⚖ Totally agree with Dr. Grande unexpert layman's observation.
Also, in my opinion, the sentence Sean Foley was given is too lenient, it's unjust. If Sean felt there was danger, call the police. This didn't need to happen.
😥 I don't understand how a judge would give Sean custody of an infant. He is a violent criminal. Also disgusted with Miranda's mother, who failed to protect her child and continued be in a relationship with man accused of SA. And then 2 grandkids were living in the home with a suspected abuser ... this family is toxic.
The only thing I disagree on - did Miranda really "consent" to have relations with Jimmy? She is an adult, so legally that appears so. But Jimmy had a position of power over Miranda. Further, if Miranda was abused as a child by Jimmy, she would continue to be vulnerable. Maybe had a trauma bond? Trapped in a cycle of abuse? Plus she was dependant on Jimmy for a place to live... I just don't see this as real consent. Thoughts?

How , how, how, how, how does Jimmy get to act in self defence when a gun is pointed at him, but the kid shot by the grandmother in the earlier vid was not justified. In that one, the grandmother held the gun and Dr Grande's logic was that after she aimed the gun at the boy, him attacking her afterwards justified her shooting him. She was defending herself. But in this case, Jimmy was justified to act in self defence when a gun was pointed at him. How can these things coexist? Jimmy was okay to respond to the boyfriend pointing the gun at him, THAT is self defence. But the grandson responding in the same way in the last video was grounds for her to execute him. I do not understand. Either its okay to defend yourself when someone points a gun at you or it isn't. Sure the kid was a punk, but Jimmy was paying to f**k his step daughter. If its a pure morality thing as in "Hey when someone is a scumbag and unarmed and someone points a gun at them, if they react violently, its self defence for the person with the gun" how then does the kid being a punk not apply to Jimmy being a punk? I don't get it. Why is it okay if Jimmy acted in self defence (I dont think he did, the boyfriend is lying to justify his actions) how is it not okay that the grandson reacted in self defence with a gun pointed at him? ( I dont think he did, I think the grandmother is lying).

Her stepfather had been ab*sing her since she was a child and/or at the very least grooming and exploiting her since she was 19. She went on to become a s*x worker which is a very common trauma response. Yes, technically speaking if she wanted to accept payment from her stepfather specifically in exchange for that kind of favours she was legally allowed, but the question of free will and definitions of danger are extremely dubious in this case imo. I don't know if the killing itself was simply out of jealousy - I don't think it could ever be "just" that, considering the step family relationship - but either way this is a very tragic story in which there's no way the victim wasn't the author of the situation to some capacity.

Hell, even women that work office jobs are too promiscuous for marriages that last until death nowadays. Maybe by the current 'law', he is guilty, but what Sean did was a moral act. His girlfriend was being raped by her abuser from almost a decade, Sean saw the sexual abuse happen before his eyes and he performed an act to subdue the perpetrator from continuing to perform rape upon his longterm victim. A good lawyer could've defended Sean, in my opinion; however I am just a layman. It makes sense why she would say 'stop' to Sean, having been brainwashed/groomed since she was a child by the same man raping her in that moment.

Ignoring that and dismissing it as consensual, calling the stepfather a client, shows a lack of depth of analysis of the complex traumas at play.
