I came in on khan's so this was definitely a fun video to watch rudy. I have si many of those garbage cards, cause one of the nice things about the magic community is that when you're a new player, people give you cards. I have a whole stack of bulk khan's rares in my room right now. This is my nostalgia set right here. ❤
Thanks for the blast from the past, Rudy. Khans was the last set I played and drafted heavily. What happens when the costly cards people bought for standard rotate out? They give Standard the middle finger and play Modern. Sure Liliana is $100, but at least she won't rotate on you. And hell yes I play Anafenza/Rhino/Wingmate in Modern, what?
Looking back at Khans, I can see what a juicy EDH/Commander set it was. It brought so much fun to the game, as well as made fetch lands a lot cheaper. Perhaps not the most money-stable set, but I still love it.
I believe they are remastering The Never Ending Story. How do you go about checking prices? Is there a site that has a list of the cards and prices or do you look them up individually?

I’ve got a question, but I doubt anyone can answer it. What does Rudy do with all the sets that aren’t good anymore? Like sets that have rotated out of standard and no one really wants them...does he just keep them in case they spike or does he gradually sell them to his patrons as box opening videos

And my Mizzix of the izmagnus deck uses 3 cards from this set... counter x, claw and the raid trigger copy spell effect :P Love them!
khans is my favorite set. the flavor and feel of the cards along with hiw fun they are to play make it one of magics better sets. the fetch lands defenitley help.
I can definetly see them rise in prise eventually cause allot of the rares and mythics are really good and have good interactions and I can see them being a staple in edh or modern

Jannik Bensen ding ding ding! Akroma was a morph card! Soul Collector- one of my own additions to Edgar Markov, is a morph card from Scourge- though I have no idea where Scourge is on the mtg timeline.
Watching people play with Treasure Cruise and Dig through Time before they were banned was hilarious.. I think foil Treasure Cruise got ridiculously expensive
i got one of those god boxes with 7 fetches + 1 Foil Fetch, a Sarkhan, and all the good $2-4 rares. Then I opened like 15 more boxes chasing the dragon and got stuck with like a billion worthless rares lol.

Post Tarkir is prolly the worst mtg era for stock quality.

Dragon Throne of Tarkir is such a boss EDH beatdown card. Literally destroys in a swarm deck. Can kill all three opps in one swing with Thousand Year.
With morph it really popped in dragons with deathmist raptor
I would prefer returning to Tarkir than returning to Ravnica again.
