Must admit that I've been too lazy to automate Halftime's parameters but seeing it in action in that "Fill Maker" section, I should definitely try that too!
Lowkey havent been using half time much, defrs gotten lost in my plugins but this defs makes me wanna bust it out more and gives great ideas oon hwo to use it to manipulate sounds and add dyanmics, not just "insta vibe" plugin
Yes, TimeShaper can do half-time, and a LOT more - drawable scratching, stutters, tape stops, etc. But HalfTime is a faster, simplified way to get half-speed effects, and features a Smooth control which is not in TimeShaper.
@@Cableguys DEfinitively, I see what you mean. That smooth controll Sustain, transients and FX is very cool indeed, a superb reason to use it in paralell tracks along with the ShaperBox 2, so I will do. 👍
Cool ! Using the shaperbox ON and Off automation in logic I get sometimes imprecision and artifact during the ON and Off automation. Can you recommend a better way to do the on and off transitions? Many thanks 🙏🏻
@@Cableguys sorry my bad. Half time 4 you can click one button and it's on, but in shaperbox it's a bit different as it has the line that you edit with steps or curves.
@@MrDisrupta Ah right! From the main Shaper screen, click the small "Half Time" Quick Preset button on TimeShaper to instantly set it up with the half-speed effect. Then you can switch the whole effect on/off by automating the orange bypass button in the upper-left of the interface (next to the ShaperBox 3 logo).
@@Cableguys wow. That comes across as a smart ass remark. No - exactly NOT when halving the speed. Just inserting it in the chain. When I get this kind of response from a developer I’ve paid money to, it really doesn’t make me want to use or recommend their products.
@@embersandash We’re here to help, but we don’t understand what you mean - sorry for any confusion! You mention “just inserting” HalfTime changes the frequency response, and that’s what we expect, because HalfTime’s half-speed effect is already on by default. Or do you mean when the plugin is bypassed, or Mix is at 0%? If you are experiencing some other issue, we are happy to offer technical support 👍
@@Cableguys What I mean is that, simply placing the plugin after the source changes the frequency balance of the sound. Without engaging the power button. So, no halftime effect engaged.
@@embersandash Right! We are not able to reproduce this - with Power Off or Mix at 0%, we get identical output to the input (ie, nulling to digital silence), which is as intended. Could you please mail us on contact@cableguys.com and our tech support will help figure out what's happening? Perhaps you have an example you can send us.

Yes, it's great for experimenting! Let us know how you get on 👍
I ve done it once it fun when you re experementing
Not gunna lie, never thought about using Halftime for anything other than half timing something… Definitely some really cool stuff you can do with it!
Yeah, give it a try!
That track for parallel thickening... yea I'm about to flip that joint! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Enjoy! ⏰👍
thanks for the info and inspiration!
You're welcome!
Very sick dawgs
Watched for the tips, stayed for the melodies 🔥🔥🔥

Thanks for showing new tricks also i LOVE the synths melody on filter trick 5*
Excellent video. Thanks
Ima get this plugin next and do that. I like doing crazy things like this on my production.
Damn that was crazy inspiring. Head blown clean off. Thanks!

Glad we've inspired you. Have fun!
I still like this plugin very much, bur I haven't used it since ShaperBox's TIME. It's good to remember it.
(they are practically the same, right?)

this is the best tool for when my sound design mud pies get to be too much.
cool ideas!
Damn...I knew NONE of this. Good ish

3:07 i wanna hear this forever lol
How do you get shaperbox version to just be like that 1 switch half time mode?
Sorry, not sure what you are asking - can you phrase the question differently?

Halftime always changes the frequency spectrum of the source.
Yes, like halving the speed of any audio does 👍
