    I’m this video I’ll show you how to knit these super cozy slippers from beginning to end. We’ll cover how to create a heel, seaming the slipper together, creating a crochet edge and how to attach an optional leather sole!
    Because these slippers are knit in chunky yarn, they knit up really quickly. They're perfect for gifting this holiday season!
    These slippers are suitable for adventurous beginner knitters who are comfortable casting on and knitting.
    The slippers come in three sizes: child, adult small and adult large.
    Please note: The price of the PDF pattern will fluctuate with time to keep up with inflation and the average price of a cup of coffee.

    Hi, thanks for pattern and video. I'm only a very basic knitter but with your clear instructions I am going to give these a go. They look very cosy. In Australia our wool is in ply. From the info online it looks like super chunky yarn is equivalent to 14 ply. The only 14 ply available where I live is 150gram ball. It is fairly expensive. Do you think one 150g ball would be enough for a women's pair of slippers? Thanks for your advice, Judy

    • @user-bg1rh3jf1j
      @user-bg1rh3jf1j 3 месяца назад

      Just wanted to add that there are several options available here for 12 ply yarn which from googling is equivalent to chunky yarn in US, but I guess this would throw the size off if I used the slightly smaller yarn option? 😊

    I so enjoyed this tutorial and the DARLING slippers. I made these slippers out of Lion Brand Wool Ease and are so cute! However, they have gotten holes in them after wearing for only a couple of months! Can anyone suggest another yarn that would withstand the wear and tear of slippers? I'm so bummed as the slippers are so cute. I don't mind paying more money for a better quality yarn! I hope someone can help me.

      You can consider sewing a leather or suede sole to the bottom of the slipper. This would also help to make them non-slip

    I’m new to knitting and followed all the directions correctly in this video for a child size and used the same yarn, but it turned out REALLY bulky and awkward looking. Like they seemed way too tall and way too round, it really didn’t look like the shape of a foot at all lol. Does anyone know what might have gone wrong for me?

    Is there an alternative to a crochet boarder? Is there a way to do it by knitting instead?

    • @sheepandstitch

      You can always leave the slipper border-less if you like. Another knitted option is to do an i-cord around the foot opening

    just confirming, 10mm yarn with 6mm needles? To make the stitches closer?

    • @sheepandstitch
      @sheepandstitch  2 года назад +1

      Yup! We want a denser fabric so that’s why 6mm needles are used

      Speaking of gauge , i have super chunky yarn but i need 9 mm needles in order to have gauge as your pattern call, 11 sts / 4 inch. If I used 6 mm needles I end up with 14 sts / inch. Is it better to use 9 mm needles to get the same gauge?

    • @sheepandstitch
      @sheepandstitch  2 года назад +1

      Hmm if you’re knitting into the back once you’ll have two stitches (one stitch is added). Count your stitches before making the kfb to make sure you’re only adding one stitch after the kfb

    Is the crochet step necessary? I know it makes the finished product look better, but I keep messing up on that step. I'm hoping to just gift the unfinished slippers to my family but I don't want it to unravel on them because I skipped the crochet step.

    • @sheepandstitch
      @sheepandstitch  2 года назад +1

      The crochet edge is not necessary at all. The slipper won’t unravel without them.
