    • @512460
      @512460 4 года назад +1

      Incorrect sir, they say that but it's stupid. A chain is most definitely a serviceable part as its stretchs (as chains do) if you've ever owned a pedal bike youll know this. Example when i bought a new chain for my bmx after riding a bit it stretched then just had to re adjust the chain. So moral of the story chains stretch. No digging at you just stating facts. And to be fair is VW's fault for saying such silly things.

      @@DSGDemons Yeh mate hes right theres no cambelt on these ea888 gen 3 engines its chain driven, but chains stretch and thats when you get cam correlation faults many golf rs S3s get this when the service interval isnt followed properly, theres a little spindle thing thats fill with oil pressure that controls the variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust and these get stuck and so when the cars idling its starts jumping revs etc, but changing a chain is a ballache

With the finance I got a good deal, and I save vat + more from corporation tax as I bought it through my business. At the end of the day what goes out of my own pocket over a period of 2/3 years is only slightly more than what I paid for my first car even though this newer car is worth over double the price 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @DSGDemons
      @DSGDemons  4 года назад +9

      Yeah bro I always go for PCP because I’ve never kept a car for more than 12 months, so the modifying rule doesn’t apply in that case as you sell the car to either a trader or another seller before the term ends! PCP actually makes more sense than buying cash, as you’re essentially paying 20k for a depreciating asset when you pay cash and anything could go wrong with it and you could lose a lot of not all of your money. With pcp you have consumer rights protection and buyer protection

      The finance company aren’t the registered keeper bro, you are. It’s only with a lease deal where you are not the registered keeper. If you sell the car as long as you clear the settlement figure in full you can pay it off whoever you want, even one day after buying the car if you really wanted! And nice one for the compliments bro

    • @jagjourdan

      DSG Demons thing is when you buy a car through pcp with the intention of selling it after a year you run the risk of the car falling into negative enquity whereby the value left on the finance after 12 months is more than what you can sell the car for. Especially if you’re doing a lot of miles

    Is there like a 6k payment at the end of the PCP? Because the maths for your finance doesn't quite add up. Thanks for all the info, love the car!

    • @DSGDemons
      @DSGDemons  4 года назад +1

      Yes on a PCP deal you get a “balloon” payment which is basically the “guaranteed future value” of the car at the end of the term. If you keep the car that long, at the end of the term you have the option to pay the “balloon” payment and keep the car or you can hand it back and if the car is worth more than that balloon payment (it usually is) then you keep the positive equity or you can put it into your next car. Hope this helps!

    • @OmarAli-tx7dn
      @OmarAli-tx7dn 4 года назад +1

      @@DSGDemons That's very interesting, so you're not necessarily losing money from taking the car out on finance vs paying 20k cash? Or are you because of the interest

    • @DSGDemons
      @DSGDemons  4 года назад +2

      Yes essentially. The payments are calculated so you pay the depreciation and interest within the payments themselves, so at the end you are always positive basically. But you only pay interest on the payments you make and in my case I never keep the car longer than a year so I only make maximum 12 payments of interest on the car, when you settle the finance there is no interest included in the settlement figure; only in the monthly payments you make

I don’t need a lesson about it. That’s the reason why I stated there’s not much between them when you take launch control out and dsg when both are rolling. Your comparison needs to be apples to apples. Not on variable what ifs.

    • @KING0SISQO
      @KING0SISQO 2 года назад

      @@glasgowsgreen3942 yes. But your basing times which includes launch control. A manual golf r is over 5 seconds with 4wd drive. It’s a big difference over dsg. That’s why I said your comparison is not apples to apples. And then after that I said rolling is where they are pretty much the same.
      I’m not trying to say it’s as quick from 0-60. But it’s only 30hp slower and against a manual it’s not really quicker. A cupra is faster than a golf r rolling even the 280s as fast as a golf r but with slight edge. But these are all stock figures im referring to rolling. I would never try and and race a 4wd vs fwd. the race is finished before it got off.
