When I worked at a coffee shop in Beverly Hills, I made a coffee and called out “Logan,” and Logan Lerman-Charlie-came around and gave me that smile and said, “Thank you.” As soon as he turned around I started crying. All I saw was Charlie. 😭❤️
This is my favorite movie ever. sadly i can't watch it alone bc it's also a trigger for me, but it's beautiful and i love it, one of the best adaptations I've ever seen
This was one of my favorite books growing up and I was so happy they were able to make it into a movie that did it justice since it was directed by the author. There is a deleted scene (also in the book) I wish they kept in though where Charlie finds out his sister is pregnant and ends up going with her to get an abortion. She was crying and so scared but he comforted her and promised not to tell their parents and even brought her food and a blanket after and just told her to rest and it was so sweet 😭 It really showed their relationship more and made his phone call to her at the end more impactful because she trusted him to help her in a crisis and he trusted her to do the same for him ❤ One thing that breaks my heart is all the hints of what happened to Charlie. How he doesn’t feel he has much agency when it comes to romantic/intimate situations and doesn’t realize he can say “no” to Mary Elizabeth or that he doesn’t want to be with her. He barely has any reaction when Patrick kisses him too and just lets it happen instead of pulling away or telling him to stop. And also the way his brain tries to protect him from those memories of his aunt by him believing she loved him so much😭 Just breaks my heart and I’m glad you appreciated the movie so much and wanted to protect Charlie. He is too sweet. Sorry you didn’t have a warning for the heavy subject matter though as I know it can be a lot! At least I knew from the book what to expect!
This is one of my all time favorite movies. Something so heartbreaking but truthful, is how realistic they depict life. Most movies or shows, follow a main character that the audience is rooting for. But here, when Charlie messes up, despite us, the audience feeling bad for him because of his trauma, realistically his friends don’t know anything about that. They just see him for his actions and what they can see on the outside. So regardless of him being the main character, the movie does a great job showing that the “side characters” have JUST as much complexity as the main character. The hard truth is that even when tragedy hits us, life moves on. The world isn’t revolved around us. So while our friends and family obviously care about us, they are dealing with their own demons and “plot line” outside of our own. Time moves on, people move forward. And this movie captures the essence of Sonder.
Yeah, this movie will break your heart no matter how many times you've seen it! It's so beautiful and painful and hopeful and real. Just to clarify, Patrick didn't know Charlie would kiss Sam when he gave him that dare. He expected him to kiss Mary Elizabeth, that's why he was so shocked. He assumed (as one would) that he would consider his girlfriend the prettiest girl in the room. We the audience can see the crush Charlie has on Sam, but they can't.
I was 15 when this movie came out, and I will never forget the way I broke down at the reveal. I was literally sobbing in the theatre. Charlie embodies how difficult it can be as a seemingly normal quiet/socially awkward teen, while still dealing with not only his own trauma but his older sister's. Younger siblings tend to hurt when their older siblings are in pain.
I’ve only been subscribed for a week but I have to say you are my new favorite channel. You pretty much like all the movies I like and are willing to try things outside your comfort zone. I can tell you truly listen to your viewers. Anyways, I’m bout to make a cup of tea and watch this emotional roller coaster. ❤
There is nothing that breaks a b'tch more than this movie. That scene of Charlie trying to stop crying has created its own trauma and wound in my heart and I can't even watch a reaction without crying. Thank you sister for this moment...I understand every emotion you felt. So much love from South Africa.
This film (and book) is so special. I’m very much like Charlie. I didn’t go through what he went through, but I had an extremely close relationship with a narcissist/sociopath for years when I was a kid/teenager. I was emotionally traumatised. But, like Charlie, I was so confused and refused to accept what had happened to me because of my love for that person. This story portrays trauma and abuse so perfectly, even the language surrounding it like “getting bad again” “seeing it all the time” is so true to the language I use about my own trauma. The character of Charlie (in fact all of the characters) is amazingly written. I watch this film whenever I feel alone, and then I remember there are people who have had experiences just like me and feel the way I do and that is so important.
This movie and book is so important to me as someone who went through the same as Charlie and Sam. I remember the feeling of watching this movie at the cinema with my mom and being so overwhlemed by emotions i couldnt explain to them
My guilty pleasure is watching movie reactions and I have recently stumbled across this channel . I just want to say how well you understand and react to even the tiniest details of movies . Much love brother stay safe
The book helped me stay alive in high school, giving me hope for my future. When the movie came out it became a favorite comfort movie when it depressed
There are few very few material things I hold close to me in life, one of them is my 1934 Royal Model O Typewriter that my favorite teacher, and at the time best friend, gave to me the year we read this book as a class. I was Charlie in more than every way, and this story showed me that I wasn't alone. This will always be one of my favorite films. Also, girl- 22:55 TOOK ME OUT 🤣- You have a new subscriber for life.
I love Charlie and this book/movie so much my daughter is named Charlotte Grace, but we all call her Charlie. She's 7, so of course she's never seen the movie, but he's just such a great person character. I was also inspired by Charlie from "The West Wing". So many greats Charlies.
you are so beautiful! every time you cried, i cried. this was one of my favorite books & it’s definitely a beautiful movie. happy that you’re here ❤ keep going!
I really appreciate how you understood so quickly what Aunt Helen did to Charlie. You caught all the hints before they actually cleared it up. Loved your reaction to this movie, it is one of my all-time favourites. ♥️
Vampire diaries came out before this movie, and when she was acting in this movie she was acting in vampire diaries too for season 4 at the same time she must have been busy in 2012
Love this reaction ❤❤❤ Also the album Charlie gave Sam for Christmas was a Beatles album. What was special about it is it was the gift Charlie's aunt was bringing for him the night she died. You can see in the passenger's seat when her car got hit 😭
OMG, not Addison Sheppard!!! Just hearing that name again took me way back to college circa '05-09 and having “Private Practice” and “Grey's Anatomy” watch parties with my friends! The nostalgia hit me like a sack of bricks and made me tear up. My, how time flies. Thanks for the fond memories, my guy!🥲
"A walk to remember"... Youll remember it the rest of your life. I have 3 boys and when they were younger they all loved it and so did I. Better have the tissues ready! Seriously though, it's sooo good!
I loved your reaction! I want to take Charlie and put in a sweet place and protect him too. I think you'd love to watch the series One Day, is such a beautiful and real story of love
I just found your channel and I love it! You are such a sweet soul. I love this movie. I read the book in college and was so excited when I heard they were making it into a movie. This is such a fantastic adaptation and I usually watch it around the holidays. I love seeing people react to this one. Can't wait to watch more of your content.
Honestly this is my favourite reaction to this movie, its a a movie i hold really close to me and seeing how it touched you made even me tear up despite having watching it so many times. I love your reactions and your channel please keep doing what you're doing, its amazing.
awesome reaction !! Charlie needs to he protected, also quick long rant: the books even sadder because we see more of what type of emotional person Charlie is, a scene i think about is, in the book, Charlie tells the teacher about darek hitting candice and teacher tells parents who make candice break up with darek she she claims to be in love, we get this scene that tells the type of person Charlie is "My mom then went into the kitchen to make my sister’s favorite thing to eat, and my sister looked at me. “I hate you.” My sister said it different than she said it to my dad. She meant it with me. She really did. “I love you,” was all I could say in return. “You’re a freak, you know that? You’ve always been a freak. Everyone says so. They always have.” “I’m trying not to be.” Then, I turned around and walked to my room and closed my door and put my head under my pillow and let the quiet put things where they are supposed to be." also, about the song Charlie gave sam, it wasn't the tunnel song, it was a record disc his aunt Helen gave to him it has a very pretty song and Charlie wanted to give it to someone who was just as pretty as the song, so he gave it to sam
sadly Charlie reminds me so much of my son. trying to guide him through this tough world now-a-days, especially with the world looking at everything you do with social media, is hard.
I send you both so much love and strength 💙 I can only imagine what that must feel like as a parent but you’re doing amazing Queen. Keep loving on him, encouraging him and speaking positivity over his life. He will grow up to be a great man one day 💙🫶🏾

Hence the cassette mixtapes, fashion, closets............ etc. -The vinyl Charlie gives Sam at Christmas was the one his aunt Helen got him for his birthday the night she died (implied?). I think it's also implied that when she told him she was leaving to go get it, it was already in her car. That might just be me though. -Charlie did say his truth out loud. It was supposed to be a fun question but after that Patrick restated "truth or dare" as to mean "you're supposed to tell the truth or pick a dare"; maybe hoping in the moment that Charlie was taking a joke to far. So when he swapped to dare, Patrick was attempting to save Charlie by telling him to kiss the prettiest girl in the room: because who wouldn't pick their own partner? 😬
I cried so hard the first time I watched this movie and I was about to cry again watching this😭. Charlie is so sweet!! Definitely looking forward to a New Moon Reaction
you NEEEED to read the book, it seriously changed my brain chemistry and it goes so much more in depth and there’s a bunch of really important scenes that were cut from the movie (for some reason….)

I was Charlie too once, and i also met my "Patrick and Sam" in highschool who took me away out of my lonely life when i had to battle all of my family problems by myself and had no friends to talk about it. Now I'm 26 and we all still best friends eventho we rarely meet now and can't talk everyday like we used to be cause we live far away from each other now. But we all still gonna be there when we need one another❤
I know you're about the get wrecked but damn if I didn't laugh multiple times at the editing. Thanks for that and take care. Throwing your bracelet...epic. 😂

Please react to eternal sunshine of the spotless mind it’s one of my favorite movies of all time it has an amazing cast and it’s a love story with a great plot and great music. Also love your reactions thanks for all of the great videos
You’re 29?!?? I thought you were like 22 this whole time ! 🤣🤣 Anyways I love your empathetic reactions. Def feels genuine from your laughing to the tears. But you should react to Rocky Horror Picture Show now! Esp if you like musicals. It’s so campy and great
There is such truth in this film about how some are affected by childhood trauma. Glad you reacted to it and cried at all the right times.
yes! we must acknowledge them 🥹 my poor heart.
So so so glad you acknowledged Sam. Many reactors dont get it or dont care about her story
trust me I try to be as vigilant as I can to the story that I’m watching and her story was just as important as Charlie’s
Finallyyyy someone understand my love for charlie, he is so precious 😭❤️
Like omg 😭 I would protect that baby with my entire life!!
“I will grip you by your braces” 💀
I cried just watching this reaction, I adore this movie one of my faves yet I can rarely bring myself to watch it. Messes me up every time 😭

OMG PLSSS I HOPE HE REACTS TO ROCKY HORROR!!!
the way you DISAPPEARED when he kissed her instead had me DYING LMAOOO

I clicked so fast! One of my favorite movies. “We accept the love we think we deserve”…one of the best quotes in any movie 😢
The record Charlie's aunt gives him that he gives Sam: the Beatles' "Something"
The tunnel song: David Bowie's "Heroes"
~~~^.^
He at the very least assumed he would have the social knowledge to kiss his gf in that scenario even if he found another girl more beautiful
Such a great and sad movie😭😩🙌🏾 The acting was phenomenal😮💨
PHENOMENAL! Like I cut it out of my outro but listennn the acting especially from Logan (Charlie) was out of this world.
Love this movie.
And I'm guessing you need to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Movie suggestion - a Simple Favor. Such a fun movie.
since you liked She's the Man, you would like Sydney White with Amanda in it. Its one of my faves of hers. Also What a Girl Wants is a good one.
Please react to eternal sunshine of the spotless mind it’s one of my favorite movies of all time it has an amazing cast and it’s a love story with a great plot and great music. Also love your reactions thanks for all of the great videos
You’re 29?!?? I thought you were like 22 this whole time ! 🤣🤣
Anyways I love your empathetic reactions. Def feels genuine from your laughing to the tears. But you should react to Rocky Horror Picture Show now! Esp if you like musicals. It’s so campy and great
