I hit 2 Roo's with my Rodeo /ARB bullbar.. (Looped) and haven't done any panel damage to the vehicle at all. They are there for a reason. BUT the loopless does look good.
@@T.A.G Yeah it was looked at when i got back home from the trips. Still in good nick.. But the loops just add more protection. More often than not you won't have panel damage with the loops, but you may loose a spotlight or two.. lol.. i did..
@@scotty311 yeah they stop small impacts for sure. I've seen good bend top loops back into headlights and panels. But that being said every strike is different and everything is circumstantial. Old man's car copped dents the whole way down the side as skippy flipped round after tapping the corner of the bar
I have a late 2019 Exceed, With the looped bar, you loose the ability to use the front camera (the bar blocks most of it.. and PIAK refuse to try and build a relocation kit unlike iron man
@@T.A.G Yeah the 2020 model fixes the issue, however they advertised the previous version as exceed compatible.. However multiple complaints from multiple people they fail to come up with a camera relocation kit.. I could go to QCAT and demand compensation, or free upgrade due to it not being fit for purpose, but I really don't want to drag the 4x4 shop that installed it through the mud as they have been great throughout my build.. My beef is with PIAK directly...
@iTopCati hi, can you please clarify. Is it the 2020+ model piak elite looped bar that was fixed to fit the exceed (Eg PS QE) or only the the PS QF and Piak elite looped work?
Nice kit. Got my eye on one for my '18 PS here in NZ. Other than the inner guards, did you have to cut anything to fit it? I've seen an ARB bar install on the PS and it had to cut through the existing bumper. Not so keen on that! Keep up the good vids. Cheers.
Hi MattDunlop81. I'm in NZ as well and looking to get this bar for my 2016 pajero sport VRX. Do you know anyone who imports them or were you going to bring one in yourself from Oz or Thailand? If you live in Auckland and want some help fitting it let me know.
did you have to upgrade your suspension?
Thanks mate. Just ordered one for my new PS coming next month. Cheers.
How does it fit

be sure to also inspect the chassis, some bars will have crumple zones, i know my old ARB did :)

Can't say I'm aware of the issues as I don't have the exceed, I'm sure the piak is advertised as exceed friendly so it should be able to work somehow

Cheers mate. Nah it's a full bumper replacement which I prefer by a long shot

Do you know if you can get recovery points for them?
For the piak bar, yes I have them installed. Also have a video of it on the channel :)
