From one MIT grad to another -- thanks! Very helpful to see this breakdown. Ours is going on 12 years, and I'd like to get another 12 out of it.

Thank you for your video. I have had my DD for 20+ years and even though only the bottom unit is working right now, I still have a working dishwasher. I am trying diagnose a water leak in the top drawer. I assumed the lid actuators but I will check the hose too. Thanks again for sharing.

Amazing! Find it mind blowing how companies have water and so many live wires running next to each other without any real dividers between!! Especially around the motor looks like a hazard, a split in the drain pipe could presumably result in flooding the motor while it's running and a potential house fire!?!?

Very informative video. I am in the process of trouble shooting my DD603 problem. It does not drain all the water out at the end of the cycle. I replaced the motor rotor but that did not help The hoses do not seem to be clogged either. I used your method of draining the water with the diagnostic P2 function. The motor turns but does not drain. If I shut the power off and on, then the P2 function drains OK. Have you seen this problem.

Thank you for the awesome video! I do have a couple questions. 1) Our unit is the same model DD603 and has been in use since 2005. I don't see evidence of a leak but we have anywhere from 2-4 cups of water collects at the bottom of both washers after a wash cycle. Could a kinked drain line be the problem or could it be something else? 2) I cannot get the drain function to occur like shown by pressing the two buttons simultaneously. Instead, a timer icon shows up and I can select how many hours to delay a wash cycle. I tried both top and bottom units.
