    good on you for doing it yourself, dealer wanted to charge me 12 hours labor to do my bars and cables, did it myself in 4.5 and saved a ton of money. I love your bars. well done

    I got the 8" pullback risers on my 14 Street Glide. I like them better than the straight 10" risers, easier on my shoulders and I can see the screen of my infotainment system. Good job, this is a job that you can do on your own. Done mine and my friend's setups for both our street glides. Definitely way better handling than apes.

    • @MichaelBertini
      @MichaelBertini  2 года назад +1

      I think about exactly this all the time. Sometimes I wish I got the pullbacks, because I'll get shoulder fatigue if I try to ride in a more relaxed, less involved position. The pullbacks might've been perfect for me. I'm still happy with mine, but I think I would've be happy with the setup you went with. 🤘🏼

    Hey bro great info! I read through all your comments and have a question. Why do you regret NOT going with the Pull back risers? I called Kraus to order my set and they suggested I go with either a pull back riser or a pull back plate but not both. They said using both it might bring the bars too close and give you a cramp feeling. I am same height as you and just want to make sure I've ordered the right set up. Do you recommend using both the Raptor and the 8" Pull back risers?
    Appreciate the help!

    I have the 10 inch on my 2020 SGS and what I will say is if all you are doing is going straight on the freeway then stock style bars are fine. But who wants to ride like that ? Get up in the canyons and go thru the turns and these bars handle so much better it's incredible.

    Now that you have added the T bars, and can see the top gauges. what is your viability on the infotainment screen?

    • @MichaelBertini
      @MichaelBertini  2 года назад

      So I removed the whole sound system off of the bike, see here: ruclips.net/video/Xbnp3AVV1is/видео.html
      I wasn't able to see it very well with the 8.5" risers, unfortunately. But, depending on your height you might be able to see it ok. I'm 6' 0" tall.

  • @ericjames7680
    @ericjames7680 2 года назад

    I was wondering what your Hieght is as I don't think you mentioned it and was wanting to know if I went with 10'' straight risers and the same bars you have at 5'7'' would I be able to see the gauges OK?

    • @MichaelBertini
      @MichaelBertini  2 года назад

      I'm 6' 0" and I went with the 8" risers fine. My only regret is not getting the pullback version of the risers.
      In terms of you being able to see the gauges at 5' 7" with 8" risers, I would say yes, but I'm no expert. I would call up Kraus and ask them.
      They are much more knowledgeable than me on the subject. 👍🏼

    • @MichaelBertini
      @MichaelBertini  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Cesar! 🤘🏼 You do lose a bit of visibility of the screen... about 60%. But you could get about 80% visibility if you sit up taller for second.
      I think the handling benefits made it worth it for me. Even if I lost some visibility of the screen. The performance gains are worth it.
