    If we ever get a remake, we need to get a dedicated Golden deer route, one where Almyra is more included in the story. Holst would be playable and like Edelgard's route, it would be locked behind certain conditions.
    I would also love to see the Ashen wolves get an entire route to themselves. Akin to not revelations, having no faction, they navigate the war period trying to help out those closest to them. As the ashen wolves all have people they care about from each faction. The war part of the game could have you recruit the other characters from each faction such as hilda, Ashe, etc. Instead of recruiting characters in the academy phase.

      Yeah, the Ashen Wolves route was very underwhelming. They should have taken the time to have a full set of units like the other houses and made the campaign just as long as Golden Deer. They should have also made Crimson Flower as long as the other routes. And I know why they went the route of not giving Claude a retainer because he got two signature weapons instead of 1 but giving him a retainer and someone like Gilbert/Jeritza would have been a lot cooler than giving him a second signature weapon in my opinion. Holst and Nader would have been fine ones to give to Golden Deer, especially considering Nader was specifically stated in the Golden Deer campaign to be Claude's retainer.

      One thing I would definitely implement if it were up to me is making Ferdinand the lord on Silver Snow. Give him a unique class on that route only that’s similar to Holy Knight, and have him lead the church’s forces alongside Byleth.

    I never understood people who complained that 3H reuses stuff, especially in the school phase, cuz like, have you never replayed a game before? thats literally what replaying a game is. and did you think you were gunna get 3 whole ass different games for 1 price tag?

    • @saintlugia
      @saintlugia Месяц назад +11

      I think that it's more that the story feels monotonous to replay eith different characters. You are right, but it's a perception thing that most people can't shake

    • @fellowpassenger_54-67
      @fellowpassenger_54-67 Месяц назад +14

      The difference is that the whole different routes concept is a main selling point of three houses, other games usually don’t use replay factor as a selling point
      The best thing is that not much is needed to make the routes feel more different:
      1. I would make changes in the academy phase but it’s fine as is if we are to stay as minimalistic as possible
      2. Azure moon is fine as is
      3. CF needs an extra chapter or two dealing with the mole people but outside of that it’s fine for the most part
      4. Give the Almyrans more involvement in the maps and in the story
      5. Cut Silver Snow, sure it’s got lots of potential to be a cool Rhea route but a major overhaul would be needed to accommodate this while still making the others feel more unique which isn’t possible with a minimalist approach, so cutting it or saving it as dlc for later would be better
      Side note: apparently the developers stated that they only expected players to only play one route and drop the game afterwards which would explain why SS and VW are identical to each other

      Fates diverged into its 3 routes much earlier and had much less reused elements between them. And there were cartridges that could fit all 3 routes, so its not like there is no precedent to having wildly different experiences in one package. Games like Octopath Traveller had you go through 8 distinct storylines for every playable character, and despite reusing assets and levels, at least it bothered to change up the order you visit them and have different objectives for every character.
      Even 3 Hopes improved on this issue despite that game also reusing a lot of content between the 3 routes.

    • @michaeljohnston6783
      @michaeljohnston6783 Месяц назад +1

      I belive it's not the replaying per se that's the issue, but that the diverging dialogue between the houses in the first part is underwhelming - especially if Blue Lions is played first. Playing the other houses then feels like a lesser story because it's the same... but MINUS the Sylvain-Gautier and Ashe-Lonato links. If different chapters were equally impactful per route, I'd have no issues about the early chapters.
      Also, the monestary is a grind, but NG+ using renown for unlocks feels like a cheaty way to speed past those components and misses out on the quest rewards

      Eh, the less chapters you get with the singular house I think the worse the game would be. Part of what was so good about it was building up the story and your character builds from your choice of one of the three factions. If the game didn't have any replayability value to it, then I would agree, because my initial choice was Golden Deer, but my favorite house ended up being Blue Lions. But because I could replay the game as many times as I wanted and choose whichever route I wanted it made the game feel more specialized for each of the factions, which a lot of the draw of this game was choosing one of the three factions. I would rather have the choice of the three factions early on in the game rather than the halfway point, so you get more interaction with your chosen faction, rather than just mixing them together.

    Sometimes people come up with ways to redo 3H that I don’t like, but wow this would’ve been cool! I love the idea of Edelgard calling Byleth “my teacher” not being weird because she’s not reallyyyy their student in non Black Eagles routes. There’s so much potential for a more focused story in this, I love the dedicated chapters ESPECIALLY Leonie avenging Jeralt’s death. If Intelligent Systems ever tries to do a route split again, I think something like this would be amazing

    I had a similar solution in mind.
    Each month has a mission and you should be able to pick which House leads the expedition each month. Since Byleth has more field experience than Manuela and Hanneman, it wouldn't be weird why they are the professors leading all the time.
    Depending on the mission, some characters for other Houses will insists on joining you (like Ashe for Chapter 3, Leoni for Chapter 10, Edelgarde for Chapter 8, all of which can be declained by the player, but then they will skip on some bonus dialogue), but you can ask a character from other houses to join you on the adventure if you favorite isn't in the House you want to lead.
    For Chapter 9, you will meet up with the House Leader you chose the most often during the other chapters, if it's a tie, then it's based on support level/points to make the come back promise.
    Chapter 11 is when you actually decide your house. All house leaders are at the Rite, Dimitri goes berserk and Edelgarde is exposed. Here you get a few options, protect Edelgarde (self-explanatory Black Eagle route), fight against her (Blue Lions), don't get involved with the conflict and see how it plays out (Golden Deer) or regroup by getting church forces to fight off the invasion (Church route and Ashen Wolves could auto-join here if you did DLC but didn't recruit them by that point so that there will be enough people in that house). Then based on how much support you had people from other houses will join you. It's a bit silly when all you have to do is to ride a pegasus well for someone to leave their lord permanently.
    Even without a replay point, each person would be able to have unique White Cloud experience where their choices matter.

    • @illusionofquality979
      @illusionofquality979 Месяц назад

      Ducktape solution isn't necessary, when characters rejoin, they are automatically auto-leveled since not everyone is training people in one house equally and they are needed to fight off the thieves.

    My changes, before watching the video, are:
    - no Gender lock on classes
    - make Claude and Dede able to romance male byleth, for even supports between the lords
    - give Claude and his fellow nobles supports with one another, allowing Claude to potentially have unique Part 2 scenarios, dividing further from Silver Snow
    - and finally, mix the houses so you have a more informed choice, and supports tie into which Lord you join in Part 2.

    I really need them to expand on some smaller details and lore surrounding Sothis and Nabateans because it has implications for the larger FE verse.
    For example, if Sothis directly " created " humans as the Argathans stated, that means that humans in Fodlan aren't completely human compared to humans on the outside.
    They're more like Draconic Humonculi.
    Which i think is pretty huge.
    Especially because it doesn't seem like magic or technology is necessary for this process, it seems like something Nabateans can do biologically.
    Being able to create new different forms of life or alter existing as a natural ability.

    My piping hot take is that I prefer it the way that 3 Houses has it 😅
    I understand that it’s harder to get into for a 1st play through, but I think it’s better for repeat playthroughs. While the first chapters are very repetitive (and admittedly there should be fewer of them before it branches off), that encourages the player to engage more with the characters and discover their unique traits, which is a major general focus of the game. And also, with the proposed solution of breaking up the chapters between houses, that’s time lost for developing the units you’ll use for the rest of the game. So much of the point is developing your late-game builds, and you just lost 4 chapters of experience/tutoring/class experience to get there with that change. That limits how busted you can make your units (which is a huge pay off imo) and makes the mid game less interesting since you haven’t had time to specialize as much yet. In a perfect world that’s fine because the game could just be made 4 chapters longer… but with 3H’s development, that wouldn’t have been an option :(

  • @jord839

    I've had similar ideas in the past. I think my biggest criticism is that the mission selection you have is really lopsided with the Blue Lions being used up all earlier (which may give players too much exposure to them and too much experience with them early and bias them towards the units they're used to) and Golden Deer and Black Eagles too late (where their development will have been less under your control and you get your second week with the Deer literally right before the big choice decision.)
    I would argue a separate set-up:
    Chapter 1/Mock Battle - Choose Your House
    Chapter 2/Zanado - Give to the Black Eagles so Edelgard is examining this mysterious professor and how they deal with Kostas in person.
    Chapter 3 - Keep with Blue Lions
    Chapter 4/The Rite - Give to the Golden Deer, not just because investigating an assassination scheme is up Claude's alley more, but you didn't mention that Claude actually gets a unique cutscene in VW for the SotC about "Could I even use it? Damn it, here's no telling what's to come now" which would cast suspicion on him or make him interesting in terms of the player's suspicions about the Flame Emperor's true identity.
    Chapter 5 - Keep with Blue Lions
    Chapter 6 - Keep with Golden Deer
    Chapter 7 - Choose Your House
    Chapter 8 - Keep Black Eagles
    Chapter 9 - Change to Black Eagles only, given "Monica's" importance and work that into the script
    Chapter 10 - Keep as Golden Deer with Leonie's motivation
    Chapter 11 - After screwing around with the other houses, Rhea forces you to command the Blue Lions as part of her plans, so every single player gets to see the "Is this some kind of twisted joke?!" scene for future decisions.
    Chapter 12 - Choose Your House
    It removes more choices, but it lets you have more required even exposure across all three routes, and if the goal is to make White Clouds skippable, I honestly think it makes *more* sense to have fewer choice missions so that you're less disadvantaged if you do skip them.

  • @AshenDust_

    I would make chapters 1, 2, and 9 choose your house for you, rather than letting you pick one. With 4 whole chapters that you can choose who to lead, it makes knowing which house you’ll choose before the timeskip a massive advantage because of how much xp and class mastery you’ll be getting, incentivizing players to play through White Clouds 3 separate times, which was the very thing you were trying to avoid.
    I would make Chapter 1 the Golden Deer, Chapter 2 the Black Eagles and Chapter 9 the Blue Lions. Chapter 2 being the Black Eagles makes the most sense because Edelgard is the one who hired Kostas and the Flame Emperor appears in a cutscene after the battle. That means Chapter 1 should be the Golden Deer or else you wouldn’t play them for the first 5 chapters of the game, and Chapter 9 being the Blue Lions works well because it’s sandwiched between Black Eagles and Golden Deer chapters.

    • @AshenDust_
      @AshenDust_ Месяц назад

      Also if we need a justification for Byleth leading the Golden Deer in Chapter 1, make Manuela the head of the Black Eagles, Hanneman the head of the Blue Lions and Jeritza the head of the Golden Deer and make Byleth some weird 4th teacher not affiliated with any house. Jeritza could be away that day murdering civilians or something, and Byleth has to fill in for him during the mock battle.

  • @isleschild

    Conversely, I think that having your time cut down with each house in this fashion would a) make the world flatter with less character, as the appearance that the houses you DONT pick have their own unique story fades b) diminish the importance of each individual character in the game, as the time you spend with each is reduced and most importantly c) centers the story more on Byleth than ever before, rather than allowing what focus can be achieved on the house lord and his or her faction.
    Currently, you are forced to / you GET to watch as each lord reveals his or her philosophy and try to substantiate it during the school arc.

    I've written a rough story that basically does just that, rotates through each class instead and then incorporates as much of each routes part 2 as possible. The cycle for part 1 that I had was GD, BE, BL, but then for chapter 11 it's with BL instead of BE so you get the Dimitri cutscene

    • @gg_sam7847
      @gg_sam7847 Месяц назад

      I chose GD for chapter 1 because I looked at the map for it and (depending on the house you choose) BL always has Hanneman, BE always has Manuela but GD doesn't have a "confirmed" teacher so it must be Byleth. (Also I had Claude be the main lord that survives to the end, since he already survives in every route anyway so it fits that way too)
      Chapter 2 Edelgard wants to tie up the loose ends that is Kostas
      Chapter 3 Ashe/Lonato
      Chapter 4 GD because Sword of the Creator and Claude has been looking for it
      Chapter 5 the theme behind Miklan/Sylvain/Relics is very relevant to Edelgard and this is where she starts to really try get across her opinions to Byleth
      Chapter 6 I've always considered Flayn to be a member of Blue Lions and Three Hopes supports this, so may as well have Seteth let her join the class that rescued her as well as the nation most aligned with them
      Chapter 7 similar to reasons explained in chapter 1 as well as it just fits with GD being the first pick and the "survivors" to the "end"
      Chapter 8 same as stated in the video
      Chapter 9 emotional moment of Jeralts death with Dimitri, contributing to his character arc as well as helping Byleth feel close to him making them choose them for chapter 11 instead of BE since Rhea says to bring their most trusted class to the big ole basement
      Chapter 10 Leonie revenge
      Chapter 11 switch up to have BL instead
      Maybe for chapter 12, even if Byleth/Player doesn't side with Edelgard you play as Edelgard to invade Gareg Mach since they end up winning that battle anyway. You'd have a bunch of Green Units to help fight all the enemy playable characters that'd be pretty strong

    I feel like a cool way to fix stat and exp disparity with your idea is to loosen and tighten the restrains on what students are in what houses. I would lock the different routes behind which "groups" of students have higher supports. At the same time I would still follow your outline by having each of the first 8-9 chapters include a guaranteed House Lord, there vice and 1 or 2 story related students. All other students would be free-for-all. Any other students would auto level with Manuela, Hanneman, Cathrine, Shamir, Seteth, and etc. with certain defaults or manual choice since you'll eventually fight any you don't recruit. This lets you focus on building up a few characters at a time, while scaling much you wanna micromanage, or let's you play around with everyone. Since Houses would be a little more open, your route choices you would depend on 4 things: 1.) How high your support is with the lord 2.) How high your support is with their vice and the students from their region 3.) How high the supports are between your highest support students and the leaders 4.) In-built values that make students easier or harder to side with certain leaders. I would also find a way to punish or discourage people from trying to recruit everyone to one side. Maybe something like Shadow of Mordor's 'Nemesis System' between students or maybe just give scaling buffs, bonuses and special skills to missed recruits if the amount of student you keep in part 2 passes a certain threshold. If all non-locked students are recruited, the enemy house leaders and their vice become super bosses, as well as get some buffed replacement units.

  • @SkaiaMechanic
    @SkaiaMechanic Месяц назад

    I like this idea! One thing I would add to it is recruiting students from other houses. Instead of "must be B+ rank in a skill Byleth isn't suited for" it's completely on support level. Recruitable students that reach at least a B rank of support before the War phase also join you. The game is able to be completed with one house (and I think is better story-wise when it's student vs student in the war phase), but if you MUST have your favorite outside your main house, you'll have to work for it. And cap the limit of students recruitable this way to the top 2-3 with most support points. No recruiting the entirety of the other two houses before the war phase. You get the most conflict while saving some of those great mixed-house support conversations.

  • @nicholasbarao3358

    I know the first half of three houses is super repetitive. But if you don’t pick your house early in the game you don’t get a chance to grow as close to your students as possible. Also each of the leaders have special dialogue that is specific to their route and build upon their story and you would lose that. While it is repetitive you do get to do paralogues specific to the characters you recruit. Did you know in blue lions if you don’t do Dedue’s paralogue, he dies in prison. I’m sorry but three houses only works if you pick a house early on in the game.

  • @Milo-1942
    @Milo-1942 Месяц назад

    I think each house getting a dedicated level before you decide is definitely a good idea, but for the whole first half of the game seems a bit excessive. I think pushing the mock battle back a bit and having that when you decide, or at the battle of the eagle and lion, would be better because if you do know which class you want being forced to play with the others for the whole first half of the game would probably be just as annoying. Also the whole reason the class comes back for the reunion post time skip is because you spent the whole first half of the game building a serious bond with them, and that would be a whole lot less effective if you only played like four or five levels with them.

    The "Big Ifs" here, not counting the question of if anyone would even nominate her for the position (since, as a proud knight of the Kingdom, she wouldn't seek it)...
    If Ingrid would leave her homeland (or take it with her, expanding the Alliance's borders) - what I've seen of (pre-war) Dimitri suggests we don't need to consider him too much, as he seems like a very level-headed and caring young man who wants the best for his friends and subjects, and would never mistreat prisoners of war (...because he doesn't take any).
    If the lords of the Alliance would tolerate a Kingdom noble as their leader - but Claude's mysteriously swarthy, like somebody from one of those foreign lands the Fodlaners distrust and dislike, and he's seeing a minimum of opposition. So surely the Alliance nobility can begrudgingly accept a foreigner that's a cousin to some of them.

    Given that the accadamy phase is the only time to recrute from outside your class, it is important to have, so i propose an alternate option. To borrow from the dlc, the first missions are with the class leads and a selection of students from the rest of the class with geralt and aluise playable on the "return" arc, say 4 battles, the introduction battle, a spar match against the holy knights, an encounter with wild beast, and an encounter with bandits with your allies in ready order. Seeing your skills, you are recommended as an instructor and pick your house, you soend the same smount of time in the accadamy to permit recruitment but instead of away misdions focused on the kingdom, the missions are focused on the region for the house you chose, the monistary missions remain the same. But the training missions and mock battles are removed for more away missions for either the monistary, or the house. With the split, the choice to side with or against the church is with all houses which means loosing either demitri or edlgard with claude following your choice but choosing to follow through in targeting those who slither in the dark as the root of the war.

    I will say this is not a bad idea for three houses but it kinda defeats the the meaning of the game as the main theme to the game is developing a close relationship to you class students and supporting them when the war breaks out. that the whole point of picking a class at the beginning of the game is that you are essentially take your students from zero to hero after the time skip and haveing your students become harden and strong warriors after time is just so satisfying and basically give the the player a moment of “I did that, that was all me” as you see your hard work work pay off form the academy arc of the game and seeing how strong your students have become since the 5 year time skip

    Oddly enough, the Warriors spin-off does exactly this. Also having smaller chapters at the beginning that are actually relevant to each house

    I just love it when people try to fix games but do not notice that what they suggest will completely ruin the game. The whole purpose for the academy phase and locked route is to make sure you can get your students ready for the late game. Previous games had people with rather quickly building weapon rank systems where they just had to attack enough to get weapon ranks to increase but it was slowed down in three houses thanks to it adding more of a hub aspect that previous games lacked. It takes quite a while to get to that A or S rank to get to the higher ranks needed for the advanced/master classes. Skipping the first half of the game would make you barely have stats to fight later game bosses. Now to be fair I will admit making the story the same in the beginning is dumb. Some of the missions like sylvains brother would have been better if it was only on the blue lions side of the story making it unique and the same would be for the mission on chapter three with lord lanato. My fix would be to have each route unique from one another with different things happening and more clues to what is to come so that you can get an idea of what will happen later. Cutting out the first half would over all ruin the entire game unless you did a complete overhaul of the entire professor teaching system to resemble older style games which was something three houses wanted to move away from. For those wondering about his idea about having weapon ranks higher and giving them boosting experience skills sadly that would make the game far far to easy as while the early game would be better it would make the end game more of a nightmare as it becomes a cake walk for anyone looking for a challenge and you would not be able to recruit students from other houses making the end game boring with only having the same students in them with no mix and mashing like in the normal game. While I can understand that some do not like the repetitive parts tho parts are vital for the success of the game and should they be removed it would only serve to destroy the game. For my idea I would want each class to have its own end goal as well as outside of blue lions they was a mess. Claudes route feels like they just threw it together by randomly throwing those that slither in the dark and revived nemesis in it which one would of thought that would be apart of Edelgards. Now for me this is how each route should be in part one. For Edelgard it should focus more on those that slither in the dark and the churches wrongdoings. It would build up to her declaring war on the church while you learn more of how Rhea created the system to keep people in line. The more the chapters go the more you decided you hate the chruch as well as byleth feels disjointed in the routes when it comes to his/her feelings about it so adding emotion to it would help. For Dimitri's route it should have more to do with the tragedy of duscer and the rite of succession. The story will still showcase the unfair teachings of crest issues while having a more on screen opposition from Dimitri's uncle who was helped by Cornelia which was not shown as much in the story like she was in three hopes same with his uncle. Lastly Claude which should of had more with their savage neighbors, Holst, and his dream of traveling the world. It feels odd to me how disjoined some of the plot points for the three are given some of the stuff was thrown out for an all out fight.

    In its current structure, I think it would be pretty difficult to let the player try out each class in a way that feels satisfying. You used Fates as an example, but even in those games the player doesn't really get to play with the Nohrian side before having to choose, they just get Gunter and either Felicia or Jakob when in Nohr. And the story HEAVILY pushes you toward Hoshido.
    In Three Houses, they did sort of try to give players more information before they picked a house, forcing the player to first talk to all 3 house leaders, who can each give a short description of all the students within their respective houses. They also imply that each house has a specialty on the actual select screen, with eagles having magic, lions having melee weapons, and deer having bows.
    I'd argue that if you wanted to let the player try out each house firsthand and get to know them better before actually choosing one, there would have to be a bit of a narrative overhaul. However, if that's not possible, I would limit the the number of chapters each house gets to 1. Black Eagles would get chapter 2 (Byleth directly saves Edelgards life in chapter 1 and Edelgard shows up in a lot of loading screen tooltips), Blue Lions would get chapter 3 (it's most plot relevant to them), and Golden Deer would get chapter 4 (someone else mentioned uncovering schemes being Claude's thing + Death Knight for Lysithea). After chapter 4, the player would then choose which house they would like to teach.
    There's a couple reasons I'd argue against pushing the choice back to chapter 11. Each house would be better developed if allowed more time as Byleth's class during the academy phase, helping to establish them better as characters and to have something to compare to post-timeskip. The levelling issue wouldn't be as bad either since it's just 4 chapters total before choosing, so each class could start at the same level at the beginning of their respective chapter (though Byleth would end up overlevelled still). Also, if the house choice were pushed back to chapter 11 and the player wanted to pick Black Eagles, they'd immediately have to choose between Crimson Flower or Silver Snow, which feels very clunky. Imagine deciding that Byleth should teach the Black Eagles house and then immediately getting thrown into the decision of whether you want to protect or kill Edelgard. That'd be very strange, especially for a new player.
    For the levelling issue, I guess you could also attach each character's level to that of other characters in the other houses? So if you got Edelgard to level 5 in chapter 2, Dimitri would start at level 5 in chapter 3. And then if Dimitri got to level 8 in chapter 3, Claude would start off as level 8 in chapter 4. And then whichever house leader you chose would inherit whatever level Claude was at the end of chapter 4. But for all of the students (Hubert=Dedue=Hilda for example).
    Also, I think Yuri would bring the best future for Fodlan if he were leader.

    One thing I want to add because I think it would be hilarious
    You should be able to tutor the students from the class you’re with for that chapter during the intro that you described, and it would be great if they stuck with the path you set them up for if you override what they’re studying. It would be HELL to program and figure out, but dammit I want to fight against Bishop Felix!!!

    Currently starting on Three Hopes after just completing 100% of Three Houses 🙂
    As I’m adapting to the new gameplay, I notice that despite the camp features being so so so much more expanded than the monestary, it still doesn’t feel so much of a hassle since you can play the levels at your own pace and even REPLAY past battles since that couldn’t be possible in Three Houses (I know you technically can, but based on Three Houses gameplay, you can’t grind more once you land on the mission 😕), and I’m almost feeling like I’m playing the older FE games despite the changed gameplay 🙂
    I know this isn’t a Three Hopes video, I just wanted to comment the gameplay difference between the games 😆

    Okee underrated ships hmmm…
    -everyone ships Felix and Annette but I found Felix’s support conversations with Bernadetta funny and also found it funny how their voice actors are actually together in real life 😆 also find Annette and Ashe’s support conversations really sweet, aside seeing them together for a small moment from the game’s cutscene
    - I’m really split between Sylvain pairing with Ingrid or Mercedes; but what’s funny is that despite choosing to pair him with Ingrid… he ends up paired with Felix by the credits 😆 no regrets though
    -Aside being split of who to pair Mercedes with, I’m also split with Marianne, but in the end I would pair her with Ferdinand, though I commonly see others pair her with Dimitri, despite Dimitri paired with Byleth most popular.
    Aaaand that’s it can’t think of anything else 🙃

    Who would bring the best future? - He's not my favorite but it's Dimitri. It's been awhile so I may be misremembering. Claude survives in his route which allows for both of their dreams to come true. Claude's dream also sucks for Fodlan cause he just leaves but it's good if someone else is in charge.
    Underrated ships? Everyone loves Hanneman and Manuela so Ashe and Cyril are the cutest best friends.
    Who would be a good leader? Idk, a lot of them are bad but Ferdinand would make a good leader.

    Well, I am a maniac who has spent over 2800+ hours on Three Houses, something I do in case I want to replay a specific Part 2 is creating separate save files for all 4 routes before that point. But I end up replaying the whole game because it's just more fun that way.
    I think my two complaints about this game still are: how short Crimson Flower is (and how terrible they set its calendar) and Fishing (if you do it like I do and save all of your bait for Fistful of Fish/Fish of Mystery).

    I've seen better versions of this idea before. 2 chapters per house is not enough time to actually try out and get to know each house, and the distribution here is incredibly janky. Blue Lions getting no chapters in the last stretch of part 1 and having no access to the Golden Deer until chapter 6 is just awful.

    The problem with Fire Emblem is that 80% of the time you're running around the same map trying to find collectables be running around the same map seeing which students you can use the collectables on. It's such horrible horrible gameplay for what should be about the fights not about the banality.
