    Blame the state for raising taxes, electricity, water, sewer, garbage, etc adding more and more expensive regulations, limiting amount rent can be raised, adding fees to materials and services. The only way rent can be raised enough to cover rising costs is to kick out the current tenant and get a new one. No housing provider wants to do that, it add expense and much risk. But they are forced to do it because of the greedy heartless state.

    The strategy of the Lees is to move in for Sox months as is required by law and rent the place for an exorbitantly high price. I have seen that strategy play out all the time. The renters can do nothing about it. People have right to their property but not to their rented place.

    • @nepalidude
      @nepalidude 4 года назад

      @ltlblugrl If people are moving in for real to maintain residence in their rental property, that's okay, but if they are moving in for the sake of exhausting six-month residence required by law or ordinance, that's just manipulating the system and taking undie advantage at the expense of long term renters like this actor. We all know that there are people out there who take advantage of loopholes in the system and looks like the Lees are doing just about the same.

    I get why people rent a place, if you are new to an area you rent until you get settled in, or you rent when you are going to school, or you rent while you are looking for a place or you rent after you fell on hard times and trying to get your credit back in order. I rented for 6 months when my Mom lost her house, it was a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT for $500 MORE than my house payment is now and now I have a yard and few more bedrooms. Often home ownership is cheaper than renting. I have a garage now, before I had to pay for parking at a local parking lot as well. Renting sucked. When I was renting I couldn’t work on my own cars so I had to pay a me mechanic. It made everything cost more.

    Why would someone (an actor no less) rent an apartment their entire life? This guy should get over it & move on.

      @97RAVINEAVE yes he's 86. An 86yr old that has money & still rents!🤦🏾‍♂️ just stupid.

    Well if San Francisco did sell to Chinese from China there wouldn't be this issue. If your not a city you shouldn't be able to own just like in China

    Should've done what the Broadway actors in NYC do. Promote affordable housing and get on the list to live in those housing units meant for those who can't pay rent and pay a fraction of the markets rent. $$$

      Jerry Navarro it’s only going to get worse. My only suggestion for people is to put Gods kingdom first. His will bring peace and everlasting security. The rich may live their best life now but the oppressed will inherit the earth. They will own land without any more taxes or anything. This should be a wake up call to people. The problems in this world are only getting worse. Wake up.

    How is this news? Like, you’re a washed-up has-been with more success than most actors ever see, yet clearly didn’t capitalize on it when you had the chance. No story here...

    My dad bought a duplex on Church st in the early 1970s for $22k. He also bought a 2bd 1ba house in sunnyside in the 70s with high interest rates and his mortgage was $450 per month. He did this on a construction workers salary.

    shave some $$$ from the SF billion dollar homeless budget .
    hopefully to location where rent is half of san francisco.....
    that way you can house twice as many people for same cost
