    Thank you so much. We were lost until we found this video and were able to take it apart and put it back together. We priced a new dishwasher and it was 900.00. We spent 59.00 for our part.

    This was a very well done tutorial. My husband and I followed it step by step and had it done in less than an hour. Thank you very much!!!

    This was perfect. Life saver and it's 2021 now so you will never probably get this but thanks so much anyways. Our hose started popping off the faucet, Sears wants $89 just to come out and tell us it's the hose and if I refuse, and after they quote me $200 for a hose I refuse they still charge me $89 for the advise. A hose is $100. Thank you.

    GREAT VIDEO!!! Also ...when you discard your old portable dishwasher, remove the hose coupler off of it. Save yourself 90.00. Another quick way to fix this issue much quicker...cut the hose coupler off and splice the old one in..A mouse bit through one of our hoses..I just spliced it in...Worked for years. I spliced it about 3 ft below coupler so it can't be seen.

    I'm so glad I found this video! I was afraid we were going to have to give up having a dishwasher because the coupler stopped staying on the faucet. Now I know we can fix it! Thank you so much!

    Thanks so much. I got my parent's old GE Viscount dishwasher, which they got in the 80's sometime. I have been using it for about 8 years, but the collar on the coupler is cracked almost all the way through, so I ordered a replacement hose set. This video is exactly what I needed before starting to install the new part. Thanks again.

    So this video was entirely wrong for my GE portable dishwasher. I had to remove the top which was correct. But I had to do that first. The on the back of the unit there were 2 screws on the bottom that had to be removed and the two screws on the top under the Formica top had to come out last. Then You need to remove the sound reduction insulation to get at the hoses, The hose connection is basically the same except I had to trim the replacement hose down to fit snugly. All and all it was not that hard of job, I wish I had the foresight to video it. The GE dishwasher model I have is a Nautlius. I hope this help with you repair.

    On ours (GSC3500D35WW) there were two screws at the front under the top to remove first ... removed the top. Took out two screws at the top front holding the sides on and then the two at the bottom rear.
    Sides came off easily lifting it off two tabs at the front.
    We replaced the funnel fill and gasket and were surprised it was fixed so easily. No more leaks.

    thank you, worked great. Small problem on my side: was left with multiple screws. The "bucket" was different. I also had to break the part where the power cord is since it was welded inside. Worked! Sort of...

    no need to take the cabinet all apart, before you pull the old ones out, tie a string to them. Pull out old ones, tie string to new ones and pull out to where they attach. Presto, no cabinet removal.

    When I connect the hose to the faucet and turn on the water, it will spray from the top and then pop off, do you think I need a new hose or is it an issue with the faucet? It used to stay in but now it won't. I even tried a new faucet adapter

    Thanks for the video. One comment/question. Maybe I just missed it, but when I tilted the dishwasher on its side, some water came out. Not from the hose that I could tell, but I'm guessing from the inside. It wasn't a huge amount, but two or three cups worth probably. Wasn't sure if there was a tip for that. THanks again!

    • @partselect
      @partselect  9 лет назад

      Mark Mueller There will normally be some water left in the sump portion of the pump that you cannot see. Good point and I do believe that we neglected to mention it. Thanks for your tip.

    My problem is that the unicoupler wont stay on the faucet. I tried changing the adapter and it still wont stay on. Because of covid i can’t go anywhere and no one can come to my house. I think I need a new coupler but it can’t be purchased separately. The new coupler is available with the hoses attached to it for 179.00. Is it worth repairing a 16 year old dishwasher? A new one, even if i can find one is 900 including taxes. I don’t know what to do...sigh.

    Why are there concrete blocks fitted in the bottom of the dishwasher?

    • @MHow-qc3ns
      @MHow-qc3ns 5 лет назад

      Nick Williams: I would guess that the concrete blocks prevent the machine from tipping to the front when the dishwasher door is opened to load or unload dishes. Just a guess but I would write or call customer service at GE and ask your question. When you get your answer will you please post it here so all of us will know what the answer is. Thank you.

    DO NOT ATTEMPT AND ADD AN EXTENSION. EVEN WITH THE BRAIDED 5/8 DIAMETER INTERIOR HOSE FROM LOWES, I GOT BUSTS AND LEAKS BECAUSE OF THE PRESSURE THE UNIT EXERTS ON THE LINE. I ATTEMPTED BOTH AT 9 FOOT AND APPROXIMATELY 5. NOW I HAVE TO REORDER THIS PART.
