If so, we'll have to pay to incarcerate a lot more people, and we'll have to build more prisons (unless we stop incarcerating so many nonviolent drug offenders). And when we convict and incarcerate an innocent person, it will be a much bigger mistake.

To the extent that any offenders "learn their lesson" in our punishment-focused prison system, our prison system doesn't change sex offenders' sexual desires or behavior. And I don't think rehabilitation would be very effective, either. We're in a tough situation. But I don't think that we can make significant improvement by continuing to do what we've been doing. And that includes treating sex offenders too much like other offenders. Maybe some other countries have developed more effective approaches.

If they could choose to remain outside the industry or have sex with distasteful men many women will choose the latter… and they won’t have that opportunity if they’re chaperoned. The man called me a day before the "audition" and asked me whether my mother was around. When I told him that she was out, the barrage of questions he then asked me were clearly out of bounds even his voice changed. I didn't go to the audition. He called back repeatedly. I never explained it to my mother, because there was just no talking with her about that sort of thing ever. I credit a little innate sense, the pulpy novels that I was reading then, and a bunch of television movies of the week for my ability to recognize what that man was about back then.

I was approached by a guy like this in a mall when I was in my 20s but it wasn't in California. He was a 'magazine photographer' and wanted me to come to his hotel for some test shots. When he found that didn't work, he invited me to a restaurant at the mall, just for dinner. That didn't work either. When I finally left the mall, he 'just happened' to drive by and see me. I was quite creeped out by all of this. He flashed a huge wad of hundred dollar bills during our 'talking' and I considered for a brief moment of going to his hotel and robbing him. I don't think it would have been hard to do. But, I'm not a criminal and decided to just get away from him. Luckily, I smelled a rat right off and went with my gut instincts.

I lived in the little Lake Michigan town where Kristi and her family lived. They were a beautiful family and Kristi was a very sweet girl. The town is very tiny but the people there are the best you could ever meet. But because it’s a small, friendly town people can be a little naive. Not knowing that some people don’t have good intentions.
I got discovered in Hollywood Boulevard Post Office LA many years ago by a small elderly Jewish man with glasses. He invited me to his tiny studio with a piano in it at the top of a building nearby, the following day. I didn't take anyone with me because I was 31 and pretty fit and full of energy and I thought that I could overpower him if need be, having hitchiked across the US a couple of times. Anyway he was on the level as I surmised. However, he said that due to me being slightly older I would have to know how to sing as well. Sadly I have never been able to sing and it took about half an hour of trying to sing middle C before he realised it was hopeless. I feel so sorry for this young woman. Senseless loss of a life. He should have been banged up at the start of his career. It is always sensible to alert people when you are going somewhere new. I didn't actually want to be a Hollywood star I just thought it would be interesting to go to the interview, and it was. In the UK after I was at Art college it was common knowledge that some female artists had to give sexual favours to male gallery owners which is why I never tried to exhibit any art!
He will get a parole hearing in 25 years, but by no means does that mean he will be released. The governor of California would need to approve Victor's release, and that would be a big political liability in case he reoffends. Most likely, Victor will die in prison.

It's strange that he would pick the James Bond franchise as his lie. James Bond is one of the few movie series that have absolutely zero connection to Hollywood, and have never been produced outside of the UK.
That's what I thought. Plus, they had been using established actors like Eva Green (The Piano Teacher, The Dreamers, Kingdom of Heaven) and Naomie Harris (28 Days Later, Pirates of the Caribbean, Miami Vice). But desire sometimes overcomes judgment. It's just usually a matter of eating unhealthily or something - not getting scammed by a predator.
Until he was finally sent to prison - and he was let out early and then did far worse (escalated to unaliving a woman). Our prison systems don't even make a good faith attempt to rehabilitate people, and I don't know if someone like Victor could be rehabilitated anyway. If we can't or won't rehabilitate violent offenders, why let them out? Their prison experience often contributes to them being a worse offender.

I never believed them, and my gut instinct told me it was a crazy dangerous man. Asked to go out on a yacht late at night and more, I declined all offers. I grew up with a parent who was Jekyll and Hyde, that prepared me not to trust anyone.

Another California-based Serial Killer (this one in the late 70s) used the same M.O. as Victor. Rodney Alcala pretended to be a photographer for a popular women’s clothing magazine and was always in search of pretty girls who had the potential to model for his magazine. That was the “hook” Alcala used to lure these teenage girls to his apartment for a “photo shoot” to start their modeling portfolio. That is where he would un-alive these poor girls. Alcala, prior to his capture by law enforcement, actually appeared on an episode of the popular 70’s game show: “The Dating Game” . . . and won! However, the girl who ultimately selected him from a panel of 3 single guys vying for a possible “date” with her, was so creeped out by him during their initial talks following the show that she wisely decided to not go on the date with him. How Alcala made it on as a contestant on “The Dating Game” was a horrific surprise to many of the show’s fans after Alcala was finally arrested and charged with multiple murders of young ladies in the SoCal area. Apparently, prior to getting on “The Dating Game”, Alcala had just finished serving a couple years in prison for committing a lewd and lascivious act on a minor female. Fans of the popular game show were upset with the show’s producers for not doing more thorough background checks on the men they ultimately select to be contestants on the show. The episode of “The Dating Game” involving Alcala happens to be available here on RUclips if you simply type, “The Dating Game Killer” or “Rodney Alcala”. It’s an interesting and creepy video that is worth a watch IMO, knowing what we know now about this evil, worthless, psychopathic POS.

Women need to organize to reform the justice system - it's far too lax with these creeps and weirdos. It seems obvious after all the tragic stories of violence against women that little or nothing changes in the judicial system.
It would never occur to me to think of doing something like his tactic. But he must have had a measure of success with it since he used the same description on multiple women. Who knows how many other women were taken advantage of and hurt or killed?
This was covered via a recent "Dateline" podcast. Quite a good one at that, can't remember what it was called: maybe "Murder in the HOllywood Hills" or something like that.
I think that there's a pecking order for certain aristocratic people to be eligible for those kinds of roles, meaning no one legitimate is ever in a lifetime going to approach some random stranger and ask them to audition for a James Bond film. But like you said, the excitement from emotional thinking develops way quicker than critical thinking skills.
No longer do we have to speculate on why there were so few women in the James Bond movies wearing mini skirt, a white shirt, stiletto heels, and pantyhose. It is mostly because of the murder part.
Lenient judges need to be looked into. Naive shallow females shouldn't be judged too harshly, but if it wasn't for me, a friend of mine could be living a completely different life to what she's living right now. long story short, she was asked to go to an adress for photos, but I went with her and noticed the lack of furniture, and told them my mom was waiting downstairs and would phone the police if we weren't back at her car in 15 minutes- one lone camera on a tripod in an empty lounge....

I was once approached by a creepy unattractive dude telling he is a tennis/hockey player and he thought i looked like im an athlete i told him im naturally fit then he gave me his number told my then bf who was from the same town he said there are a number of girls who went missing going to a tennis/hockey practice, i thought it was weird that ppl be recruiting ppl from the streets, plus he kepts going on and on about my body very creepy

I lived in the little Lake Michigan town where Kristi and her family lived. They were a beautiful family and Kristi was a very sweet girl. The town is very tiny but the people there are the best you could ever meet. But because it’s a small, friendly town people can be a little naive. Not knowing that some people don’t have good intentions.

I got discovered in Hollywood Boulevard Post Office LA many years ago by a small elderly Jewish man with glasses. He invited me to his tiny studio with a piano in it at the top of a building nearby, the following day. I didn't take anyone with me because I was 31 and pretty fit and full of energy and I thought that I could overpower him if need be, having hitchiked across the US a couple of times. Anyway he was on the level as I surmised. However, he said that due to me being slightly older I would have to know how to sing as well. Sadly I have never been able to sing and it took about half an hour of trying to sing middle C before he realised it was hopeless.
I feel so sorry for this young woman. Senseless loss of a life. He should have been banged up at the start of his career.

It's strange that he would pick the James Bond franchise as his lie. James Bond is one of the few movie series that have absolutely zero connection to Hollywood, and have never been produced outside of the UK.
That's what I thought. Plus, they had been using established actors like Eva Green (The Piano Teacher, The Dreamers, Kingdom of Heaven) and Naomie Harris (28 Days Later, Pirates of the Caribbean, Miami Vice). But desire sometimes overcomes judgment. It's just usually a matter of eating unhealthily or something - not getting scammed by a predator.
I will never fail to be amazed at just how much illegal activity a person can get away with before being seriously dealt with.
Repeated lighr sentences did nothing to deter his crimes against women.
Until he was finally sent to prison - and he was let out early and then did far worse (escalated to unaliving a woman). Our prison systems don't even make a good faith attempt to rehabilitate people, and I don't know if someone like Victor could be rehabilitated anyway. If we can't or won't rehabilitate violent offenders, why let them out? Their prison experience often contributes to them being a worse offender.

And every one of you reading this, has, at one point been betrayed because your emotions got the better of you. Fortunately, your outcome was not fatal.

Another California-based Serial Killer (this one in the late 70s) used the same M.O. as Victor.
Rodney Alcala pretended to be a photographer for a popular women’s clothing magazine and was always in search of pretty girls who had the potential to model for his magazine. That was the “hook” Alcala used to lure these teenage girls to his apartment for a “photo shoot” to start their modeling portfolio. That is where he would un-alive these poor girls.
Alcala, prior to his capture by law enforcement, actually appeared on an episode of the popular 70’s game show: “The Dating Game” . . . and won! However, the girl who ultimately selected him from a panel of 3 single guys vying for a possible “date” with her, was so creeped out by him during their initial talks following the show that she wisely decided to not go on the date with him.
How Alcala made it on as a contestant on “The Dating Game” was a horrific surprise to many of the show’s fans after Alcala was finally arrested and charged with multiple murders of young ladies in the SoCal area. Apparently, prior to getting on “The Dating Game”, Alcala had just finished serving a couple years in prison for committing a lewd and lascivious act on a minor female. Fans of the popular game show were upset with the show’s producers for not doing more thorough background checks on the men they ultimately select to be contestants on the show. The episode of “The Dating Game” involving Alcala happens to be available here on RUclips if you simply type, “The Dating Game Killer” or “Rodney Alcala”. It’s an interesting and creepy video that is worth a watch IMO, knowing what we know now about this evil, worthless, psychopathic POS.

I think that there's a pecking order for certain aristocratic people to be eligible for those kinds of roles, meaning no one legitimate is ever in a lifetime going to approach some random stranger and ask them to audition for a James Bond film. But like you said, the excitement from emotional thinking develops way quicker than critical thinking skills.

Lenient judges need to be looked into. Naive shallow females shouldn't be judged too harshly, but if it wasn't for me, a friend of mine could be living a completely different life to what she's living right now. long story short, she was asked to go to an adress for photos, but I went with her and noticed the lack of furniture, and told them my mom was waiting downstairs and would phone the police if we weren't back at her car in 15 minutes- one lone camera on a tripod in an empty lounge....
