This is one of my favorite movies. There is a reason why Ben Affleck and Matt Damon won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for this movie. If I remember correctly Ben Affleck is the youngest person to win in this category, and Matt Damon is the second youngest to win.
Really good reaction. Some people don't fully grasp how powerful the scene was when Sean was telling Will "it's not your fault". Will need to hear that and it was being repeated because he was not really understanding that it's wasn't his fault.
Why do people dump on Will for not wanting to immediately agreeing to change his entire world and break probation for a girl he has only known a few weeks? And flowers to Damon for playing Will honestly. It is one thing to HEAR that a character is guarded and defensive but another for an audience to actually experience the main character being what everyone says he is. Most audiences don't want to see a character being barbed and unlikeable and most actors want play a person like that and risk losing the warmth an audience has. Damon played him honestly and props to him.
Oh this is Ben Affleck’s and Matt Damon’s break out film and they wrote the script! Robin Williams is an amazing comedian. And is true that comedians are perfect at portraying real life drama.

But I do think both this and perks of being a wallflower are heartbreaking but also uplifting so it does soften the blow a little 🩷

This is one of my favorite movies, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :) Also, in regards to a recommendation, I'd highly recommend checking out the show "Arcane", it's fantastic, with beautiful animation, an emotional story with complex, interesting characters, and just overall so, so well done, it's another one of my favorites. Also the second season is scheduled to come out in November, so it's a good time to check it out leading up to that! :)
Great reaction, but I will disagree with you one thing. The math professor? He's not the bad guy and he's not selfish. He's not trying to help will out of some sort of personal gain. He legitimately thinks that Will can change the world and he desperately wants to help him realize that potential. There's nothing wrong with trying to push a young person into realizing their potential - his only mistake was not listening to Sean's input as well The Prof AND Sean are both the good guys - they are just operating from two different sides. The only bad guy in this movie is Will's insecurity

Yes I grew up watching a lot of these like Color Purple (kinda, my mom watched it a lot), The Secret Life of The Bees, What’s love Got To Do With It and Hidden Figures. I also did a reaction to Moonlight and a commentary video to Black Panther 2 (as I went to see the first and this one several times in theater). A lot of the black films I’ve seen through and through because I’m a black individual to the core of my being lol I only do reaction to the “white cinema” because I’ve never heard of or seen them before but thank you for this and I hope that I was able to shed light on your concern. Crazy part is alot of the black cinema I tend to watch with my family which is why alot of it I don’t cover on my channel but I definitely can give variety if I haven’t seen it. Do you have any more suggestions? Because I will gladly add them to my list and make them a priority.
