if anyone cares apparently Mike Stern says: "I use an SPX-90, which is an old Yamaha signal processor, and just for this harmonizer patch. It’s one of the sounds, which I use as kind of a chorus effect, and it splits the sound, so it’s kind of pretty stereo sounding, kind of big sounding..."
I have mine since early 90's. I ended up doing what you did there, then said I have to either choose to play guitar or to play the pedal... 'cause my hands have to be one one or the other but not both for any lenght. 🤷♂️ And there is still the last setting where it becomes a Whammy Pedal you can choose the upper and lower settings and navigate with an expression pedal! What a fun box!
I found the Boss DD-7 in the Modulate and Analog modes does the smooth warping of dekay. The digital modes do not. The DD-3 Will but it get super artifacted in a cool way
I would love it you wouldn’t fiddle with knobs so much before you find the sound to show. Maybe identify sounds more ahead to show. Still, it’s a relief to find finally find something other than hard rock or metal players demonstrate such pedals, even better jazz
Unless, I realize now, of course you’re showing what you can do just turning the knobs. I just assumed that one would never do that cause you’re playing the guitar but I guess it’s possible.
Can you get a shimmer effect on this? I had one, but I don’t remember if it was a PS2 or a PS3. It did shimmer extremely well. I want to get my hands on one again.
I have a PS2 and PS3. You can get some swirly sounds on the pitch modulations on the PS3 (particularly modes 7&8) that have a swirly quality to them, but it's not really a shimmer.
I absolutely have to get that shirt! Nice!
Love it Tom, thanks for sharing and keeping it weird!
Loved your reverb pedal video, I ended getting a red panda context after your review. Thanks!
You are the BOSS!

I’ve had mine since they pretty much came out. Still on my board. It was my first pedal.

DigiTech have Whammy versions of their drop pedal, at least 2 different versions, where you can smoothly pitch shift using the articulated pedal
