    The warlock grifter could be a changeling and skip Mask of Many Faces. If you can get shiftweave or glamerweave, so much the better. Do whatever it takes in the guise of some random person and walk away.

      Yeah that would definitely be more optimal in terms of the whole rules available. I personally just never cared for using changelings as a PC. I do however loooove using them as a monster, or encounter of some type.

      @@yugthebarbarian - They’re fey, and a shapechanging trickster fey is a classic for the darker side of fantasy. I play up the fey heritage for elves too, so they aren’t just humans with one or two alterations like Star Trek does.
      They’re not necessarily monsters any more than a half-orc is, though. Eberron was the first D&D setting to uncouple heritage from moral agency, and that’s where changelings first showed up. One of the development goals of the setting was: “The monsters aren’t always villains, and the villains aren’t always monsters.”
