Alastors speech on smiles makes me think he does care about Charlie. Like a farmer who accidentally gave a name to the cow he's raising for slaughter.

That's the thing about him, he keeps his true motivations so close to his chest you NEVER can know if he's helping because he wants to or he's helping because he wants to maneuver someone.
Or if he's aiming for something entirely different! It's very unnerving. I love Alastor.
I think that is what makes Alastor interesting. He seems to genuinely enjoy and care for the Hazbin Hotel, but he won't ever put them above his own self-interests. We don't know what those are beyond being out from under whoever holds his leash, which keeps us guessing and makes him unpredictable and thus makes him more of a threat.

Lute cut out and stabbed Vaggie's eye with her angelic balde, but she ripped her wings off with her bare hands. I'm pretty sure that's why Vaggie's wings could grow back, but the eye stays gone. I wonder if the same might also be the case for her halo, since Adam also ripped that away with his hands.

Rosie was at the Overlord meeting. She was also in the pilot crossing out a name off of a sign after the extermination. I recently watched it again and all of the Overlords with speaking lines where in the pilot.
Actually all the Overlords we met at the meeting were in the pilot, the guy who doesn't speak in the meeting (flaming skull) was next to Alastor watching Charlie on the news in the pilot.

If you remember I think back in episode 3, Rosie was in the overlord meeting and smiled at Frank. Also, I think everyone could use a cannibal therapist like Rosie.
I only noticed it last week, but if you look at what Susan is wearing, it’s the same outfit Alastor put Vaggie in during the third song of the pilot

The heel-toe tap dancing from Charlie is even more impressive when you remember, she has Hooves and therefore no heels.

But the first time I watched, I swear he said, "Give me, 1 favour-at-a-time, of my choosing."
5:27 notice how Angel & Pen have an expression of shock and confusion on their faces, while Husk's facial expression is a mix of fear & concern. He knew from personal experience what was happening. Not only is he absolutely terrified, he's also concerned about Charlie.

Since you've already checked out a few fanmade HH songs, I HIGHLY suggest you give Smile Like You Mean It by Paranoid DJ a listen (for context, he's also the guy who originally made Just Look My Way). I've heard a good number of sings for Alastor at this point, at that one is definitely my favorite.
Ya know what confuses me, Rosie and Alastor were both at that overlords meeting and yet Rosie says she hasn't seen him in ages. Though I suppose she meant showing up around Cannibal Town.

I love that Rosie is based off of Dolly from the musical Hello, Dolly. She even gives Charlie relationship advice and gives cards out to people she knows she can help. I really hope they do turn this show into a Broadway musical. I've never been, but I'd definitely go to see that.

He may actually be straight but still A-sexual. It's possible to want to have a partner but still not want sex.

to be fair he died in 1933 and during that time asexual wasn't considered a thing. the closet he would be considered 'sexually dysfunctional' as that is what they all thought it was. Vivz says he is aro-ace but he doesn't know what that is nor understands it.

"Guide?" That is why I think Alastor did not go for a deal on her soul, at least one of the possible reasons, I can think of four and they are not mutually exclusive.
Also I don't think anyone's ever tried to make a deal for a soul that wasn't of a sinner, and definitely not for the soul of Lucifer's daughter. That'd probably ring all kinds of bells, and encourage Lucifer to find a way to either unmake the deal or just smoke Alastor off his boots before he could even think to destroy Charlie. Not a risk Alastor could take, so it's safer to have a favor and use it to have her lie to Lucifer at a crucial moment, for example.
I'm torn between it either being that Alastor requests her to sit out of a crucial battle, or asks her to use her sovereignty to cut him out of his deal/fight his master to free him

What really sucks about the deal is the information angels can be killed was right downstairs. The most Alastor contributes in the situation is his connection to Rosie for numbers.

I love the women supporting women that we see here. Alastor may have something up his sleeve, but thanks to him Vaggie found a mentor and Charlie found a maternal figure that she can rely on. ❤

So those stitches you can see on alastors face during the deal are there to prevent him from ripping his own face apart when he smiles and thats a terrefying concept
The phrasing of Alastor's deal always rattles in my thoughts for this show cause of how he puts it: Charlie does 1 thing that harms no one.
Who's to say She has to finish that job?
Harm probably means DIRECT harm, like what SHE does won't hurt anyone.
For example let's say she opens the super secure fortress door.
A harmless action, it's just opening a door.
The fact Alastor then leads an army of ravenous demons in to slaughter everyone present? Nothing to do with Charlie, SHE harmed no one.
Deals with devils are VERY specific to every last word. Charlie is certainly going to pay quite the price when Alastor comes to collect.
Alastor says, "Give me one favour, at a time of my choosing, where you hurt no one."
But the first time I watched, I swear he said, "Give me, 1 favour-at-a-time, of my choosing where you hurt no one."
As in, he gets all of the favours, but 1 at a time.
I'm both shocked and kind of impressed they didn't give Susan the name Karen. It could have been so easy to call her that, but either it didn't cross their mind or they knew that would be too obvious.
Well, Adam called Charlie "Karen" in the previous episode, so I think it was a concious decession on Vivienne's side to call her Susan.

I wasn't here early enough to say this in a earlier video, but he'll is based off of a circus. Each ring is a different act. Lucifer is the ringmaster, Mammon is the clowns, Beelzebub is the beastmaster, etc. I love the little allusions to this with the background details.

I love how in ep.3 Carmilla's shoes are a "chekhov's gun" object that comes off the wall in this ep. Next episode is my favorite in the season with some of the best moments for each main character.
Two little things I love about this episode... Alastor leg kicks on the bed... and the fact Charlie got that trinket for Vaggie while still mad, before she talked (or met) Rosie.
The weird part is Rosie is one of three beings in the show too know the real Alastor and so have permission too touch him

"Come join the flesh buffet!!" I now hum this part in my head when going out to dinner with Dad. I can't wait for episode 8!!! This is going to be epic!! Yeah we got a 1 to 2 year wait for next season. They are hard at work and the voice actors have been on twitter and such interacting with fans. So between the fandom interacting with VA's, fanart galore, and those of us who wait for next Helluva Boss, we are struggling but are waiting patiently for next season. I have waited since the pilot dropped 4+ years prior for season 1, I can wait for season 2.

That "favor" may not hurt anyone directly, but the exceedingly vague wording is going to result in a lot of collateral pain and misery. I can see it having a domino effect: the favor itself is actually harmless or seemingly so, but its effects get worse and worse.

The Exorcists seem to just leave their spears everywhere after an extermination. We see a bunch of them sticking in buildings or demons. At the start of the pilot, we see Camille's daughters collecting them. They are then melted down and made into other weapons.

I really wanna believe that Alastor has some genuine concern for Charlie. Despite being such an ambiguous and somewhat antagonistic character, I don't want Alastor's bond with Charlie to be destroyed and want Alastor to have a happy ending of his own. Maybe this impossible and I'm asking for too much but this how I feel. Anyone else?
A. Kyle likely gets accused of re-watch because of the harsh contrast between his reactions vs. Kirby's reactions. It seems like Kyle is always trying to make connections while watching (same) so he guesses what is coming next. While Kirby just relaxes and remains focused on the present.
B. There is no way Kyle didn't pre-watch the first few reaction episodes of Hazbin Hotel by other RUclipsrs to figure out how to avoid demonetization.
C. You both are very fun to watch reaction! Started watching some other videos with you both and love it. Keep up the great work!
The sad part is carmine killing h angel is what triggered he sped up extermination day. Charlie trying to save souls is innocent to this fact but the blame is laid on charlies feet
So you ask why Carmilla and her daughters were out during the extermination.
Well angelic weapons are quite valuable as they are the only thing that can truly kill demons (and angels), otherwise they re-manifest. So if she waited for the extermination to end she might end up having competition. It's a risk but one she is has been willing to take.

Once angels and demons learn about this mutual weakness to holy weapons, both sides will further refine their fighting styles and waste fewer resources with each Extermination Day. The demons and sinners can only last as long as their angelic steel stockpiles and angels are unfamiliar with genuine danger to their lives.
