I don't know about everyone else, but I died when the train horn went off and he said 'here comes the brake clean delivery'
x2
My hearing isn't so hot, even with headphones on. I thought it was a delivery truck the first few times the train sounded.
You're not the only one. 😂. Didn't even skip a beat either.
These people want you to believe in one thing. Do things their way. Us guys never accept that. I know Eric deals with producers. He serves our cause. Let's not forget who we really serve. Our customers. Love you, Eric.
I appreciate the time that you take to ensure that we can see everything that is going on along with the excellent explanations.
Thanks for the video, Eric! Tip for anyone interested in ReadySmoke: make sure to add enough vapor producing fluid to your machine and the ReadySmoke will put out LOTS of smoke!
Another great video from Dr.O and as usual keep them coming.PEACE
Paul has that tool as well and he ended up taking the schrader valve out to make the machine out. But you made some good points why you don't take it out too. I've watched you long enough to notice that you do things differently up there that doesn't take place in the South or West. :)
Super Tech Eric, you make it look so easy, lol, we know better, thanks for the video, good job.
Your terminology used is funny. U make it enjoyable for your viewers
Bravo! Awesome video as always, great all the way
Great video!!!! Had me rolling especially the Vape comment reminded me of my classmates at Apex Technical School.
Man it just amazes me how cars and trucks rust up there compared to down here. I guess thats why they call it the rust belt.
Thank you eric, thanks Mrs 0 for the opinions of the floral Skittles
Good job, Eric
Magnehelic is 100% correct Mr O, if you where using this for HVAC air flow testing checking static pressure of your ductwork the smoke would be a great bonus to freak out the customer like hey lady there’s your problem
South main you rock. awesome videos keep them coming.. BIG HELLO FROM TORONTO CANADA. CHEERS.
Mrs O Awesome lady!
Glad to hear "Machine Gun Josh" is back for the summer!
Paul Danner used one recently and he had to pull the Schrader valve. Couldn't get the flow with it in.
I'm glad you pointed out the amount of smoke it was putting out. I thought it was just me but the volume of smoke was weak. I have a older bluepoint and that thing smokes.
The lack of smoke was just an issue of not enough oil in the machine-- once Eric added the right amount of oil the ReadySmoke smokes beautifully! He made a second video where you can really see the difference: ruclips.net/video/PWgopQbXRGE/видео.html
Watched part one and two. Thank you for the informative video.
Great video Eric. Hello Mrs O !!
Good trick with the laser!!! i would not have thought of that!
Yep, Josh is back.
There are smaller holes in the titanic another great video Eric.
Sorry to brown nose but I learn so much on this channel watching you about diaging vehicles wish I could work with you but keep the vids coming
Great video eric
When you put your flashlight at just the right angle, I could see the smoke just pouring out. Good size hole, like throwing a hot dog down a hallway
A smoke machine that brings back the memories of burnt crayons a candle a wine bottle and dripping burnt crayon yup the good old days
Ah, finally found one of your videos that may just have fixed my 07 Chevy with the idiot light on calling for a EVAP valve failure. Haven't bothered dealing with it, but not going through another winter trickling gas into the tank so the gas pump won't shut off in -10 degree weather.
love your show, good not to screw in gas cap before looking for leaks.
I have a OTC leak tamer just like the one you got. That easy intake would pair nicely with my smoke machine... 😎
Btw Mr. Eric O have i told you that you have the best RUclips channel in the World. 😉
Thanks for the video.
Great video bro. Keep up the good work.
It's funny to watch this today because I just replaced fuel pump fuel filters and injectors that was completely dirty because of all that Rush got into the gas tank and I was just looking at smoker videos
Notifications ohhhh yeah. Great video as usual 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Redline smoke machine I have is round. I like that Easy Intake, never seen one of those before.
Your are correct. The other machine puts out a denser plume!!. One demerit for Redline!!!
There wasn't enough oil in Eric's machine -- just a little user error! ;) He made a second video showing just how much smoke the ReadySmoke puts out now: ruclips.net/video/PWgopQbXRGE/видео.html
Good find and fix
Great video I need this after I get my autel
Very good!
I went on Amazon and priced your new toy. $875.00?! Wow! I found a video on how to make your own for about $25 which is good for the home mechanic, but I realize your a professional and you demand the best. That's some collection of scan tools you have, it's like anything else their obsolete before you know it. BTW great video as usual.
At 3:49 you said something very funny...LOL.
I was thinking it was leaking somewhere around the gas cap. Man that salt tears these trucks up big time. Here in Cali we have none of that salt rust crap but the smog laws are so tight you can't even believe it. The smog guy was under my truck for 20 minutes with a flash light so determined to find a problem despite no DTC's at all. They are seriously smog Nazi Gestapo here in Cali and they hate my old 96 Silverado 4by4 passing every damn time LOL.
Nice work Eric
I totally agree with you on the test port. Use the Donger one. Any who. Have you seen Snap-Ons schmoker. You can use nitrogen and Co. With a wireless on off switch? One of these days they will listen to you like EF Hutton. Oh yeah that vapin line was hilarious.
Great job
96 ranger 3.0 this truck only has 1 Vac line coming off the upper intake leading to the canister and purge valve! I kept getting evap leak code so i look at the fuel tank and gringe!!! So after dropping the tank i discovered it was not the tank at all! It was the fuel vent valve on top of the tank! It seem's some idiot at ford thought it would be a good idea too put that vent valve line into the frame =\ and the line from the tank to the vac line is only 2 inches long making it very hard to see or even find unless you drop the tank or lift the bed! Oh and great vid Eric thumbs up buddy keep gettin dirty =)
I can see the smoke very well 👍
Hi Eric love your show...…. just when I think I know enough about an issue to take care of it my self,
something else gets tossed in to the mix. that smoke machine, when back in the day when I was a kid, early 50_s. Lionel had smoke pills / pellets, today they have liquid, it comes
in different fragrance's today. so if you like you can sweeten it up some. your smoke machine.
Danner had to use his teeth to get his oil plug out...LOL !!...I just received mine last week...found a pretty good leak on my 01 Corvette PCV...oh, and that Easy Intake is great !!
That's cool, Eric. My dealer's main shop has a Redline smokepro machine, it works well. I'm guessing that the factory supplied machine either is broke, lost, or someone stole it. My dept, used cars, does'nt have all the equipment that we need yet, but we're working on it. I wish that they were'nt so expensive.
The sound of Josh... rapid fire style... ☺
Get some Josh, get some.
Good videos Eric. The filler pipe can be ‘fixed’ by hose clamping a piece of rubber over the hole, I am not sure if that Chevy rust bucket is worthy of a new filler neck.
I seen the smoke at the right of the filler neck. I suspect mines bad too,so it's cool I seen this.
Brake clean delivery, that was as funny as when Hannah pulled out the brake clean! Lmao!
I died when Eric said "shove it in your gas hole"

What scanner are you using in the video? Not the MK808 correct? looks like the ms906, if so what are the main differences from those two scanners.
Jay P I believe Eric uses the MS908, not the 906. The 908 has scope capabilities. The 906 doesn't. Not sure about the 808.
There's my laser beam. Sharks with lasers.
MS908 Pro. The scope can be added to all of the Autel tablet units as it is a stand alone unit that uses the tablet for display. None of the Autels have the scope "built in" like Snap-On.
Blazer02LS I beg to differ. No hookup on my MS906 for a scope unless it can be done using the charging port. Nowhere in the manual does it mention this either. If you know for sure that I can connect a scope through the charging port, then I will definitely purchase a scope.
Schmockin', right up to Mrs.O's looks to you at the end.
"Can I use it? Naw! You don't wanna see that thing! People will make rude comments if you do."
Lol that made me laugh.
Granny is right 🚚👍
, infrared gun show up pretty good to heat signature it should show a tip dropped in the temperature from the smoke and show up on the screen
8:30 earned the thumb
Just a FYI, your Austin Powers laser beam impersonation gets four out four stars. Thanks for sharing.
My smoker has the smell of a well done sirloin.
Well done sirloin? That's sinful!
This thing sure beats my paint can smoker, lol. 😂 You certainly get what you pay for in automotive diagnostic tools!
Been a long time since I tossed a half a crayon on the ol' wood stove as a kid. Dad wasn't too happy about that ... and neither was mom once the smoke wafted upstairs ...
I like the compact size of that smoker. Beats lugging around a huge one. Storage is always an issue around here with my inability to say NO to free stuff, HAHAHA! Neighbors are placing bets on how long before I fill up my new shop to the point where I'm working outside again ... 🤣
Dandelion wine is an old neighborhood staple around here, from what the ol' timers tell me. Unfortunately, nobody has a recipe that I can copy. My entire 2 acre lawn is one big dandelion field, so no shortage of those suckers, lol. Everyone says it's bitter, but I must see for myself! 😜
RUclips Big Brother hears Eric say “Gas Hole”, instantly demonetizes video.
Does the system have to be closed to use a smoke machine?
sorrty thats all i got for now, lol, you're the best.
Sooooo many funny comments that I could make right now :-)
Thanks for your time! And did the new gas filler fitting fix the problem?
they need a "glazed donuts" smell oil
You can also use it to check your blood pressure when those RUclips callers won't stop calling 😆
Lol! That vape joke
I love it . Just can't afford $800. for this.
You can do a lot better than $800. I've seen ReadySmokes online for like $539 with free shipping from reputable tool supply houses.
Talking about dandelion wine, I was visiting a friend in WVA some years back and met a couple who invited me to their home for a party in Winchester VA. They broke out a bottle of this fellow's mother's dandy wine. It was superb. Smooth, tasty and sweet. I even bothered to get the recipe although I never endeavored to make it myself. By the way how do either of you know the smell of melted crayons?
Dandy wine is god stuff for sure :) as far as the crayons.... we have 3 kids and a wood stove. It's bound to happen ;)
Dang, cars don't have a chance in New York. I never saw a gas door so rusted like on this car. Do they spread salt in the summer too. Geeez Louise. "Whatever they call that thing. You're killing me.
It seems to me the Smoke Wizard is a better machine from AES for about the same price. It has all the features of this unit but also gives you UVultra trace dye and UV light, flow control and the pres/vac guage. They are also the oem approved supplier with some cars. Just my opinion though.
At the price they want for that sucker they should call it HOLY SMOKE!!
It’s made in the USA not China! Should last a long time
mrs os the best as well, back againlol
At 16:00 minutes, good to see you got the sticker Eric! That ready smoke looks like a pretty decent tool. Nice to see it’s made in the good ole USA. Great video.
your so lucky to share miss o life
Copenhagen wintergreen! My man!
Melted crayons is a familiar smell in this household! Great to hear Josh working awY in the background too!
Same here haha/ Kids and a woodstove, it's gonna happen :)
worse when its in a pocket in the clothes dryer!!!
i was about to say, wait until you get a dryer full of clothes coated, but richard cranium beat me :))
Yes and stuffed into the radiator where it can't be reached ... Oh the joys 😂
I just can't understand why these smoke machines are so expensive.
With the smoke and the laser, you could turn of the lights, fire up the machine and put on a Pink Floyd CD for Laser Floyd! Smoke a few CV axle boxes for the full effect and you got a good time!
Bruce L. Hahaha! Only aftermarket CV axle boxes though. The OE boxes don't shtank like reefer according to Dr. O.
mostly mexico- the paper in the boxes are made with hemp
If you rip one apart there isn't much in there. Heating element, wick (for wire) or oil pot (for glow plug), pressure regulator, flow meter, gauge a fuse and a switch. Some do have thermal switches for over loading. I think the biggest thing is getting them to meet the OEM standards. The odd thing is that while I have seen a few that have blown up (let fuel vapor into the heat chamber by leaving the tool connected as it cools down and creates a vacuum, re apply power and POP) I cannot recall ever seeing a case where the smoke machine was at fault for damage to a vehicle.
I built my own using a steel ammo can from Walmart and a lp gas regulator, wick and heat element wire and the wick is submerged in mineral oil. I would say it puts out easily 70% more and thicker smoke than this one. No gauge yet but am going to add one.
Duc Rider, you should make a video of how you made it. I'd be very interested in seeing it.
You could always ask what the long deal would be on a train car load of brake clean, probably a siding near by to drop it off.
After 2 Chevy dealer and 2,000 buck s
O3 Chevy light is still on
Trying to buy a smoker!
Just wondering if you could substitute the fluid for castor oil? Ive heard that produces white smoke?
I love "The Brakkleen Delivery" when the train horn blew! Great Video! Mrs. O is in it too. We had one of original smoke machines by Redline which got a lot of use at work, until someone borrowed it and didn't bring it back! Dirtbags!
Great machine!
Where did you hook up the smoke connector? to the purge line going to the engine intake manifold or to the purge line goin to back to the charcoal canister and gas tank?
That rust is PAINFUL to look at !!!!!! I've been in SoCal too long . . . . .
It's not just that, it's the metal they use now, it's cheap and doesn't hold up long. Reminds me of the stories my dad told me about the old Chevy Vega's, used metal so cheap that they almost literally rusted to nothing. You're lucky if you find one still intact.
I wonder if you could add food dye to color the smoke making it easier to see, such as a nice Violet blue color?
Eric, from my experience using leaving the Schrader valve in usually means less smoke through the system. It makes it near impossible to find the small EVAP leaks that way. Have you seen the same thing?
TBH Joe I have never had an issue. I do several EVAP problems a week too. However 90% of mine are pattern failures so I know where to look most of the time. I will keep that in mind if one mops the floor with me though :)
I get the pattern failure thing for sure. Just had a few with small leak codes and couldn't find a leak without removing it. Maybe it was coincidence...Great video either way man.
Eric O, what’s the part number for “Big Nasty”? Thank you in advance!
Eric, if I may ask what was the estimate you gave your customer for the filler neck replacement? I have a car that I think needs the same repair and want an expert opinion on what I should are looking at. I also have a small evap leak. Unfortunately I don't have the $ for a Ready Smoke ($500) or a Autel Maxisys ($2,500). Thanks for your great videos!
Eric, Your link takes me to another Redline unit on Amazon, unable to find the Ready Smoke. Is this a new product not ready for sale yet?
Love the adlibs made me laugh
hi eric, 2 things wrong in the same system the one was never fixed then another one happened key thing here is verify the fix you did this and then found the second....I didn't think the smoke production of the redline was very good though as bad as that chevy was it was still goin!! chevy baby!!
I called redline about it and they had me add more fluid to it. It is 100 times better now!
oh ok good it looks like a good machine...or you would have to get some vape juice from one of those kids out there!
During a intake smoke test is it common for the smoke to escape out of the dipstick ?
Do the fluids come in pumpkin spice?
Great video Eric as always. I wonder if there's something else you could put in the liquid to make the smoke Bellow more or does the machine just not get hot enough?
Hi John, this was actually just a case of the machine not having enough oil in it. We had Eric add more oil and now it puts out a dense, high volume of smoke :)
any concerns using shop air to EVAP test?
I ain't judging, I'm asking.
Time for a new truck
