I used to have this pedal many years ago. Bought it for the same price it goes now. It's obvious it holds its value.
You're the only person who's reviewed this pedal the way i got to use it. 100% of its use.
There ous nothing quite like looping a reversed melody and playing a normal overlaid melody. I could listen to it for hours.
Beautiful content. Subbed.
Thank you so much for your comment!! I feel the same way, I've spent numerous hours looking for a really IN DEPTH look at the DL4, I figured it would be a good start...I'm planning on doing a follow up and/or a Delay shoot out soon!
really liked your video, thanks a lot
Literally the best tutorial on this pedal cause it showed exactly how I plan on using it👏👏
that is one well-loved dl4, damn
a beautiful effect pedal
Everything I wanted to see from this pedal - 10/10 vid

i saw Bradford Cox had dl4 on his pedalboard. the way he used the looper function is pretty similar to how you showcased in this video. great stuff!
That is really interesting! I personally love his work...Thank you so much!!
beautiful sounds!
Great video! I remember buying this pedal when it first came out with part of my student loan, have used it so much over the years. Currently it's not on my pedal board though, I'd taken it off to try and save space. Think it's time dig it out again. Very inspiring!
Thank you so much for your comment! And let me know how the Dl4 works for you!
Which delay pedal do you usually go for? What other effects are absolutely essential for you when you play?
@@endlesscassette8905 I've been using the JHS panther cub of late, mainly to try and save space on my pedal board. It's a cool analog delay. My other go to pedal that has to be there is the boss PH-2 Super phaser. I absolutely love that pedal. Love phasers in general, but that one is my fav!
@@justrichardcharles great choice of pedals! I’ll make sure to upload more pedal rundowns with whatever effects I’ve got laying around 😹
🙏🏼❤️
@@endlesscassette8905 cool man! I'll look forward to watching more videos! 👍😁

Saluti dall'Ecuador :)
I was besotted when I first heard things like this at a MBV concert so I got to experimenting myself What about running it through an alesis quadraverb+ and Watkins copicat echo unit. I think messa boogie lone star necessitates itself effortlessly as the best amp to accommodate these mesmeric oscillations and imagistic soundscapes . I always believed you can think yourself into another world when hearing such Sonic elegence
Really nice choice of gear! I'm sure that you can definitely get some nice textures! Thanks for the MBV comparison, I'm uploading videos every Monday make sure to check them out and subscribe! I'm also on IG and Patreon if you're interested in checking out more vids :)
Thanks again for the comment!
Dude I love you for this thanks man! Where did you get that effect pedal?

@@endlesscassette8905 you know da good spot
I'm sold
Thank you!!
Subbed, really cool stuff
Thank you!!!💓
whats the longest time you can loop with this?
I think around 25 to 30 seconds.
Why does it look like you burned your DL4? You can’t see the settings or what delay sound it’s on
Love the DL4 , had it since 2005. I'm playing with it now or the first time in a while. Isn't there a way to have the the delay "trail off" AFTER you disengage the effect? ...Rather than just stopping immediately. I seem to recall that was one the little tricks they programmed in there prior to Yamaha buying the company. Great video by the way!
yes. they all do it. just hold down footswitches 1 and 3 WHILE you power the unit on (power on is done by plugging the input jack in)
that will engage this alt. bypass mode to give the trails
