@@garycurtis6046go to owner section, than software. I would stay away from Apple PC and find a dell etc and use a thumb drive. Apple is weird when it comes too thumb drives.
Hi, I completely agree. I'm 57, after 40 years riding all kind of bikes, now I'm the proud owner of a SGS apex factory, and couldn't be happier. Thanks from Spain. 🇪🇸👍👍👍
Love it! 2018 Kawasaki Zed 900 & 2023 Harley soft tail standard in my stable. been riding since I was 15 and here we are at it at 68 still riding and working out. Thanks to you I am up to 43 push-ups from 14 because of one of your videos.Stay in the wind.👍👍👍
I’ve got a 95 and an 18. Different bikes for sure. Bought the 18 with 38,000 miles on it at a good price last winter. Have to roll on the throttle slowly to mimic my evo or it’s just a herky jerky take off. Thinking about making it my winter bike. Came with heated grips and the lack of a carb to warm up.
I've rented Street Glides for all of my rental rides (EagleRider) in the past 5 years in the US. I love the design and prefer the fork mounted bat wing faring over the Road Glide's frame mounted faring. All of the rentals have been 114's. The engine performance is more than adequate for my riding - and I don't resist using the gearing and horsepower to enhance the riding experience. The stock storage volume and electronics integration into the faring and hand controls are all excellent.
I’m 35, have been riding for almost 15 years now started off on sportbikes. I finally went out and got me a 22 Street Glide ST, I call it the money pit I fricken love this thing! First thing I did was put a D&D 2 into 1 and a tune on. Wow! Speechless! Actually just put some 14” dominator apes on today!! Thing is flawless! I can now enjoy it even more on those over 100+ mile trips it felt like I was Deebo riding a beach cruiser! Not anymore! Great video, appreciate you experiences and insight take care and have a great weekend!
Aymen's videos just keep getting better, and this is a classic example. I ride a 2015 Softail Slim, as a 'daily ride' because it's my 'work vehicle', complimented with a pair of Nelson Rigg NR400 saddlebags (2 x 8 litre), plus a 7.5 litre plastic ammo box from Evolution Gear strapped onto the 'Hollywood' handlebars (also doubles up as a fairing) with a Grunt silicone rubber strap from Bunnings, so I get just enough storage for work tools, a $7 roast chicken from Costco, a few cans of beer, a packet of sliced cheese from Aldi, some extra clothing and my music gear for when I jam with a band (5 Seydel harmonicas, a Greg Heumann custom built microphone and a Joyo 'Americian Sound' pedal). The engine is only a stage 1 (S/E Heavy Breather, Darryl Bassanie's Firesweep zorst & a FuelPak 3), but the best part of my bike are the Metzeler Cruisetec tyres. I love my bike so much that I can't sleep at night because all I want to do it get up in the morning and go for a ride. I never had that feeling with my Honda Z50A, or my GSX1100S, or my Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans III, or my TZ250 or my TRX850. Ride safe guys!!!!
I've been riding over 40 years and am currently riding an Indian Chieftain Dark horse 116, which is my everyday transport and touring/ camping, made many good friends over the years because of motorcycles!
68 year old Male in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma here.. just subscribed, first post.. I bought a 2015 Ultra Classic Low 2 years ago because I am vertical challenged.. 5'6" Being retired I bought an older Harley Davidson because I wanted to pay cash and have no payments, I paid about half of what a friend paid for a brand Street Glide a year ago. I bought an Ultra because I liked the looks of the motorcycle and because it has the most storage... I had a charging issue come up with my Harley about a year ago and then found out I could buy and extend warranty through Harley Davidson.. yes it was expensive but it was worth it... I had a major engine failure back in April of this year and since parts and labor were covered by the warranty I decided to pay a little out of pocket and get the Screaming Eagle stage 4 with the 103ci to 110ci... Well... it's been over 60 days and my dealership is still waiting on cylinders... originally told 45 days... But I was informed the other day that since it was brought to the attention of the factory that I have been waiting for so long i was bumped up on the list to receive them, and got a shipping date of 6/21... tomorrow.. so we'll see... I'm a little upset that I will end up missing almost 2.5 months of riding, but getting excited about having the upgraded engine...
Welcome to the channel. What you are experiencing seems to be happening with many brands across the world. You are going to love the stage 4 upgrade! Let me know what you think after you have ridden it
@2.0_brittt Oh yes... I love the new engine!!! Lots more torque and definitely a little louder.. But hated that my Harley was in the shop a total of 83 days...
Hot Rod Bagger pretty much sums up why I chose the Street Glide. Nice to have bags and detachable sissy bar and luggage rack for two up long rides. I have to be careful not to pull a wheelie when I twist the wick.
I have to think I am following in your path. When I bought my 2012 wide glide from the showroom floor, it just spoke to me. Raw, hard, real, classic HD. I loved and still love that bike (it's for sale now). I reached 55 and realized riding wasn't as fun because of the power with lighter weight, or the nimbleness of a BMX bicycle. The in town riding is fine if you like sitting at traffic lights more than you're riding. But longer highway rides with 80 MPH across your entire body and a hard seat on your old ass aren't as fun as they used to be. So I got myself something I would have never considered, in an Ultra Glide. 2014 model, but well cared for and I have been having a blast on it. Took some learning curve for sure, but the fairing, the seat, etc., have made it a whole new riding experience. Now...I got my Wide Glide ready for sale and took it for a spin and felt like it was TINY. And with the same 103 engine as the Ultra Glide, the difference in power was amazingly substantial. And handling was MUCH more nimble. But...like I said for all the reasons above, the Ultra Glide as well as the Street Glide and other fairing HD's, are a different experience and there are definitely many things to enjoy about real and actual riding from them. I won't overtake a challenger on the highway, but that rarely ever happened. However I do enjoy my riding experience every other mile I'm not looking to show off power or my riding skills. And that right there is worth it every day. Thank you for the video!
I bought Dyna FXDC 12, was not experienced in Harley but love them in a bits from child age. I had it for 3 years now and I like it so much. Yet this year I bought Softail Heritage 1996, and I love Harley even more now!!! Have safe rides everyone, two wheels down!!!
Great video, I went through the same thought processes when I picked up my Street Glide ST 117. I’m 6’3 and run the BadBoyz Cycles Freedom Reach Seat and backrest. It’s amazing. My Street Bob is my in town bike.
I couldn't agree more. I don't ride a Street Glide but they are the best looking and most "utilitarian". Someday my Heritage might grow up to be a Street Glide 🤔😎
Can always add a fairing to the heritage. I had looked into that when I had mine and saw one with one recently. Have since gone to ultra limited then road glide ultra ( shark nose)
Amen,I have a Sportglide FLSB 21 Model. I finally decided on the Sportglide Because I wanted an All Round Bike that is Versatile and predominantly performance oriented , Mine is No Real Slouch either with 107 horsepower from the 107 cu in which derives 125 ft Lb of Torque from Harbour City HD's Dyno
My first motorcycle was a 1969 Honda 360 Scrambler bought new. Sold when I left H.S. Fifty years later I just obtained a 2003 Road King Police because I wanted the style of big, black and chrome motorcycles I remembered from the 1960s. Love your channel.
Sportsters are very capable bikes. I’ve had 3 of them. I mainly ride a Street glide but still have an old 883. I put a Corbin seat + backrest on it + a windshield and saddlebags and took that sportster all over. Even though I’m 200 lb and 6’ tall.
The torque at your rear wheel comes from your selection. Put your bike in sixth gear and take off from a stop. "Hey, what happened to all my torquies?" The bits on the graph are marketing torques. It's what the dyno machine calculates from the rear wheel power & attributes to your crankshaft. Easy for the dyno to calculate. As there's no sensor connected from the dyno to your crankshaft, the best the dyno can do is calculate it based on the power at the rear wheel. Easy calculation, try it at home. At any given engine rpm, Power at rear wheel in hp = Engine crank Torque approximation in ft lbs * rpm/5252. If you want to find the Torque approximation from the Power, it's just Tq = 5252*Power/engine rpm. Power and torque ARE NOT two different things that occur at different points in the rpm range. In rotating systems, Tq and rpm are the components of Power, just as in electricity, current and voltage are components of power. I will never understand how gear heads got the silly notion that when they twist the throttle they feel Tq for a while then feel power. Such nonsense. When one twists their throttle, the only thing the human senses is acceleration. And there is nothing magical that happens at the peak crank Torque. If you shift at that rpm while your buddy winds his same bike out, you're going to get smoked. The reason crank torque is approximated is because people in the Marketing dept figured out it sounds much better to say my HD makes 139 approximated crank Torquies at 3k rpm than it does to say it makes 79 hp at the rear wheel at 3k rpm, but that's the reality. Bottom line is long stroke big twins make more rear wheel power at lower rpms than smaller short stroke engines. It's kinda offset by the fact HDs weight a short ton. That said, I like them too, but I didn't buy it because my primary concern with my bike was having the best one to collect speeding tickets on. I like the M8 engine because it's simple low maintenance, provides nice throb and burbling, and after 2020 are reliable AF. The power curve at the rear wheel tells you all the information there is to know about an engine's performance, period. And the peak power number they feed you is also Marketing dept BS. That is simply the power an engine provides at one particular rpm up near redline somewhere that few bikes are used much on the avg street ride. If you want a graphical abstraction of how engine outputs compare, simply overlay their power curves. The area under each curve is the total power they actually produce over their rev range.
Traded my 2021 Heritage Classic 107 in on a 2023 Street Glide with the 107 engine three weeks ago. Very happy with the bike. At 60 yrs old it has all the giddy up I need to haul me down the road. I had a 2019 Road King with the 107 before the Heritage, and found I missed the extra weight and stability of the touring platform on long highway rides. Between the SG and my 1994 BMW R1100RS, I've got all my riding requirements covered.
Did own 2013 Dyna FATbob and I purchased it due to the ride and looks. The arrangement a “drag bar”, forward controls felt great to me. Added it was denim black, loud chrome V&H 2 into 2 Big Radius exhaust. Looked great ( muscular) sounded great and rode great. I succumbed to dreamy eyes and 6 years and 35,000 kms later I found myself dreaming of an M8 Lowrider S. I had ridden a 2016 Dyna Lowrider S and the deal was not good enough for me to move on as I loved the FATbob so much I finally saw a good deal on an almost new 2021 Lowrider s and without even riding one I bought one. Well my wife bought it for me - with conditions 😂. Wow what a bike. Everything I saw and read was real. Power / torque / handling / looks / sound (2-1). So impressive. And it has forwards as I put them on and the pipe which was tuned at the dealer. So after 2 years of pressure and trying to ride two bikes I sold the Dyna earlier this year. I still miss it. My first real love for a bike BUT I needed to bite the bullet and honour the original deal I had made with my wife. It was a truely sad day when it went off down the street with all the accessories I no longer needed attached with originals but the truth is the Lowrider S is a effin beast and I really love it. I ride every day and sometimes that includes each day of a weekend and I’m fixated and sick. Speaking of sick I am recovering in a hospital after a major operation and I have been binging your excellent entertaining vids. I do not know when I will be able to put a helmet on again (hoping Nov ‘24 latest) and I really am missing riding. Pre op I went riding the last three days with a mate, with my son and two of his mates and then the last day solo. I did not know if I would survive the op as it was my first time under the knife and it was a 5 hour gig. Recovering well and will be good to go. Anyway you asked what we ride and I have rambled on. Thanks for the vids. It keeps me (we everybody I guess) entertained and keeps my mind off other matters.n
At the moment I have a stage four 07 Fatboy, I put throw over bags and a quick detach windshield. Having a blast with It! However I did road test a new Street Glide 114 , I love the platform and I can see myself getting one. I was lucky to talk the wife into going out for a ride on my Fatboy and she absolutely loved it. So a Street Glide is in the future for sure.
Currently have a Fatboy 114 stage 1 and more than happy with that. About to take delivery of a new, unregistered 2022 Black SG ST, which I got a really good deal on - traded in my old GS12. Absolutely love the look of the batwing fairing, and the analogue clocks. Think in the next couple of years HD will move to the large digital dash for all touring models, like in the new CVOs - but I personally prefer the mix of the two.
Interesting video 👍 I ride only Electraglide Standard bikes for the last 25 years. Just stock engine ( 88CI and 96CI ) and added some stuff for traveling long distance thru all those beautiful European country's. Until now the bike has seen 17 countries ! The reason for buying this bike was, it has no radio and other electronic crap, and I only wanted a mounted Garmin GPS ( 660 ) in the fairing. Most important, It had crashbars front AND rear, so dropping the bike don't messes up your saddlebags or exhaust. I can use the Harley soft lowers on the front crashbar for rainy or cold day's, and remove them ín a minute on hot days. The rear crashbar holds those crashbar bags for extra luggage. I have also those adjustable wind deflectors on the batwing fairing. One of my saddle bags can hold my small 6" windshield on top of the luggage inside my bag , so I replace the original larger windshield on arrival in a hot mediterranean country. I use a 4 point docking system for mounting a sissy bar and luggage rack, just for holding my travel bags. I use also a adjustable backrest. The bike is also fitted with a trailer hitch, so if needed I can pull a used 200 liter Honda Goldwing trailer behind the bike 😂 This bike original has still the two passinglamps on the fairing, and riding in the evening in the mountains these are a great thing to have. 🥳
my first bike was a dyna switchback... now I am on an electra glide ultra limited and I have only been riding for almost a year... started when I was 48 1/2... I chose the switchback because it felt comfortable to sit on and had some storage on it and it was a nice feel riding. changed up to the limited because I wanted to get a bit more storage and want to do some longer trips. It is my daily
I bought a '15 breakout, 3 years ago, i love the stretch riding position, but the wind fatigue is too much on long rides so i bought a 2023 street glide st. Even at only 5'-9", i felt cramped so i put frame mounted highway pegs and I'm good with that. I do like the 117 M8 and the throttle response on it.
I ride a 2017 Softail Slim S. This is my 2nd Harley. I call it my Road Princess since I added hard saddlebags with speakers and a front windshield. I like the fact the bike is lightweight but has some great pickup with the 110 engine. I also like the fact that I sit in the bike instead of on top of the bike.
2022 Road King Special. The M8 114 is smooth and powerful enough for me, especially upgrading from my 20 year old Vulcan. I like not having a fairing or windscreen so the Road King is perfect for me 👍 Great video mate
I have a 1991 softtail springer, stage 3 screaming eagle kit . And I installed foot boards in place of forward controls. And a 1992 Electra Glide Ultra Classic pretty much stock except exhaust cam adjustable push rods and upgraded lifters and valve springs. Absolutely love both. (And I still have my first big twin a 1978 flh I bought over 30 years ago, pulling the engine soon for a complete rebuild.)
I've been riding daily for 40+ years. I have 3 bikes at the moment. H.D. cvo ultra that is great for 2up touring, but a bit heavy and clumsy for daily commute. H.D. Fatboy with 18" apes. Awesome for heavy traffic and to and from work. H.D. 100 anniversary roadking classic. Low km's show bike. Perfect weekend cruiser.
My issue is the size thing. First time I sat on one I was surprised by how small it was. I felt like the test ride was pointless because I was so uncomfortable. With the stock bars and only having sport bike experience, it felt very awkward. That said, years later I want a street glide haha!
I started riding 3 years ago. Always loved Harleys and when my wife said “If you’re going to ride a motorcycle, you’re riding a Harley.” What was I gonna do? Argue? Got a sporty and after a year, traded in for my ‘21 FXLRS with the 114. The engine is fairly stock. Mufflers, quickly made my own external breather system with a drill and some hose, (works great Btw) that’s it so far for the engine. Still feels great to my tastes. Very quickly put a Memphis shades RW fairing on her, a backrest, two up seat and some thrashin saddle bags for storage. At 54 I gotta keep the wind off my chest and have some storage. The 2up seat was for the wife but she doesn’t care for motorcycles anymore. Oh, I put some 6” Biltwell Murdock risers on her and extended the cables and such. Still have some more I’d like to do eventually, including a stage 2 at some point. Probably as far as I’ll take the engine. Not trying to make it a hot rod or anything and a good stage 2 on that bike will be plenty fun. Ride on, ride safe! Stay alive and out of the hospital.
Just bought a new to me 2017 CVO Street Glide and I can’t wipe the grin off my face! Beautiful bike to which I’ve added a stage 2 Fuel Moto CR480 cam - now getting 124.5 HP and 123 ft lbs torque which delivers all the grunt I need smoothly and effortlessly.
I never thought about the street glide but it definitely is growing on me it ticks all the boxes as a weekend cruiser for the wife and I as much as I love the 117 breakout and I am 46 and I think your 100 percent correct My current ride is a heavily modified 2013 Suzuki boulevard c109rt
Started riding a 2002 Fatboy in February of 2002. It was the perfect bar hopper back in the day. Almost 23 years later now and I am still riding it although I stopped bar hopping years ago. I am aching to get on a Harley-Davidson Touring model, preferably an Ultra Limited for the storage and style, as soon as I can afford it.
I ride a soft tail classic, swapped the spokes for mags and added clip on batwing It's got an 88 with a little bit extra and a good tune one the injectors. Very forgiving set up. Lots of feel on the power and torque.
I have nothing against the Street Glide. It's just in my neck of the woods in the US everyone and their dog has a black Street Glide. Currently I have a '22 Gauntlet Gray Road King standard and I have not seen another one like it around these parts, which is very handy when parked amongst a sea of bikes. Cheers! 🍻
Im on my 4th harley and its my first black harley. 22 sgs in denim. But..... i bought it to do a custom paint job with.... i have zero issues messing with the paint on a black harley. They are everywhere.
❤ I love the video. My wife and I have a 2018 Ultra Limited. I also used to do the backpack bike situation. Honestly don't think anybody could pay me enough to go back to doing that after I got this. Thank you for the video
Street Glide all the way! Got a 2008 that I've modified a good bit. As appealing as those new models/engines are, I'm just not ready to send Nellie to the pasture.
I built my Road Glide to my tastes and painted it to my liking! Only problem I have is, it's a 2000 Road Glide Screamin Eagle. I'm stuck with 95 cubic inches and a 5 speed so most of the time when I'm runnin' with my friends, my tach is up to 4000 rpm, and although my engine seems to like the higher rpms, I know it's stressing out the engine. This year going to Sturgis, my trans got stuck in 1st gear in Fairfield, Idaho and I had to get a box truck and bring her back home! This time I'm going to add a few more teeth to the engine sprocket so I can keep up with the 6 speeds. I was using twice the gas everyone else was using! As far as the looks of the SG and the RG, I like them both! In fact I put a 18 by 3" mag wheel up front with kind of a fat tire, so it has the SG look up front but with the early style RG fairing and changed all my lights over to LEDs.
Also.... the easiest way to get the nut back up under the fender (without removing the tire...LOL) is using a long zip tie. Place the zip tie through the nut then work the zip tie up under the fender into the hole. MUCH easier than fishing line or string.....
I currently own a 22 road Glide Limited CVO, and a 23 Ultra Limited. The Roads Glide Limited is my favorite. My 4th one, and counting. My 9th Harley, and owned 2 Hondas.
I'm 6'4" 250# wear 36 x 36 pants. I have an Ultra Limited that i usually ride with the trunk off and a stock SG seat. I have highway pegs but don't use them for anything less than 30 min ride or if its really hot out. I haven't had to alter my bike ergonomically to accommodate my height. The Limited has the lowers that come in handy most of the year. On my older Ultras I'd take the lowers off in the mid summer until I hit a grasshopper swarm. Now even if I could remove them I wouldn't. The Limited also has a longer suspension travel. Since the trend isn't low and long, but rather the higher ground clearance performance look, my bike looks normal with the rearend up. The Limited gives you best of both worlds if you don't mind the lower fairing/radiators.
The seat bolt on my streetglide seat also comes loose and I’ve also lost a couple of the over time however I’ve just gotten into the habit of screwing it in tight every time I’m going to climb on for a ride. Great video, thanks! Be safe out there!
Have an 07 Street Bob. Originally picked because it reminded of the bikes the older guys were riding when I was a kid. Now I am looking at upgrading to a Street Glide.
I have a 22 street glide standard with the 107. Traded my KTM 1290 for it. I love the Harley. Especially after the suspension and seat upgrade. I have no need to do exhaust or anything as of now. I like it quiet. My 1290 was loud!
2016 Road Glide Ultra. I'm 6'4 290 pound built like an inside linebacker 52 year old. The Street Glide felt like a tiny scooter bike . My Road Glide gave me more space . With 14" apes and tall man seat I was very comfortable. I literally rubbed the stock handle bars on my leg when I rode my friends Street Glide. He said I looked hell of funny on it . I agreed after seeing the pics.
Hmm the street glide and road glide are the exact same bike except for the front fairing ? The difference with ultra is it comes with extras like trunk etc … not sure why one would seem smaller then the other.
Just traded my 2021 street glide special for a 2023 fat Bob. I love the street glide, but my style of riding has changed recently and for the time that I have and the roads that I can ride right now, the fat Bob suits me really well. I do miss the creature comforts of the touring bike no doubt, but I do love the punch in the road feel that I get from the fat Bob.
Fav bike is Street Glide Special, Rushmore edition. HO 103, bigger front forks, nice radio w/ GPS. I think Ill be stuck on that model forever as It has all the tech and power Id ever need.
2013 FLHP RoadKing Police, it’s stripped down no electronics which has pros & cons. I bought this bike because I don’t see many HD police bikes on the road & its a little different. Put the seat time in you’ll be rewarded fun bikes with road presents I find necessary.
I bought my first harley about a month ago. As i said on here a 2007 fatboy 96 stage 1. I road it for about 2 weeks. Wasnt really keen on it. Not much get up and go and for me, not too comfortable. So i sold it and bought a 22 heritage softail classic with the 114 stage 1. The dealer gave me the bike for the day . Road it for about 4 hours. Found it very comfortable. Great torque and power. I’m not a fairing guy(whatever that is). I liked the mini apes . Found them very comfortable. Love the sound from the reinharts. 12:53 Anyway, at my age, this will be my last bike. I love the blacked out look. Anyway, i like power and speed. 75, Old not Dead.
I'm on a Street Glide but still have a Heritage softail. I love riding them both. The glide super smooth and stable and eats up the miles. I rode Melbourne to Hervey Bay QLD the week I bought the SG. Got it's first service done on the Sunshine coast on the way. You don't notice the weight of the touring chassis until you switch back to the softail chassis. After riding the SG for a while and switching back to the heritage it feels so nimble and light even though it's a 317KG bike
2019 Ultra. 19 was the last year of the Ultra as they dropped it about the middle of the model year and they kept the Ultra Limited. I like to ride without the Lower fairings as I’m 6”3’ and they get in the way of my feet. Can’t take the Lowers off of a limited because of the water cooled heads. Love this Harley! And it’s a stock 107 and I think it has plenty of power. Runs great.
After riding quite a few Harleys last year, i decided on The 22 Breakout. Love the look, style and riding position of this bike. Happy so far, after like you said....modify and customize the riding position and comfort of the bike to suit. Maybe next bike will be a tourer with all the bells and whistles! Another very informative and enjoyable video. Ride safe mate! 😎
Rode a Road king for 17 years. Bought and still have a 2019 Road Glide CVO 117.....And just bought a 2023 Street Glide CVO 121.....In all the bikes I've ridden this Street Glide is far and away the best I've ever ridden. My Road Glide is great, but I test rode a friends Street glide for a short distance and immediately did indeed feel it was more nimble. Then I test rode a good friends Street Glide 131 and rode it for several miles and it was incredible yet AGAIN I immediately noticed just how nimble the bike felt and THAT was when I knew i wanted one.
Im 6'4 I only find my SG cramped if riding 2 up with the mrs, I noticed in the image of your bike towards the end of the video, you havent got highway pegs fitted. I thought it was an old man thing but Im 39 and love em. After owning a Breakout as you stated- wind fatigue killer. Reason I got my SG a few years back was right price right time. As long as your happy with your bike thats all that matters. No point in spending money you dont have to impress people you dont know
I’ve been on a bike with a 114 since 2019. I also had a Low Rider S with the 117 and the Pan America with its new engine. I’ve been well pleased with all.
I ride a Yamaha Bolt. Primarily because I couldn't afford a Harley at the time, but ive grown to love it. Great fun in the twistys, but i think I'm ready for a bit more touring capability....
2017 Street Glide Special, in HardCandy Hottod Red Flake custom!!! It’s the best now better with the stage 2 torque cam, and the 900 watt boom2 infotainment system. Hate the boom2 but I love the bike.
I was riding a 2005 Honda VTX Neo which is a great bike, but when riding two up and even with a custom seat, it wasn't as comfortable as I wanted. I test drove a BMW Grand America, a Honda Goldwing and both with their location of foot controls or foot position, gave me a cramp in my hip. I also test rode a Yamaha Star Venture and it was the most comfortable and it had great weight distribution but it was a dog when it came to power, and it like the BMW and the Goldwing had tons of plastic and with adjustable windshields rattled going over bumps. I also drove an Indian Roadmaster like the Yamaha with forward foot controls it had a comfortable riding position but there was a ton of vibration at the hand controls and the adjustable windshield rattled going over bumps. I then tried a Street Glide and I was amazed at how smooth and how the motor pulled. I hadn't owned a Harley since the 90's when I had a FLH. Yet because the Street Glide was lacking a few comfort features like the tour pak and a decent seat I bought an Ultra Limited. Tho the Ultra didn't sit as low as the Street Glide it has to me a greater lean angle due to the way it sits. NO BIKE in my opinion comes the way you want it and you are always going to spend money on upgrades. I love power and speed, but at 69 years of age I want power but mostly comfort. Harley had the best fit and finish of all the bikes I rode. Unfortunately Harley and their production parts are not reliable in my opinion. After doing a bit of research I came to the conclusion that there can be some abnormal wear in parts like lifters, leaky gaskets and even leaky exhaust seats in the heads on the M8's. I have almost ten thousand dollars in small item upgrades, like the seat, handlebars, foot pegs and the stereo. I have installed digital gauges and next and very soon the motor is going to go to be rebuilt and blueprinted and mated with a 7 speed baker transmission, along with new exhaust that doesn't include a catalytic converter. I also have installed a hitch so I can pull a cargo trailer for long trips, because you can't pack enough in the saddlebags or tour pak for a month long cross country trip unless you want to stop and wash your clothes and slow your trip. When it is all said and done I will have over 70,000 dollars in the bike and like anything else, there are no guarantees on whether or not it is gonna break somewhere on the road, but I will have more confidence in it than if it were stock, AND the bike will fit me and my riding style.
Bikes I own and ride ,1991 softail custom , 93 Fat boy with a sidecar , 2010 fat bob, 2013 ultra glide , and a 2014 breakout , got a 23 breakout in my bucket list lol , man can never have too many toys
There is a new seat/saddlebag locking system that looks like a great design. Saw it on Volenteer Audio. Bentley is the name I’m pretty sure. Waiting on a set of 3. Seat and one for rack bag. 2017 SGS. Wasn’t going to pull the trigger, but that Superior Blue grew on me!!! Lol My first black and blue bike! Enough chrome to set it all off.
Seat Bolt. I use plumbers thread tape around the bolt and everything stays secure. My Dyna shook like they do, and it never came out. I had a nice bolt stolen once when parked and since I use thread tape EVERY TIME I put the seat back on no issues. Hope this helps it all staying together.
i just bought a street glide ST tried my old street glide , the difference is incredible! My question I think I would like to do the cams ...as a female people are saying no I don't need it but I think I have 3000km and when passing I feel I need more torque....and this puppy can corner sooooo good!
Only one cam on the m8 bikes and well worth doing. Not sure why people are saying you don't need it as a "female"? Lol, no one needs it, but it will be fun. Maybe your friends don't want you on a "faster than them bike"
I bought a 2018 ultra limited in the denim gray and black the wife and I ride long distance usually 2 to 3 weeks on vacations so we like the storage plus comfort
On the road, I love the big baggers... Too me, a thumping V-Twin is the way to ride, add to it the comfort & convenience and laid-back performance of a bagger.. just point me down the road and I'm going anywhere in style 😎. I do my touring on 2013 Victory Cross Country. Off-road, give me a ripping, light weight 2stroke covered in dirt and mud with some tight, challenging single track to ride ... I do this on a 2022 KTM 250XCw
When I went looking for my first Harley after parking the GPz1100 B2 for fifteen something years I wanted something that was different to what everybody else was riding out here (Fatboys, Fatbobs, Breakouts, Heritage etc.) it took me about nine months to find something that wasn't black, like everything else. I found an '02 RoadKing in a custom green paint scheme and I've not looked back, in fact I've put around 100K on the clock and its still going. Didn't stop me from going out and grabbing a '14 SuperGlide when the opportunity came and I'd challenge you to have a go on the SuperGlide with the Mid controls, at 6'2" I find it a very comfortable position and the seat doesn't pound my arse. When you come up to Interview Tony and view his stable of Hogs we'll catch up.
I got a 2019 Hurley Davidson had it Dino. It's about a 100 horsepower in a 126 pounds of dork. I love it you know that's more numb than a street guide.
I ride a 2017 CVO Streetglide... I have had the motor "fettled" with a cam, larger throttle bodies, cat delete and bigger headers and Screaming Eagle pipes as well as a tuner... Power increase was 40% and torque increased by 52%. I also changed the bars to a set of custom "ape hangers".... She is now fast, comfortable and a beauty.... The only downside is that I wanted to upgrade the Boom Audio 2 system to a Rockford Fosgate system. Harley told me that this was possible on all the systems before the Boom Audio 2 and the systems after, but cannot be done on that specific system, because the ABS is integrated into the circuitry....Bummer!
I have a 93 Softail Custom, wanted a cruiser . I ended up with a Honda Goldwing I would love to hear what you think of them. Thank you, God bless, be safe ALWAYS

2019 48, that's my beast and I'm slowly working on making it into a Cafe racer. It's great for around town, but the tank is a little small. The only real down side, that I've found.
I'm old enough to remember what the t-shirts were about. You paid your $10, got a shirt and that was your ticket into a party a week or 2 later. Nobody cared what anyone rode in on as long as it wasn't in a cage. My last bike was a Harley and the old shop closed and the new shop was a boutique where they sell an image. What they're doing now with going woke is worse than AMF. Just my opinion though.
@@bobg8378Have to agree 😂. Harley will wrap there arms and legs around anything. To sell a bike. Sturgis was interesting this year. Everyone Boycotted Budweiser so bad. They packed up and left town. At the same time Budweiser cans, brandished Harley's Shield on it. Makes a guy feel great. That Harley is making a statement, their owners may not support. But are forced to, by riding their image. It's easy to shoot up beer cans, and move on. Didn't see anyone shooting up their $40,000 Harley. Made me and my woman glad, we rode Ktm's to the party. Harley folk didn't wanna talk to us. Unless we initiated conversation, but whatever 😂. We still has a great time. I support everyone's decision, to do whatever they want. Don't force it down my throat. Companies need to keep their opinions, to themselves. For everything. Build your shit, sell it for it is.... It's really is that simple.

LOC TIGHT ON THE NUT, THE GPS JUST NEEDS A SOFTWARE UPDATE. YOU SHOULD BE DOING THAT PROBABLY ONCE PER YEAR.
Ok, will try to this weekend.

Thanks for watching, appreciated
Great to hear you are doing pushups and thanks for watching
I Don't need more power, I'm old school,my best times was late 70's 80's ,, love the old school construction of the Evo
They sound great!!
Thanks for the comment. Great point about using the gears
Let the DESERT WIND lead you to your next adventure. 😉
Thanks, much appreciated and great bike that you have!
Thanks that's much appreciated
Sportster here and love it! It sounds better than any other bike. My opinion of course. I like it’s simplicity.
Thanks they do sound great
Right on! I am blown away to see that I won! Thank you Aymen and Thanks for the great content!

I've been riding over 40 years and am currently riding an Indian Chieftain Dark horse 116, which is my everyday transport and touring/ camping, made many good friends over the years because of motorcycles!
Cool, hope you are loving the bike!
@@OldNotDead-Club which I'd bought a bagger years ago, quite rare here in the UK
68 year old Male in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma here.. just subscribed, first post..
I bought a 2015 Ultra Classic Low 2 years ago because I am vertical challenged.. 5'6"
Being retired I bought an older Harley Davidson because I wanted to pay cash and have no payments,
I paid about half of what a friend paid for a brand Street Glide a year ago.
Nice!
Thanks for watching, I had a wide glide once too, loved it but i could never get it just right.
Batwing fairing on the street glide is gorgeous. I have the sport glide with the mini batwing , fantastic bike
I love it!
I bought Dyna FXDC 12, was not experienced in Harley but love them in a bits from child age. I had it for 3 years now and I like it so much. Yet this year I bought Softail Heritage 1996, and I love Harley even more now!!! Have safe rides everyone, two wheels down!!!
Thanks for watching
Great video, I went through the same thought processes when I picked up my Street Glide ST 117. I’m 6’3 and run the BadBoyz Cycles Freedom Reach Seat and backrest. It’s amazing. My Street Bob is my in town bike.
Thanks for watching and great that you have two Harley's
Welp I think you sold me. Going to go out and get one this summer. Happy riding.
Have fun!
I couldn't agree more. I don't ride a Street Glide but they are the best looking and most "utilitarian". Someday my Heritage might grow up to be a Street Glide 🤔😎
Lol, the heritage is awesome
Can always add a fairing to the heritage. I had looked into that when I had mine and saw one with one recently. Have since gone to ultra limited then road glide ultra ( shark nose)
@@tledford2006 Unfortunately it's more about passenger comfort than anything else. The wifey gets wiggly after more than an hours ride, lol

Thanks for watching, you can certainly make the 107 move!
My first motorcycle was a 1969 Honda 360 Scrambler bought new. Sold when I left H.S. Fifty years later I just obtained a 2003 Road King Police because I wanted the style of big, black and chrome motorcycles I remembered from the 1960s. Love your channel.

Sportster 883. Adding a large tank, touring seat and detachable bags plus windshield.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the detailed response, a lot of people will appreciate your explanation
Very nice!
I had ridden a 2016 Dyna Lowrider S and the deal was not good enough for me to move on as I loved the FATbob so much
I finally saw a good deal on an almost new 2021 Lowrider s and without even riding one I bought one.
Thanks for watching, stage 4 Fat Boy is awesome
@@OldNotDead-Club thank you for that. She's a hell raiser, for sure!
You have two great bikes!
Thanks for watching. The Evo's seem to last a long time and have proven to be reliable and easy to work on.
my first bike was a dyna switchback... now I am on an electra glide ultra limited and I have only been riding for almost a year... started when I was 48 1/2... I chose the switchback because it felt comfortable to sit on and had some storage on it and it was a nice feel riding. changed up to the limited because I wanted to get a bit more storage and want to do some longer trips.
Totally agree
I ride a 2017 Softail Slim S. This is my 2nd Harley. I call it my Road Princess since I added hard saddlebags with speakers and a front windshield. I like the fact the bike is lightweight but has some great pickup with the 110 engine. I also like the fact that I sit in the bike instead of on top of the bike.
I have two friends with the Softail Slim S, beautiful bike. Thanks for watching
I always liked sitting in the bike rather than on top of it. I had a 1999 Fatboy, probably the best handling Harley of the five I've had.
2022 Road King Special. The M8 114 is smooth and powerful enough for me, especially upgrading from my 20 year old Vulcan.
I like not having a fairing or windscreen so the Road King is perfect for me 👍

My issue is the size thing. First time I sat on one I was surprised by how small it was. I felt like the test ride was pointless because I was so uncomfortable. With the stock bars and only having sport bike experience, it felt very awkward. That said, years later I want a street glide haha!
Lol yep, you have to make adjustments
Roadglide is bigger feeling
@@marklevasseur1373 They both feel about the same to me. Where the fairing is really doesn't do anything for my legs.
Thanks for watching and commenting, stay safe
I too choose this man's wife!
Enjoy the ride and thanks for watching
I never thought about the street glide but it definitely is growing on me it ticks all the boxes as a weekend cruiser for the wife and I as much as I love the 117 breakout and I am 46 and I think your 100 percent correct
My current ride is a heavily modified 2013 Suzuki boulevard c109rt
Started riding a 2002 Fatboy in February of 2002. It was the perfect bar hopper back in the day. Almost 23 years later now and I am still riding it although I stopped bar hopping years ago. I am aching to get on a Harley-Davidson Touring model, preferably an Ultra Limited for the storage and style, as soon as I can afford it.
I ride a soft tail classic, swapped the spokes for mags and added clip on batwing
It's got an 88 with a little bit extra and a good tune one the injectors. Very forgiving set up.
Lots of feel on the power and torque.
Sounds great, way to go!
Cheers! 🍻
Lol great point. There are a few black street glides around here too - but not so many that you need to change colour. The RK is an awesome bike

For the seat nut use Blue Loctite and that will prevent from coming loose, but still be able to remove it when needed (do NOT use the Red Loctite 😊)
Lol, thanks I have both
Also.... the easiest way to get the nut back up under the fender (without removing the tire...LOL) is using a long zip tie.
Great bikes, thanks for watching
Good points thanks, I do put soft/detachable lowers on for a couple of months a year.. about now actually.
The seat bolt on my streetglide seat also comes loose and I’ve also lost a couple of the over time however I’ve just gotten into the habit of screwing it in tight every time I’m going to climb on for a ride.
Great video, thanks!
Be safe out there!
Thanks for watching
Have an 07 Street Bob. Originally picked because it reminded of the bikes the older guys were riding when I was a kid. Now I am looking at upgrading to a Street Glide.
Thanks you will love the upgrade
Nice. I have a 21 street bob and just bought a 11 street glide. Kept the bob tho 😎
I changed from my 2013 road king to 2015 Rushmore street glide was the best bike ever owned. I am currently riding a 2023 roadglide love it as well
Thanks for sharing!
I have a 22 street glide standard with the 107. Traded my KTM 1290 for it. I love the Harley. Especially after the suspension and seat upgrade. I have no need to do exhaust or anything as of now. I like it quiet. My 1290 was loud!
Good choice! Yeah the noise can wear you down
2016 Road Glide Ultra.
Lol yep us big guys need big bikes
@@OldNotDead-Club The bigger the better .
Great bike, thanks for watching
I get this. My arthritis is becoming an issue pushing my RG around, rode a Fatbob and am in love. 380kg vs 300kg does make a difference 😂
Fav bike is Street Glide Special, Rushmore edition. HO 103, bigger front forks, nice radio w/ GPS. I think Ill be stuck on that model forever as It has all the tech and power Id ever need.
Thanks great bike
Best Harley SG ST. Comfort, power, handling. So addictive riding it. It's just so heavy compare to the breakout.
Thanks, check out my video about it
2013 FLHP RoadKing Police, it’s stripped down no electronics which has pros & cons.
I bought this bike because I don’t see many HD police bikes on the road & its a little different. Put the seat time in you’ll be rewarded fun bikes with road presents I find necessary.
Thanks for watching - we don't have the model here in Australia
Thanks for watching, great to see you are riding in your 70's
I have had Suzuki honda Triumph and BMW but now I have a 2004 Road King classic, love it love the feel of solid
Love the RK thanks for watching
I'm on a Street Glide but still have a Heritage softail. I love riding them both. The glide super smooth and stable and eats up the miles. I rode Melbourne to Hervey Bay QLD the week I bought the SG. Got it's first service done on the Sunshine coast on the way. You don't notice the weight of the touring chassis until you switch back to the softail chassis. After riding the SG for a while and switching back to the heritage it feels so nimble and light even though it's a 317KG bike
Thanks, yeah its amazing how you get used to it. I jump on a Fat Boy and it feels like a toy
@@OldNotDead-ClubI have a 03 Fatboy, love it.. but I'm gearing towards an SG for my next cycle.
Runs great.
Thanks I have the same problem with the lowers. I use the sift lowers in winter they are ok
Great looking bike!
21 roadgliude because I love it mate!and your not just playing games!
Great bike!
No point in spending money you dont have to impress people you dont know
Thanks for watching. No highway pegs because with my seat (im pushed back) I can't reach them very well and don't seem to need them
I’ve been on a bike with a 114 since 2019. I also had a Low Rider S with the 117 and the Pan America with its new engine. I’ve been well pleased with all.
Bit the bullet and got my first SG last year and absolutely love it! Made to crush miles in comfort.
Spot on thanks for watching
I ride a Yamaha Bolt. Primarily because I couldn't afford a Harley at the time, but ive grown to love it. Great fun in the twistys, but i think I'm ready for a bit more touring capability....
I personally think you can have fun on any bike, thanks for watching
18 SGS I've converted into an Ultra for long rides
05 Heritage Softail for intermediate rides
07 Hot rodded Sportster for the thrills
Excellent
I LOVE my 2023 street glide special! Adore it.
2017 Street Glide Special, in HardCandy Hottod Red Flake custom!!! It’s the best now better with the stage 2 torque cam, and the 900 watt boom2 infotainment system. Hate the boom2 but I love the bike.
Nice bike and paint!
Good content bloke!
A lot of life experience there , thanks for sharing.
Thanks much appreciated
93 fatboy. Absolutely love the looks and the feeling of the raw power and open feeling. Reminds me of being a kid again.
Great bike, wish I kept my original Fat Boy
@@OldNotDead-Club so it's my favorite bike. Gives you the tingles but that's just part of the feeling of raw torque!
Thanks, looks like you are set for some great adventures
I Plan on a cross country trip next summer after I save some money to spend on gas.@@OldNotDead-Club
Hi I ride a 2015 roadking , great video I have thought about the street glide great help thank you. Scott from england
Thanks for watching Scott
Bikes I own and ride ,1991 softail custom , 93 Fat boy with a sidecar , 2010 fat bob, 2013 ultra glide , and a 2014 breakout , got a 23 breakout in my bucket list lol , man can never have too many toys
I want to move into your garage lol

There is a new seat/saddlebag locking system that looks like a great design. Saw it on Volenteer Audio. Bentley is the name I’m pretty sure. Waiting on a set of 3. Seat and one for rack bag. 2017 SGS. Wasn’t going to pull the trigger, but that Superior Blue grew on me!!! Lol My first black and blue bike! Enough chrome to set it all off.
Thanks. What's wrong with the saddle bag locking system on the baggers?
2016 CVO Street Glide and a 1997 Harley Bad Boy. Great video!
Thanks, you have two of my favourite bikes, awesome
Had 90 sporty upgraded to a 2020 glide love it don't miss the small bike on the highway for sure
I like people who talk common sense. Besides that, I ride a Street Glide special as I like the bike's look; for me, it is a typical Harley Davidson 👍
Thanks for watching
I own a 1986 xlh1200 budget bobbed ,it was cheap and all I can afford
All bikes are good, at least you are on 2 wheels
My newest bike is a 2002
2019 Street Glide Special - Barracuda Silver. I love my bike!
thanks, awesome bike
I bought a 2018 ultra limited in the denim gray and black the wife and I ride long distance usually 2 to 3 weeks on vacations so we like the storage plus comfort
Thanks, awesome bike
I ride a limited with street glide wheels...took the old man look right out of the picture...Handles and rides great
Thanks for watching, great idea!
Thanks for watching, sounds like you have a lot of fun.
Thanks, can you jump on the web site and flick me an email about this as a reminder please. www.OldNotDead.Club
Thank you for the observations on beauty and harmony.

I got a 2019 Hurley Davidson had it Dino. It's about a 100 horsepower in a 126 pounds of dork. I love it you know that's more numb than a street guide.
Thanks for watching
Roadking lover here
Great bike!
Thanks for watching - glad you like the Street Glide
I have a 93 Softail Custom, wanted a cruiser . I ended up with a Honda Goldwing
I would love to hear what you think of them. Thank you, God bless, be safe ALWAYS
Tried to buy a gold wing once, the dealers here made it impossible. Honda's are always good, excellent actually but character less in my opinion.
Ive owned:
(2) ZX6
Harley Road King
R6
Rebel 1100T
Harley V-Rod
Triumph Tiger

Currently wanting to trade the Triumph for a Street Glide

2019 48, that's my beast and I'm slowly working on making it into a Cafe racer. It's great for around town, but the tank is a little small. The only real down side, that I've found.
Thanks
Saddlebags are great for carrying all that Bud Light as you ride from the Garth Brooks bar down to the local Target
Lol what do you ride?
I'm old enough to remember what the t-shirts were about. You paid your $10, got a shirt and that was your ticket into a party a week or 2 later. Nobody cared what anyone rode in on as long as it wasn't in a cage. My last bike was a Harley and the old shop closed and the new shop was a boutique where they sell an image. What they're doing now with going woke is worse than AMF. Just my opinion though.
They’re great for stuffing pansy ass butt-boys into after you get done whompin’ their arses for being full of packed shyte too.
@@bobg8378you are worrying to much about an image, ride what you like, don't worry what others think.
