As a guitarist, I would say "whatever works for you and inspire/motivates you to play". In the guitar world, there's a quest attached to it, the quest for your sound. Every guitar sounds different, every amp sounds different , and the pedal everyone mocks upon, might be the right one for you. If you're listening to what others say, you'll never do anything! It was an informative video, curiously, the DL-4 found it's way into most 'jazz' guitarists 'pedalboard' at one point or the other, probably thanks to guitarists like Bill Frisell or even Pat Matheney, who are both explorers. Take care! ps in Music and sound , there's no right or wrong, as I said, whatever works for you!
Bonjour, Super cette démo merci .. Pour ma part j’ai un problème avec son branchement avec d’autres pédales.. Elle me fait des différences de son/ volume, une fois l’effet arrêtée.. pourriez-vous me donner une info sur ce point svp
I never had this problem with mine. The only thing I can think of as a solution would be to try changing between true bypass and alternate bypass and see if that makes a difference. Page 3 of the online manual has instructions to change between these two modes. line6.com/data/l/c0a8090beeaa404f9983ba3f6/application/pdf/MM4%20User%20Manual-English.pdf (this is the English version)
Sorry I didn't answer sooner. The MM4 modeled modulation effects like chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, Univibe, etc. That one never caught on like the DL4.
The Mary Halvorsen bit was the nicest surprise, she uses the DL4 & wah in the most creatively interesting way and I adore her work
That’s an expression pedal that she’s using. She’s awesome!
Mary's recent albums have been fantastic! Thanks for the great video
Great video! Very informative and I enjoyed your comments towards the end regarding finding your own sound and "pedal shame". Thanks Tom!
I’m glad this stumbled into my algorithm! Thanks for sharing!
I have had three since 2007...good stuff

Grand merci pour votre reponse je vais essayer cela
Sounds cool. What's the difference between the line 6 mm 4 and the line 6 DL for?

I had one of those and never used it to its full potential.
The expression pedal is DUNLOP DVP4 Volume X Mini Pedal?
Yes, that's the one. amzn.to/3XvlpUL
