WE should make a TRUE TUBE DRIVEN SPRING REVERB Pedal/BOX, and I have a crazy cool idea, ,no one has used yet... its super cool. Hit me up! Would love to Collaborate. (No cost, just love gear and need something no one has built YET!) - I hope you read this and take me seriously. All I need is 15 minutes of your time. If you hate my idea that's cool to! You make OTHER great gear.
This pedal is such an intelligent build! Absolutely a winner here. The delay and reverbs here sound really nice. This is perfect for someone looking to cut on pedal board space but not on pedal quality.
People are obviously going to compare it Source Audio's Collider but that has a couple years of age on it. Looks like a great pedal. Thank you for releasing it.
Collider’s cost as much used, and I tried one, to compare with my delays and reverbs, to see if I wanted one. The Collider was nice, but not worth $350, and I still haven’t found any multi-effect, that replaces the Kilobyte. That Kilobyte has a great Tale Delay sound, and it can be dirtier and has a good modulation. I use it for my main delay. I have used various others as a second, so a 2 in 1 pedal, was what I was looking for, and I ended up just getting the Keeley Hydra, because it has three reverb types I use, and the Plate really works for anything for me, and with its excellent, digital Trems, including Harmonic, it was the better option at a low price. I like the Alexander Pedals History Lesson better than Strymon or SA delays. I don’t care if it’s 32 bit, or 24, or whatever. Some of the most used pedals, are tech that’s 40 years old or more. Some of the best digital effects, are a decade to twenty years old. I like Wampler’s multi effects, because it’s a small pedal, and it’s easy to get good sounds. I have the Terraform as a backup, or for small board gigs. This is priced at $300 new. So, I’ll likely wait for a b-stock, or someone who sells one used, but this will be perfect for a small board, with many effects. I can play just about any type of gig, with a Velvet Fuzz, Plexi Deluxe Deluxe, Terraform and Catacombs.
You make my favourite style of pedal demos Brian. Always great playing, very informative about how it works, but also the thought process behind it. And it's also entertaining :)
This is a smart idea, with a great execution. The pedal looks cool, seems like it does everything I could want either a reverb or a delay to do, and it sounds great as always.
Looks absolutely class. Really well thought out and not up its own hole. Can get creative or be workmanlike. I don’t know why more brands don’t make delay and verb combos. Would love one of these.
I may have to sell a pedal or two to fund this, but I see a catacombs in my future. Which means nearly the whole damn pedalboard will be Wampler. If you ever need a gringo endorser in Colombia, I'm your man!
Absolute master stroke in including the plugin version as well when you buy the pedal. This is a really versatile pedal in terms of control with MIDI and the expression pedal, and all the options that you can run through, but being able to use it in a mix without having to physically plug in it in and worry about delay compensation and everything is a super good idea and I'm shocked other pedal builders don't do this more. Great stuff as always Craig. I've had an Ego on my acoustic pedal board for a decade and even when my rig got stolen I bought another one immediately. Honestly one of the most indispensible pedals I have, and massively underrated for acoustic guitar. This one might be joining it soon I feel
It sounds amazing. You always add a little something extra. I've learned so much from you. These pedals always add a new dimension or several to instrument and playing. I'd call that generous, not selfish.
Really good sounding pedal with a useful set of features. I exclusively use a Modeler, but I can still appreciate what a good job Wampler does with all his Pedals. Congrats on such a good design and array of beautiful sounds.
Excellent feature set with a lot of small considerations that make it a useful stage fx. One small piece of feedback: dedication power pass through for the MIDI switcher. That would clean things up a lot, because I will have to use it for presets.
Looks great, sounds great. Love that it can be used like 2 separate pedals if you want - all combo pedals should work that way. One suggestion for the shimmer control, set it to be off at noon, more octave up when you turn it to the right and add an octave down when you start turning it to the left.
Just from the intro it sounds really gorgeous! And I wanted to be the first other than you to comment. Delay is one of my faves and that verb sounds amazing! Love it!
Always a good time watching your vids, makes me want to buy your pedals, Question? Do you have a bass pedal that combines Octaver and Chorus? Thanjs Ruderik
Hi there. Nice bit of kit there. Lovely lush, warm reverbs. Regards echo side, it would have been good to provide a multi tap echo option, or even a second delay engine for a step up in killer tone options. Friendly feedback there. Many thanks, Greg.
This looks awesome - probably gonna pick up the VST version as it fits better into my workflow! Plus I can pick up the other VSTs to go with it later on :)
Dig it! Excellent! I might just have to find a companion to my Collider. Whether or not this is ADT, it sounds great in this demo. It seems the conversion is very good, like the H9, etc. Love my Terraform. Also like the LED 'position' indicator feedback.
Okay, so the shirt is brilliant. Love it, BW. Secondly, you guys are (IMHO) the undisputed king of drive and dirt. It is super cool to see something different from you. This pedal looks great. I mean the design and color scheme are great. Finally, does the spring reverb drip? Have we checked with Ryan at 60 Cycle Hum????
iIs is a without doubt a beautiful sounding (and beautiful looking :)) pedal, but I don’t see any advantage of having a delay and reverb in one pedal, above a separate delay an reverb pedal. Am I missing something ?
The second you said it could be used as two separate pedals so you can put effects in between, I immediately knew what I was asking santa for this year.
I've been looking for a good delay+reverb pedal for two weeks now, almost bought the Collider. Now I'm gonna wait a bit longer until this one is available here.
I'm listening while typing this, and already have two favorite tones: the Room and Slap Back! Dang, that sounds killer. The Plate Reverb, is that an EMT 140?
I'm a beginner guitarist and would like to get a couple petals to help get that tone. I'm on a limited budget. I'm retired and just don't want to waste my money on something I don't need. What would you suggest for the first two or three petals?. Thanks
Funny idea I wanted to do when I was younger - why not have pedals which are fully digital. ... ... ... .... ... You could then connect the "digital Stompboxes" as usual but the sound quality would be superb.
@@wampler_pedals Look I've started with the ME-5 and I was really p** that the phaser was missing. Then I got a RP-12, params too coarse. GT-100 almost perfect but a pain to dial in. ME-80 super to dial in but ... You get the point - the multi fx device is always a compromise, will never be perfect - "digital" pedals which could be plugged individually would allow you to have the perfect pedal board. This is missing.
@@johnmoser1162 I hear ya, but the problem with doing multiple digital pedals though is multiple ad/da convertors. With a pedalboard full of digital pedals you'd end with a lot of latency
Great stuff as always. If i may say one thing that can be added, the software to set all the parameters and tempo. Already have a plugin of this so it is not difficult i guess. Plz plz if possible need an app
Hi Brian . You are obviously quite Amazing !! Your Brain Power is just over the top !! I wish I could afford even just Half A Dozen of your Magical Guitar Pedals . As of now I only have one of your Compressor Pedals . But it most definitely makes a World of difference when I'm Recording all of my Guitar Tracks in my small Home Studio . I've been begging the Wife for permission to purchase a Wampler Delay Pedal and a Wampler Reverb Pedal to enhance my Guitar Tracks even more . Because I'm on indefinite Disability she's really tight with my Money . Which is totally understandable . But I keep telling her " But c'mon , we're talking about Wampler Guitar Pedals that are Super High Quality !! " . And obviously she has no idea that a Reverb and Delay Pedal would have nothing to do with Recording . LoL !! But this new CATACOMBS Pedal looks and sounds like the best Pedal I've seen in quite some time . I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe . 🎸🎹🎶🥁😎
This looks so cool, but I have a question. I asked in the FB group chat, but want to ask here too. When you are switching modes on the tap switch, if you just hold it down, does it cycle between all colors until you let it go? Or does it only move one at a time no matter the length?
I am in a mood for a delay reverb combo for a while now. To me, having both pedals in the end of the chain is weird as you get into the digital realm, come back to analog, go digital again and finally back to analog… again. It sounds nonsense to me when thinking in a higher quality sound and latency as well. So, I think there’s a good market for this new pedal you launched 👏👏
The problem with shared control knobs is that when adjust A then go to adjust B the B setting jumps to what the knob is set at the second you touch it. In other words you can't slightly adjust the B setting from where it was because A changed the pot position. Behringer use to have pots/knobs that had lights and that digitaly changes settings so the knob was always where you left it when moving between A and B.
I so wished he would have done the loop pre/post in/out like on the terraform so we could have chosen before + after dirts for each preset… but anyway, sounds super cool
Man, I love your pedals dude, but you're getting so ambitious- I can't afford them anymore. The days of a 100-120-dollar overdrive, and that's it- are kind of over. Everyone is building all these dual, multifunctional pedals that cost a small fortune. Don't stop though, I'll catch up- and tbh, I really like dual and triple pedals in one enclosure- it makes my board nice and neat. Right now, I'm running a compressor/overdrive combo, into the Keely Darkside workstation, into UA Lion 68, into a reverb/delay combo. That's just 4 pedals, and yet I have compression, overdrive, fuzz, phaser, flanger, rotary, U-vibe, 3 amps, 6 cabs, 3 reverbs, and 3 delays, with modulation. It's really more than I need- from just 4 pedals. Oh wait- forgot the wah-wah- 5 pedals. Considering one is my amp and cabs- that's not too bad imo. This is exactly the kind of new pedal that gets me excited. A really competent set of delays and reverbs in one box.
Absolutely!
This pedal is such an intelligent build! Absolutely a winner here. The delay and reverbs here sound really nice. This is perfect for someone looking to cut on pedal board space but not on pedal quality.
Keep designing out of pure selfishness, this is exactly what i am looking for.
People are obviously going to compare it Source Audio's Collider but that has a couple years of age on it. Looks like a great pedal. Thank you for releasing it.
I had the Collider and it was nice, but the UI is a bit more complicated. Wampler UI is more straightforward.

The Collider was nice, but not worth $350, and I still haven’t found any multi-effect, that replaces the Kilobyte.

Many more options on the collider (usb with editor, 2 delays or 2 reverbs…). More tweakable, so more expensive…
I own a collider and terraform. I still want this.
Brian your guitar skills these past years have skyrocketed! Very nice pedal as well!
You make my favourite style of pedal demos Brian. Always great playing, very informative about how it works, but also the thought process behind it. And it's also entertaining :)

Wampler rocks top quality.
Sounds amazing...which is nothing less than what I would expect from your head brother!!!
Awesome sounding pedal. my guitarists gonna love this one, I'll send her a link to this video.
Sounds gorgeous!
Both sides sound great together they sound amazing ❤ otherworldly a lead players dream 🎸 Like having a Lexicon pcm 80 in a pedal 🤘
You had me at 8 panel presets the midi is a bonus but the plugin is just showing off! Chef's Kiss!
Great work man!!! Hoping to get this when I can ✌️
Oh my oh my, My dream finally came true with this release. Thank you Mr.Wampler.
Excellent feature set with a lot of small considerations that make it a useful stage fx.

Thanks Brian, new pedal sounds great! I still love my Geranium tumnus deluxe!!! Love your videos.
@wampler pedals- You nailed the EJ tone.
your guitar playing in start before the chords gave me huge Geotic vibes - love that
Wow ❤ thanks man for your work!!!
Love the bender
Looks and sounds great! It’s definitely designed for people who’ve got a lot more patience than me. This will sell a lot of units 🙌
Nice 1 Bri!
Hell yes! This looks awesome. Just downloaded the plugin and will proceed to stare toward the horizon as I belt out sweet arpeggiations for hours
Just from the intro it sounds really gorgeous! And I wanted to be the first other than you to comment. Delay is one of my faves and that verb sounds amazing! Love it!
Tasty playing, man, this sounds great!
Awesomeness, cool name btw, u got a winner!
Very cool Brian!

Amazing pedal!

Nice work Brian! Is it analog dry through? Those of us who have a wet/dry rig need that.
Hi there. Nice bit of kit there. Lovely lush, warm reverbs. Regards echo side, it would have been good to provide a multi tap echo option, or even a second delay engine for a step up in killer tone options. Friendly feedback there. Many thanks, Greg.
Love it! Like being able to split it into two pedals if needed. Also love the Bender!
Very nice! Thank you
This looks awesome - probably gonna pick up the VST version as it fits better into my workflow! Plus I can pick up the other VSTs to go with it later on :)
My first Wampler!
Sounds good with an interesting feature set for sure ! But is it analog dry through ? ...the only thing i can miss and i can't find the info anywhere.
Reverb delay is so pretty.

Wow!! 😵 Nice!
That is exactly the pedal I need.
I'd love to see an in-depth and totally nerdy breakdown of a parametric EQ, particularly to understand better how the Q is controlled.
I really like this pedal!!!
Fantastic.
Love the tones and flexibility!
I would love to see you come up with a multi drive/distortion(preamp) in the same format.
Love that Shirt. Cool dly sir 🤘🏽
iIs is a without doubt a beautiful sounding (and beautiful looking :)) pedal, but I don’t see any advantage of having a delay and reverb in one pedal, above a separate delay an reverb pedal. Am I missing something ?
Another great pedal.
Loving the new Ego Compressor, btw. It has replaced my vintage DynaComp.
The second you said it could be used as two separate pedals so you can put effects in between, I immediately knew what I was asking santa for this year.
This pedal in tandem with a Tumnus would turn a D20 into metal firebreather.
I've been using the Boss RV-3 for many years. But I believe it's time to go for that new baby 🙂
I would buy that pedal. I will buy that pedal!
I've been looking for a good delay+reverb pedal for two weeks now, almost bought the Collider. Now I'm gonna wait a bit longer until this one is available here.
Personally, I still like and use pedals (including your Tumnus) but here's to your success in a Tonex/Helix/QC world. The pedal sounds sweet.
Segment 1. Nice.
Very NICE

Is it possible to edit pre delay of the reverbs?
You should build a Meazzi ,Binson , Space Echo pedal

You have to let up on the switch and press down again to get to the next mode:

I’m guessing that (admittedly annoying ) quirk is lessened by the clever addition of the LEDs showing you where the preset value was
Does it have analog dry through and can You set it 100% wet? (maybe save a kill dry preset?)
Very very much the same as Source Audio Collier delay/rev in its design and functionality..
I so wished he would have done the loop pre/post in/out like on the terraform so we could have chosen before + after dirts for each preset… but anyway, sounds super cool
Alrighty, I'll bite. What DSP are you using on this one?
Very nice, Brian
Has this got a analog bleed/ blend or does the entire signal go through digital conversion?
Sounds good. Can the delay be set for different time signatures, like dotted eight?
Yup all the delays feature subdivisions
That’s not a time signature; that’s a subdivision of the beat. Just so you know.
It sounds good to me man.
Of course we like it, why would you not release it?
Man, I love your pedals dude, but you're getting so ambitious- I can't afford them anymore. The days of a 100-120-dollar overdrive, and that's it- are kind of over. Everyone is building all these dual, multifunctional pedals that cost a small fortune. Better reverb than anything BOSS has...
Surprised it doesn’t have an ethereal mode or can that be done with existing algorithms?
Can I hook up an expression pedal to control only the mix level while still continually adjusting my tap tempo on the fly? (drunk drummer scenario)
