"why did it take him an hour to get there if he can teleport?!"
Lucifer has been a depressed shut-in for thousands of years, he probably needs at least an hour to get his shit together
Either that or he teleported right away but needed an hour to mentally prepare himself while standing there. lol
My head Canon is that he wanted to give her time to set up/clean up her hotel to in a weird way be polite and not just teleporting there and actually using the front door.
I agree with the replies here it was likely a mix of giving her time to prep and him mentally preparing to see her again
He also definitely would had needed a shower.
I think it's kind of like how stolas said something like "I'll be there in 20" only to then teleport to the club blitz was at 20 minutes later
“He’s trying to replace Alastor?”
No, Alastor is trying to replace him
It's a little funny, you could almost call him daaaaad
@@VegetaLF7I’m so surprised Angel did catch that and say something like “I’ll call you daddy” such a missed moment but the drinks and popcorn sharing as they watched the drama made up for it.
I mean, technically Alastor is the one that was there, not Lucifer, so yeah, he's trying to replace Alastor.
Well Alastor actually has been there. And Alastor has issues with deadbeat dads because his dad bailed on him when he was a baby. So to him he feels Lucifer is the intruder.. and hes right xD
To explain why Lucifer wasn't initially willing to help Charlie was not only to protect her, but because he didn't believe Sinners could change. The whole reason he and Lilith were sent to hell in the first place was because of their act of giving Eve the fruit of knowledge and granting free will to humanity. Since he's confined to hell, he can never see any of the good that came with his decision, only the cruel and wicked acts of the sinners. That was likely one of the main sources of his depression and his falling out with Lilith, combined with his previously strained relationship with Charlie no doubt made him even more depressed.
Lucifer should can travel to human world, is nonsense he cant but other demons like stolas can do
I also suspect some Real parental alienation on Liliths end given how that memory played out
Well, but Charlie has always been confined to hell, have only lived a 200 years, and still was able to see the good in people, the ability to change.
@@richardkutsera4992 yeah but again Lucifer is a shut in. My running theory on that is that Charlie sees the good in people because she gets to know them and sees the good hidden under the bad. Lucifer just never took a deeper look into the sinners. Being the king of hell doesn’t make it better, being that much above ppl makes it hard to be close to them
@@jaredbradwell5226 Yeah... btw since you seem to know a lot I have another question regarding the lore of this setting. When an exocrist kills someone, their essence goes into the scenery and so there are eyes in the walls and all that... are those lifeless eyes of lifeless essence, or is there consciousness behind them, just stuck in the wall?
I love how they both _ruined_ Lucifer, and made him _perfect._
Mans is _broken._ Straightup defeated- and it _WORKS._
Making the Lord of Hell a short king with depression, dad vibes, and a rubber duck obsession was utterly *inspired.*

Duck: "It's almost like he's a singer and actor."
See, it's funny you say that. Because all of the voice actors are Broadway actors, or have experience doing musicals.
Someone should tell him he played fan favorites Varian from Rapunzel the series. This is how he shined (although in morę than anything he outshined his whole rolę(
Lucifers VA was also one of the main cast members on supergirl
Or Yk the fact that he’s in the Great Gatsby musical rn as Jay Gatsby-
I think the hour" was just being polite, he was probably standing right outside the hotel the whole time.
Or spent cleaning himself up. Man was depressed in his workshop for who knows how long.
That feels so canon😭 him spiraling in front of the hotels door for an hour feels in character tbh
Lucifer: Former Seraph, Ruler of Hell, King of Ducks.
Former ARCHANGEL!
@@grantpflum6844 He's got 6 wings in the show so he's a Seraphim and highest rank of angel according to the christian hierarchy
Yup. WARNING, SPOILER ALERT! Duck, Kirby, stop reading this! Spoilers for next episode below in case you haven't gotten there yet in your advanced viewing.
So yeah, Lucifer is *technically* related to Emily and Sera from next episode, being their brother. That makes Emily and Charlie aunt and niece respectively. Charlie is 1/2 Seraphim@@israelsalgado2499
@@israelsalgado2499 According to christian lore he's a rank higher than Seraphim, he was god's right hand
@@grantpflum6844In Hazbinverse he's explicitly a Fallen Seraphim
I love the symbolism at 20:51. Lucifer’s face just says, “Okay, here we go again,” but in the next scene, when the spears are aimed at Charlie, that’s fear. He’s fine with himself being the target because, as he's the most hated being in all of creation, he’s used to it.
He also is one of the most powerful beings in all of creation outside of God. He is one of the oldest Seraphim, the highest of angels. He has literally nothing to fear from anyone in hell. No one there can touch him.
I think it's more of memory and visceral fear for Charlie
@@mycroft16 Indeed it would take serious force frim heaven or hell to touch him, but Charlie is still innocent and inexperienced especially in her fathers eyes. She could have twice as much power as him and he would still worry for her.
Indeed...
Well, Adam's first wife didn't seem to hate what he had to offer. Or the second.

@@Meriliremas any parent would. I'm 27 and my mom and grandma still bug me about eating enough and getting to sleep at a decent hour. 😂❤
Jeremy Jordan is a freaking HUGE Broadway musical actor. I think what he's most known for is Newsies.
Pretty much every voice actor in this series is a big name in musical theater, they made a serious point of that in casting this show. None of the VAs is primarily a singer who's also being asked to act for this, none of them is primarily an actor who's also being asked to sing for this either, they all work primarily in territory where the two go hand in hand and are equally essential.
and Varian in Tangled The Seriesl
@@GenAqua Yep! Seen that too and he kills it there too! Didn't know if it was as much of a thing he's known for as Newsies is? Though I know it is also fairly well-known
Came here to say this exact thing lol. Also Charlie is played by Erika Henningsen, who played Cady Heron in the original Broadway run of "Mean Girls". Her voice + Jeremy Jordan in "More Than Anything" was absolute PERFECTION!!
@@PrinceTrexus YEAH I saw her in Mean Girls back then, she was freaking amazing
I like how you can tell that when Lucifer hugs vaggie he immediately knows what she is, reaches for the halo that isn't there, you see his pained expression because he is also a fallen angel, sees her expression and her reach for her lost eye, and he immediately understands and doesn't bring it up. In like 3 seconds without a word. Something you'd probably only pick up him noticing on a repeat watch. He is incredibly awkward, but he does give a shit and he has empathy.
I am so glad they made Lucifer such a caring dad. Sure he's kind of a doofus who isn't exactly good at this, but he is legit trying and does truly love Charlie. Also Hearing Alastor use profanity is GOLD. That’s how you know he’s really upset because nobody really gets to him.
I swear I’ve seen this exact comment on like 30 videos 😭
Charlie: "He barely ever calls me"
Lucifer: "This is the first time she calls me"
Hmm...
I don't think it took Lucifer an hour to get to the hotel, but that it took him an hour to prepare himself. ^^
To quote Husk, the all-wise, all-knowing bartender... "Daddy issues."
Alastor has been gone for 7years. Charlie hasn't spoken to her mom in Seven years. Alastors on someone's leash.
theory's.....
Alastor is Lilith confirmed!!!!
Alastor is Charlie's mom!
The Seven Deadly Sins
Coincidence? I think *NOT!*
My theory for the ducks is that he was fixated on the moment Charlie first laid eyes on one of his creations, the part where she sneaked in while he was working, and so he held on to that memory of her smile despite being estranged for a long time. There's also that line he sings, "I've missed that smile."
Luci”s slight voice crack at “I just don’t want you to be crushed by them, like …like *I* was…” hits hard, especially when you’re also suffering from severe clinical depression, like me…
Luci is so bloody relatable for me.
One thing of note you should both know is that 90% of the vocal cast for the show are either current or ex Broadway performers thats why Lucifer's voice went so hard in singing
To explain the reason Alastor is so immediately hostile towards Lucifer.
This is the FIRST time we've seen Alastor interacting with someone MORE powerful than he is. Lucifer is the top dog of hell, he is the MOST powerful being we have seen across this and helluva boss, bar none. So naturally Alastor wants to play power games, and he does it by basically usurping his fatherly role.
Lucifer probably spent that hour just mentally bracing himself to see Charlie. Like look at what he has to do just to answer her phone call. Yeah, he can teleport throughout all of Hell at will, but that doesn't mean he's instantly ready to go anywhere.
That was my analysis too. he knows lucifer beats him in power, so he is throwing off lucifer mentally. he just needs that one second of weakness to strike.
Can't believe we got the voices for both Varian and Spinel in the same episode! This is fantastic because they're both major comfort characters to me! And, as always, Alastor being a smug troll and hijacking other people's songs is ALWAYS funny! 🤣
*But I am terrified for Husk after that one scene, though...* 😥
Also Light Yagami in the English concept album for the Death Note musical!
Just in case we forgot that he was an overlord to Husk & Nifty like Val is to Angel? More cultured, and reasonable (as long as you dont cross him), but not nice.
Wait, Mimzy is Spinel?!
@@derykjames620Yup. Same voice actress.
lucifer said he'd "be there in an hour", that's entirely different grammar from "it'll take me an hour to get there"
9:56 it's kinda funny, i think you're the first reaction youtuber i've seen that actually caught the Devil Went Down to Georgia reference LMAO
Do you just not watch many then? Because i believe there were 5+(ish) from what I've seen. Can't quite remember who but i know a couple did
If anything, most people are so distracted by the golden violin, they immediately forget about the way Alistor really trolled Lucifer a few seconds before (which is absolutely my favourite part. I literally can't scroll past any tiktoks of this song, because I absolutely have to rewatch the way he smiles when he says "you could almost call me... DAAAAD" cause it's just so freaking petty 😂)
Fun fact: The reason Lucifer was using an Accordion in the Hell's Greatest Dad number, is a reference to whom Vivziepop wanted to originally voice Lucifer, Weird Al Yankovic. Mimzy is voiced by Sara Stiles, AKA Spinel from Steven Universe. Lucifer is voiced by Jeremy Jordan, who played Varian in Tangled The Series.
Wow.... Thank God she coulget Al. I love his songs, but that would of been a huge step down from what we got.
“It’s almost like he was a singer who also does voice acting.”
Brother they pulled all the main actors from broadway for this
Except for Angel Dust. Blake Roman was an absolute nobody who went into the audition right after school and got the role. Apparently never VA'd before in his life.
@@GlassedGamer oooh, didn't know that. That's cool about Blake
I imagine Lucifer gave them an hour to get ready before he showed up rather than being there instantly through opening a portal or teleporting.
Or he stood outside the hotel for that entire hour, just out of sight lol
Them being like “his voice!” “who is this voice actor?!” Meanwhile I’m over here SCREAMING “JEREMY JORDAN!!! IT’S JEREMY JORDAN!!!“ he’s PHENOMENAL, I LOVE HIM
Lucifer is voiced by actor and singer Jeremy Jordan, best known from Broadway and playing Winn in the TV series DC's Supergirl.
Fun fact Lucifer's outfit is an apple core
To be fair, that first meeting was not For Charlie or the hotel, Lucifer just didn't want to go and sent Charlie instead, so she used the opportunity to talk about her hotel. The point of the first meeting was to discuss them moving up the next extermination, and the reason for that was Carmilla killing an exorcist.
if you look close during lucifer squeezing charlie you can see alastor's eye twitching
Lucifer is voiced by Jeremy Jordan, aside from his Broadway work he was the voice of Varian in Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure.
Headcanon: It took Lucifer an hour to get there because he had to take the time to psyche himself up first. Depression, remember?
Or he wanted Charlie to have time to get ready
I'm under the impression he was waiting outside the door for an hour excitedly bouncing the entire time, as soon as Charlie opened the door, he was already there and ready to hug her
I thought it was to do that eyeshadow
@josephsharp6221 I'm with both you and Kras
Well in my opinion it's to psych himself up and get ready as depression really messes a person up depending on how bad it is, speaking from experience of one point in my life
Remember, almost all of the voice actors are Broadway actors, so musicals.
Well, let me put it this way: Like how Guilliman in 40k has Ultra-Depression for what he has to deal with now from the Imperium....Lucifer has Hella Depression because he used to be someone who brought life and joy to humans and also gave humans free will (the apple with Eve), but Heaven absolutely denied everything he had in mind and eventually forced him into the Hells. So now he's a defeated, depressed, broken person from everything.
All the voice-actors in the show are also Broadway performers, which is why they're such good singers.
And I recently learned that apparently the plan was 22 episodes, but they were only given 8, so they had to compress a *lot* of stuff into that timespan.
Loser baby is my favourite song of season 1 but More Than Anything is such a beautiful song that I still choke up while singing along to it because I know it is the kind of love I will give to my own children when I have them
It’s theorized (I don’t know if it’s confirmed) that Lucifer gave humans free will in the hazbin lore (supported by exposition dump in ep 1 and this one) so imagine what it’s like to literally see the consequences of your actions from literally when the earth was made, and to see literally no one has broken the mold in that time.
Exactly. From Lucifer's immortal POV, the human race is not getting better, because if they were, the amount of souls coming to Hell would be declining. After eons of humans misusing free will, Lucifer seems to have just given up thinking these Sinners can be anything other than degenerates.
Do these folks not understand that the vast majority of the Hazbin Hotel cast has Broadway credits? 😂 Why are they surprised by their voices sounding so good?
"More Than Anything"
Lucifer and Charlie's Father/Daughter duet makes me cry every time I play it.
Razzle and Dazzle are like Keyky they are toys Lucifer bring to life.
Lucifer and Charlie where in Lucifer's Lulu World. In Pride ring
In Helluva boss season 1 episode 2 Actavia was talking about it.
Mammon has his own rip off Loo loo land.
Charlie's Canon age is 200 years.
#Theory
Charlie wasn't first children of Lilith and Lucifer but they all born death.
@ LadySygerrik
Some stories of Lilith have her cursed with the inability to have children, with all of hers being either born dead or dying shortly after being born. It could be Charlie isn't their first child, just the first one to survive.
@Valentino simp
If we learned anything from Helluva Boss, it's that Viv love morbid backstories soooo
Welcome to the glory that is Jeremy Jordan's voice. Quite possibly the best singer in Broadway and animation right now.
Jeremy Jordan is the Lucifer VA. He is Varian from “Tangled: The Series”. He’s also been in many Broadway shows.
Couple of things you may have missed:
- Husk’s coffee cup says “Fuck Mondays”.
- Picture of emo Charlie at Lucifer’s house.
- The golden accordion is a nod to “Weird Al” Yankovic. Vivienne originally wanted him to be Lucifer in the series.
Did you see how long it took the man to answer the phone? He needed an hour to talk himself up lol
“That duck so many eyes. Eyes for days.”
“Eyes for days?”
“Eyes for days.”
Also: I’m sorry about your kitty. 🥺
You don't just teleport to someone's home without giving them some time to get things in order first, it's just good manners. Plus he likely needed to freshen up himself.
22:40 "Almost like he's a singer who also does voice acting." Spot on, that is pretty much every voice in this show, part of the reason they changed casting from the pilot to the full series (as great as the pilot actors did their characters) was that this was meant to be a musical. Vivzie primarily pulled on singers from broadway and stuff like Alex Brightman (The voice of Sir Pentious, Adam, and Fizz in Helluva. Also Beetlejuice in the Beetlejuice Musical. Also Jack Black in The School of Rock Musical.) The Voice Actor for Lucifer is Jeremy Jordan, who although not having a final role, actually was a big part in The Greatest Showman becoming a thing, as he stood in for Hugh Jackman for a while after he had surgery. He also played in Supergirls, he was Jack Kelley in Newsies, and Clyde in the 2011 rendition of Bonnie and Clyde. They wanted good voice actors, but they also needed professional singers for this project.
I'm really sorry for your loss, I didn't know much about Simba, but I'm sure he was a great cat who lived a long, happy life ❤
Why didn't Lucifer just teleport over?
Because Charlie and her hotel might not have been prepared for his arrival. If he dropped in in a literal second, he could've seemed desperate (which his pride wouldn't allow), and possibly irritated his daughter in doing so (some people can be sensitive about unexpected arrival/drop-ins, and this also could've furthered their father-daughter distance in Lucifer's mind)
^So, he wanted to be courteous and make a good impression. Better to save the instant teleport-arrival for if there's an actual emergency or something :P
My personal favorite theory is that he did teleport right over and was just outside the door for 1h
The voice actor for Lucifer is Jeremy Jorden and he is on broadway. Voice of an angle
With that many ducks I bet at least one of them does in fact go moo
I don't know what you're going through, but my heart goes out to you. Positive thoughts from me to all of you. Depression can suck my ass.
Ohhhh the twists that are coming. Finding out who people are and where some one has been …
Lucifers voice is like velvet on a cool spring day whilst having a picnic
Oh i couldn’t wait for him to meet Lucifer it’s literally the most perfect character for him
The scene during the last song where he sees the spears pointing at Charlie, eyes widen in horror, and he spins her out of the light and into the shadow to keep her safe. Perfection.
14:16 As per comments of the creator, the power rankings in Hell are:
1) Lucifer
2) Lilith and Charlie (Give Lilith the edge over her daughter since Charlie isn't exactly a fighter)
3) The Sins (Like Asmodeus, Mammon and Beelzebub from Helluva)
4) The Goetia (like Stolas. There's quite a few of them, they have their own internal ranking of status and power)
5) The Overlords, of whom Alastor is stated to be the most powerful
6) The Mortal Sinners condemned to Hell
7) The naturalborn of Hell, of whom Imps and Hellhounds rank the lowest.
I know I'm late, but I haven't seen anyone make the comment, so might as well :D
Alastor’s “Fuck You” to Lucifer is my favorite moment in the entire season. It’s just so out of nowhere and so hilarious. Like any verbal clash where all else fails, just say “Fuck You”.
MORE THAN ANYTHING IS MY NUMBER ONE SONG OF THIS SEASON …. I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS TO THE EPISODES BOTH OF YOU 😊
The big running theory with the community is the reason Lucifer seems so obsessed with ducks is he sees himself as The Ugly Duckling so its translated into basically everything and hence why in the song you see the duck seem to become more swanlike and angelic. Lucifer is such and incredible character in this show and definitely my favorite version I have met through any media this far.
It's kinda sad how much the duck obsession intensified after Charlie was taken away from him. He saw how happy the duck made her and locks himself in that workshop clinging to those memories .The family pictures on the wall, the mountains of projects he just keeps restarting, THE WEDDING RING HE STILL WEARS, mans is NOT okay.
Introducing your favourite character.
I knew you were gona love him the moment you seen him.
The talk about Lucifer's beautiful voice can be explained by the fact that Jeremy Jordan has indeed been a massive Broadway actor for a while! He's so talented, especially in Newsies, as she mentioned. He's been in so many things and is a fan favorite amongst theater enthusiasts. :)
"TAKE THAT DEPRESSION!!" My favorite line ever!!! Alastor is indeed strong, he is an enigma as Zestial said in ep 3, we don't know much on him, just little hints of lore so far. The reveal that he is also on a leash was huge for the fandom. People went crazy with theories when this aired! Lucifer has won me as a favorite, though Alastor is next. His voice and "More than Anything" is my favorite song ever!!! I cry every time, I think all who have daddy issues did. Lucifer has shown so many signs of deep depression I can so see like others have said he needed to the hour to prepare himself for meeting Charlie. It's clear he wants a big relationship with her and is very broken and jaded. As someone who suffers deep depression I need to often psych myself up to do anything, even something I want to do badly. Also must say, I completely forgot your channel involves ducks because as soon as you realized Lucifer is a Duck King I died lmao. He makes ducks as his fixation. He probably does have a rubber duck that goes moo!
7:33 - Funfact
In the german Dub
Alastor also says
"F*** you"
But the "you" is formally pronounced
I was reading comments on that and it apparently went even further. There’s a formal “you” in German…but also a form that’s specifically for royalty.
And Alastor made a point of NOT using the royal form.
@rekkariley652 - there is no royal form of "you."
@@hermannmakuta3311 Just repeating what another German speaker said on that video. They’re the ones you need to talk to about that.
@@hermannmakuta3311 Well it's a technicality issue. I don't know the comment they are referring to, so I can only assume, but I imagine we're talking about the difference between Siezen und Ihrzen, which is mostly just the more archaic form but probably most well-known for once being used for, among other socially high-ranking people, royalty. As in, "f*ckt Euch" instead of "f*cken Sie sich" - or rather, if I'm understanding rekka correctly, Alastor did probably use the latter while the former would assumedly be more acceptable for Lucifer's hierarchical standing.
@@howlingnerdwolf6971I'm not exactly fluent in German, but Alastor did say the latter one, which was pretty funny cuz I think that he used the 'informal' (we call it that here in German class) form when he spoke to him prior to that.
21:34 - According to Google
Charlie is over 200 Years old
And Luci has PTSD and Autism.
Thanks for taking the time to record this despite having a bad day. We appreciate it. hope things get better for you.
I laughed at your simultaneous surprised/impressed faces when Lucifer showed his duck haha
20:38 "I feel like that voice could help my back pain" 😂 omfg that's a line I needed
I swear i've listened to Lucifer's song 30+ times and tear up everytime. Perfection
3:30 been waiting week's to see Duck react to this xD
Makes me feel like Lucifer every time I go back towhittling now and then... almost done making that wooden duck.
“More Than Anything” always gives me chills.
Lucifer's depression explains their relationship so much. Especially if Charlie doesn't know he has it, creating a disconnect and issues between them
I'm so glad you got the Golden Fiddle reference. Few reactors I've seen have.
I've been waiting for this for so long. My favorite character introduced with the best rubber ducks in (my opinion) the best episode.
Notice how when Lucifer is singing, the angel's silhouettes point their weapons at him, and he just seems down. But then they turn their weapons to Charlie, and he is terrified. He's afraid of her being a target of Heaven.
Not calling myself out, but I may or may not have cried like a b!tch in the episode 🤔 really glad you got to it, really excited for this next one and the ones after. You're really going to love it
Jeremy Jordan (Luficer) is a Broadway singer. He's the reason "The Greatest Showman" was greenlit because he had to sing all the songs after Jackman had a nose surgery, and more recently, he's also the English voice of Light Yagami in the demo album for the Death Note Musical.
Wait. There's a Death Note musical???
@5Geass Yeah. The japanese musical can be seen in its entirety on RUclips, but the English album can be listened to on RUclips and Spotify (under "podcast").
Ya Lucifer was seriously burned by heaven as he didn't want Charlie to experience the same thing he did or worse as that why he avoided the question of helping her with the heaven issue but I'm happy that she slowly help healed her father wounds of his depression for that moment.
Rarely comment, but thanks for getting the reaction out when you've had such a bad day - hope things aren't too bad for you dude
I think pretty much all the VAs in this were on Broadway? So that's why they're all great singers.
More Than Anything is by far my favourite HH song. Been obsessed with that and Look my Way from HB.
Edit: Also, sending ya all my love dude! ❤
I'm very sorry you lost your cat. May Simba rest in peace, and very sorry for your loss. It never is going to be easy. I'm scared for the day that I have to say goodbye to my own cat. I don't want to but I know at one point I will. So take care and I'm glad you like the episode. It is one of my more favorite episodes. However I think episode 4 still has to be my favorite. I know I love deep seated character development and hard lessons. And I especially love seeing people come through on the other side better than they were before. You're going to see a lot better side of Angel dust from this point on because of what happened in episode 4.
As a Varian fan I automatically knew I'd love Lucifer the moment I learned he would be voiced by Jeremy freakin Jordan. Varian songs are some of the absolute best songs and I'm so glad that people have already made Hazbin Hotel fan animatics to "Ready As I'll Ever Be"
"Aww that was sssthweet"
Fun fact: it was momentous when Alastor cuss because since his demon persona is based off a radio host the 1920’s, he never swore until then. Reason being that swearing on the radio was forbidden back then
Damn dude... Dedication .. hope you have a better day tomorrow dude!
Because that is an accurate representation of a duck
Hell's Greatest Dad is my second favorite. I'm so happy you like Respectless
20:16-23:23, one of the sweetest songs I have ever Heard! Charlie and Lucifer have an amazing father/daughter relationship! IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!😍😍😍😍🥲🥲
You know with how they had depicted the relationship with Charlie and her family, I explained Lucifer to be more of the emotionally abusive type, so it’s fun to seem him as an adorable idiot just trying his best at being a dad and failing.
Honestly, Lucifer, his introduction qnd his overall character was someone whom I felt I could relate to and I felt that the fears and emotions he has would be the same as mine in the future, and the song "More Than Anything" actually made me cry because of the meaning and message behind the lyrics. "Good luck kiddo" 😭
7:35 regarding Alastor swearing, what makes it more surprising and catches you off guard, is how Lucifer (and one other guy shown later which I will not spoil) are the only ones he swears at, being people who are higher up than he is but doesn’t respect.
“My golly! You like girl?! So do I! We have so much in common!”
NGL I think that’s pretty cool reaction to finding out your child swings both ways
"It took him an hour to get there".
I just assumed, in his anxiousness and depression, he took that time to clean himself up, and probably practice what to say to his daughter, much like he practiced what to say when answering Charlie's call.
16:20 "Why does he think like that 😬" OMFG you are the only reaction channel i've EVER seen who has noticed that! i swear, every time i see this episode i'm like, "ooh, yikes," yet NO ONE ELSE has EVER mentioned how alarming that is to hear from a character already established to have depression! man! okay, clearly i need to binge this channel.
Have fun!! Everything should be in playlists
Been loving these. Your friend is such a wonderful guest I love her energy and she is beautiful
It didn’t take him an hour; He gave them an hour.
Lucifer would probably be best friends with the eggs 😂
I know other people said depression for him taking an hour, but it's also just the nice thing to do. Give her time to get ready
Lucifer brought that Genie energy, and as much as Mimzy might be seen as annoying, her va understanding the assignment perfectly. Fitting as she's the VA for Spinel from Steven universe.
Something to bare in mind is that Lucifer is also one of the seven sins, in his case, Pride. His and Charlie's song take place in the proverbial and visual big top, which continues the Circus Act theme of the other sins.
I didn't realize Jeremy Jordan had such a fantastic voice until the musical episode crossover of The Flash and Supergirl. Took me by surprise. Love him here as Lucifer and the duet between him and Alastor is the best.
I saw a tiktok that was "how can a song tell you if i have daddy issues" then 'more than anything' played, and uh, yeah that'd do it
I think Lucifer was just being polite in saying he'd come in an hour.
I really love lucifers design, also the references in it. His hat has a snake on it, because when he gave eve the forbidden fruit he took on the form of a snake. He also has an apple on his hat and cane, because the forbidden fruit is regularly displayed as an apple.
Also don't forget he's the ringleader. Quite literally. All of hell is a circus
Lucifer's commute time is 30 seconds. But he needed 59 minute and 30 seconds to get over his anxiety to leave the house
All of the voice actors are professional singers and doing broadway
Important note, Lucifer IS an archangel. As the king of hell who has lived there for 10,000 years he has access to demonic powers but he is still a pure blooded angel. Its why he bleeds gold when he bites his lip and why he is so effing strong. He is the next best thing to invincible in the series. Only primorials, god, or another archangel can off or even hurt him.
