pass details on to corporate

You're right, it is pretty amazing, 500 yards in 5 to 7 seconds, world & universal record, in handcuffs.
I was driving back to work after getting lunch, listening to music in my car with the windows open. I pulled up to a stop light and was just jamming to my tunes when i hear someone screaming at me. I looked over to see a cop, red faced, veins popping screaming at the top of his lungs to turn my music down. I turned it down immediately, and he stood in the intersection, bereting me that if he could hear the music outside of the car he could ticket me and how awful and disrespectful I was. I looked over hia shoulder where his partner was cuffing someone, and the suspect knocked him out by breaking his hand free and jacking this cop's partner in the chin with the handcuff like a nunchuk. The perp ran off down the street, and i just pointed. Cop quit screaming at me long enough to glance over his shoulder and ran to check on his partner. Light changed and I cranked my music to road sign rattling levels and drove off. Lol. Fucking cops. Maybe help your partner instead of threatening a kid.
Umm....the world record 100yd dash is around 9 seconds, here a cop and a security guard run 500 hundred yards in 5-7 secs? Pretty fast!
We’d have people occasionally say that they knew the company’s founder. As in they knew him at one time-- he died in ‘71. Most were just telling me this as a point of interest, a few said it to prove a point & be “mean”. I always wanted to reply to the latter group, “& I met Ronald McDonald. What’s your point?”

Last story: probably someone with more money than sense. I've run across people in restaurants ho pull stuff like that complain about the food in order to get it comped, so that they don't have to pay. Mind you, they're at the place in a high-end car, driving to one of their multiple homes.

The Last Story I would have had all the managers fired if I was a district manager I would have been like so you've been entering food-waste losses you've been giving back money to this woman who's basically been scamming you and you just haven't done anything because you don't feel like dealing with her or making a phone call to me? Golden Rose / Brooklyn is my sister she's an entitled brat she does not act like family recently she was angry about something started venting it took multiple attempts to tell her to stop and she always has an attitude unless she's gaining fat rolls on a video game
