a little disappointed that y'all accepted a gambling sponsorship
b2b
bring back up to speed
Hate to sound like a buzzkill but its kind of messed up promoting a gambling site
A lot of younger people watch your channel so it's pretty disappointing to see you guys, who are generally really wholesome, accepting a gambling sponsorship. Just my opinion.
Donut should revive Money Pit by building a 24 Hours of Lemons racer
And compete against Chris fix
I saw on Gears and Gasoline that donut was competing just last week- I reckon a video is in the works
"Money pit but it's actually a brain pit because you have limited money"
Imagine a Chris fix donut collab vid on that race. That would be so sick.

Day 643 of asking Donut to bring old B2B back
I am in Full support of this statement
@@AA-ut1bx same
@@AA-ut1bx ME TOO
Lol 😂 I been seeing your comment on every video
Petition to bring it back
As many car enthusiasts all started from the same place - inheriting their parents' car until they could buy their own, I'd love to see a series about typical/common mods you can make in order to make "grandma's old car" rad on a budget. Basically, you have 300 bucks and want to make grandma's car not suck, what do you do?
Additionally, love to see the guys build a kit car from start to finish.
A kit car would ROCK, do a classic 30s car with a really nice engine
Wait your parents gave you a car? Lucky
You're describing Mighty Car Mods. They still produce the same kinds of content since their broke days, but they have a bit of a budget now.
my "grandma's" ( dad's) old car is a 1990 chevrolet C1500 I can do quite a lot to, I could make it 1200 hp or more if i wanted
@@Monglomonyeah with a new everything lol
I think I've watched literally every episode of everything y'all have done, I understand the amount of content y'all have put out makes it hard to come up with new stuff but there has to be something in the money pit, wheel house, b2b, up to speed area to do.
Wow, this clothing company puts out some really good commercials.
lmao, seriously
Fr donut is just one long ad
Too bad the clothes are dogturds
@@redditrecall439Quality or design? I’ve always thought they looked pretty cool. If it was my style I would buy some
Should read the instructions (if any) to give them a fair chance. The shower gizmos water bag needs to be higher. It takes quite a bit of effort for the pump to push the water up from ground level. The winch actually surprised me though. Seemed to work quite well!
Yeah that thing is definitely gravity assisted, they even said 'hang it from your truck'
That makes sense, if they used gravity as an ally instead of fighting it then it would have been way more effective. Though maybe if they had a disposable filter like a coffee filter or cheese cloth to run that dirty water through first it would probably lower the chance of it getting clogged as well.
Came here to say the same thing. Of course, based on the source, there may not have been instructions
Yeah, gravity is your friend when it comes to outdoor portable showers. Having gravity assist the water flow instead of requiring the pump to have to push the water "uphill" when the pump isn't very strong is just asking for frustration. You usually hang the water reservoir from a tree limb above head or shoulder level.
I got a harbor freight winch for about the same money, and I expected to warranty it pretty quickly, but it's been 3 years of hard use. And its still kicking butt. If it did die, harbor freight will swap it out any time.
It's so wholesome seing how in the first Justin videos he was more shy and kept and now he is a charisma machine. Absolute pristine vibes my guy. 👌
I laughed out loud when he laughed about not being the one that broke something!
@@manganvbg90 woops, corrected, thanks for pointing out 🙏

I agree. The dude has improved so much and now I consider him a valued member of the cast.

It would be so good if Donut did High Low season with hondas.
a hot civic high low season would be amazing
Genesis coupes would be cool too since the are fun cars but underrated
God plz no
Nolan loves those old civic hatches, could be awesome
they should do hi lo with ef or eg hatch and k24 swaps, im excited to see the low civic ebay turbo rocket
Remember when they had a video everyday? B2b, up to speed, money pit. Those were the days
yeah, the format seemed slightly different and there was another dude i dont see anymore.
Now we have fillers every day
they had to slow down a bit on the money spending after the hi lo subie series lol
@@dillonvillon Yeah no. It costs barely anything to do B2b and up to speed.
remember when at the end of every hi low episode they would actually sit down and go over if the high parts were actually worth it or not and which they'd rather choose which was the whole point of the series? those were the days
They're really getting a lot of mileage out of the "cheap vs. expensive product" theme. Bring back hi/lo and the series where mechanics can win cars! Lol
What do you think pays for those videos
@@heyhibye7842 I know right
@@heyhibye7842 I mean it's not like they don't make money off of the other videos via views, sponsorships etc. Plus merchandise.
I'm all for a wide variety of content, and I think their videos are great. Just feels one sided recently.
@@christopherdeck1493 they literally just finished a hi lo season, its gonna take a while to save up for another
Dude you’re gonna have to wait a while because they just finished doing a season of that lmao
The thing about cheap parts like these, is that they usually work alright the first few times but don’t last. Cheap tents last about a season and then need to be replaced. If it’s all you can afford, then don’t let that stop you from getting out but if you can afford better quality equipment, then you’ll wind up spending less over time since you won’t need to replace your gear as often.
Cheaper tents can be good if from a brand that sticks around. I don't know much about roof tents but plenty of good brand camping tents from companies like Naturehike. Even things like a winch the ones from Harbor freight have worked well for many.
11:15 have fun watching 2 donuts have a hard time with physics and hydrodynamic physics...
7:28 are we just gonna ignore how smooth of a catch that was????
Was just coming here to say this, want to give props to whoever threw it too…damn fine work team
@Doogis right?? I re-watched it probably 7 times - had to make sure my eyes were seein' right 🤯
Jobe is the man.
thank you, came here looking for this comment. lol
Justin has ended up being an amazing addition to the team, I was pretty skeptical watching the first video he was in but you can really tell how much more comfortable and in his element he is now. Hope you stick around!
Hell yea,as an avid off roader I can relate way more to this subject then lowering a car😅 or blowing up a subie. Keep up the awesome yall!🤙
Finally, more offroad content.
We need a whole episode just for the fabrication of that winch mount.
as shoddy as it was, it _looked_ really cool from 10 ft away
Imagine doing a season of HiLow where every part has to be bought from Wish
Not sure you can make a functional car that way
Hi, Lo, and Lo-er
I think they'd have to rebrand the series from HiLow to LowBroke
Bruh cooking
@@ryurc3033 let him cook
You should take a floor mat or even a towel and drape it over the winch rope. That way if it snaps, the end of the rope doesn't whip and take you out!
Don't forget to bring a towel. I'll bring the donuts!
Ever had that feeling? Your favorite restaurant, everything looks the same, same awesome staff, but one day, the food starts tasting different. Your favorite menu items get dropped...
You find out the chef has changed.
That's what Donut feels like lately.
I was worried about that low truck fab work for the winch too… and how you rigged up the winch cable to the bull bar instead of the recovery points on the ARB Bumper. I thought we were going to see round 2 of the bumper folding over 😂
seriously where is the sense??
It's obvious these guys love the automotive world, but they're clearly not offroaders
The "strap on" traction board...we used an angle iron and chain variant of these when I work on a farm. They were used to get center pivot irrigation systems unstuck. Mud-lugs are what we called them. Worked well.
Plus you can probably afford more angle iron and chain for more mud-lugs per tire to really dig in and git!
I dearly miss Wheel House, Up to Speed, B2B, Money Pit and Science Garage.
Yeah remember old Donut? Those were the days. All those shows are why I kept coming back to watch videos. Even Miracle Whips.
We need to revisit Low Truck in 6 months to see how all these parts fare after some regular use.
You're funny enough that we don't complain that donut has become just another ordinary product review channel 🥺🥺
Watching DM single-handedly convinced me to keep my old car and make it a project, I fell in love with it all over again

Bring em back!
12:37 high on life reference? 🤔🤔🤔
As long as you have clean-ish water, those travel showers work really well. Looks a lot like the one we have at our cottage.
I was wondering if theirs didn't work so great because it needs to be gravity fed and they didn't have it set up right?
@@nakmuay7705 : Just setting the bag on the hood of the truck would give it enough gravity assist to work. Then put a layer of light cloth around the pump as a particulate filter.
@@stephensteinhauer3346 like a bandana?
@@nakmuay7705 It looked like it just got clogged by the muddy water. It had good pressure in the beginning but ran out quick lol. Also could be that the little impeller got almost stuck because of the impurities, should work without the help of gravity but it helps though.
Also a pre filter of some sort would have probably saved it here.
yeah, they didn't give that a fair try.
"Ey that's how I get smelly" Everybody dude felt that one in their hearts and out their ass.

Always like the off road content. Fun and entertaining
Jobe, Justin, and Jeremiah are my favorite trio on Donut. :D
J Crew
3J
The Jays
7:29 I was caught off guard by the smoothness of that catch. 😂😂
You guys should do a high/low classic car restoration.
Would be awesome to have another season of money pit. But a bit slower, more balanced and easier to follow like miata series style, not necessary e36 style, but wouldn't complain anyway!
i feel like the e36 was like 4 episodes and over. i preferred the miata one more which was like 20 episode
@@zuck4140 same here, you could feel miata series was more down to earth type of build (despite some expensive parts used in it) but I love that format with detailed information, good narration etc.
Guys, be careful with where you attach the winch rope on the casualty vehicle! There is a lot of potential energy in that rope and the last thing you want is for the bullbar to let go or fail causing the rope with or without the bullbar attached flying back at the recovery vehicle. I'd seriously recommend putting in some words of safety with these sorts of videos given how many cowboys end up getting hit with improper recovery points that have come flying back at the recovery vehicle!
They’re using a synthetic rope with a damper over the line. If it lets go it’s not gonna have the same tension a wire rope will have. Also if it breaks with a wire rope it’s probably gonna break somewhere in the middle. That’s the biggest benefit of the rope
@@cristianfmendez I was littery about to comment this exact thing, they are definitely being safe doing this.
Now they need to demonstrate what can go wrong when using gear. I wanna see a dummy get sliced in half!
ugh, am I about to search for winch accidents? .. here goes.
It is not a RUclipsrs responsibility to teach people to use the tools they purchase for themselves. There are user manuals, training courses and videos that already exist specifically for that purpose. The onus is on the person choosing to participate to seek that information. Especially if the person has already taken a vehicle out into terrain where they need to recover it with a winch.
@@cessman8054 Doesn't hurt to cover your bases in a litigious society like we live in today. Court costs are expensive even if you win.
My fear with this channel is becoming a reality. Moving further and further away from just wrenching on car videos and more into what looks clickable.
The money pit series with Jobe and the miata in his driveway was my favourite series on this channel. Educational. Funny and entertaining.
Now it’s just cheap stuff from wish videos.
Donut should take the formula from the "Top Gear Specials" and make their own spin on it. More road trips, different locations, budget cars/bikes, and challenges!

that traction board reveal made me laugh WAY too loud, wow lol
I laughed out loud at that.
I like how it blew up and almost started a fire and dude still gave it three stars. I guess it’s one star for each time he used it.
"Which one? Small, medium, or large?"
Justin "It says it does it all"
Justin is a glass half full kind of guy. My man!!

Truck tents never made much sense to me. There's this cool thing that works great to sleep on. It's called the ground.
Gotta say, this had to have been scary to film. One snapped winch line...
I think that's why Jobe got in the truck at one point
Thankfully it was a synthetic winch line instead of steel, considerably less dangerous if it breaks.
Always a good time when donut drops. Thanks, Donut!
Lol at those traction boards😂 and the fact that you wait months to do these videos
Not sure when you guys switched to a proper stereo mix, but I'm loving it! That wind actually panned from one channel to another

Watching donut from the beginning is crazy to see their video quality progression in such a short time
You guys seriously just helped me on making a decision whether to fork over the cash for the high dollar offroad lights or buy the mid range ones for half the price. 🤘. I kinda had the same thought that leds are pretty common nowadays that they are all pretty similar in quality.
Donut should be buying/comparing similar products from Wish vs Temu vs Alibaba
lol quite a few of these products(the toilet, the shower, the tent, bed, etc) fall under the "Why reinvent what already works?" category. You don't need a pump to move water when you have gravity(coleman solar bag on the roof of your car). You don't need a portable collapsible toilet when you can use a 5 gallon bucket with a seat. You don't need a custom inflatable mattress when you have a camping pad, etc. A lot of people buy completely stupid gear because they don't understand the tried/true gear that already exists.
Also remember that nowhere in the US are light bars legal on public roads. Neither are any yellow fog lights. You're allowed 4 white lights and your amber turn signals on the front of your car. That's it.
You need to do a long-term test on a few of these. Specifically the air compressor and those cheap lights. I doubt very seriously those are going to last more than a month.
That's the winch i wanted to see on low truck in the series
I’ve been running a 250$ 2000 watt tacklife generator for a couple years now, other than a fouled plug she’s a runner!
The key to living the Harbor Freight lifestyle is being handy enough to modify/repair your tools up to usable spec,
If you just want to glamp in comfort get a Honda
Please, please, please take a recovery course. You should be using snatch blocks and recovery straps.
This show is very entertaining to watch this
This would have been such a good Matt’s Offroad Recovery collab!
I love your guys videos they're so down to earth and honeslty what regular people would use and are quite informative and yet still have a great sense of humor when ya'll are filming it's so nice to see such a great group of guys getting along making videos and being successful

love the blues playin near the ' muddy water' 11:07
Quick tip! All 12v tire inflators and even the high end Milwaukee battery powered ones have a duty cycle of about 5 minutes run time then 5 minutes of cool down time. If you run them continuously over 5 minutes every time you use it you'll burn the compressor out prematurely.
Keep this series going. Great videos!
I have that Tacklife compressor, bought it in 2019 after I was stuck with a flat spare tire.
I use it a few times a year to check pressures (especially when switching summers and winters).
I've used it once to fill a flat back to decent pressure so I could get the car somewhere I could change the tire (small puncture).
It is a great tool to have in your trunk in case of an emergency.
6:12 bicycle tyres need a lit more pressure then what cars use. Most cars will be in the 30psi range. The minimum for a bicycle is 45psi and a max of 60psi. The pump tube will get HOT.
Cheap light bars usually work great when new. The real test is if they stand up to weather and vibration, and keep working over time. Some do, some don't.
7:29 best catch ever made on RUclips
Dude Perfect would like a word
Non of these videos are bad but with the talent Donut has and being one of the biggest car channel it should listen to their fans and also try to innovate their content.
Doesn’t have to be it’s own video but discussing the difference between winch rope and cable would be fun for many. I switched from cable to rope years ago and will never go back.
