Haas, for me, just look like a time with no purpose. They come in, idle around for 50 something laps, finish and just go home. Every other team has some sort of purpose which allows them to do well
@@df8340 do YOU watch F1? I’d love to hear your explanation on what you think Haas does well. They’ll get a decent quali placing every now and then just to end up P15 by lap 20. The amount of times I heard “and it’s the Haas…of Kevin Magnussen” this and last season is ridiculous. It’s almost impossible to expect anything good out of that team lol they’ve been riding off DTS for a while now but clearly they aren’t making any progress.
@@tiggie_96 I think you need to reread my statement, but haas certainly is trying. If you think they just show up to show up you’re sadly mistaken. If F1 were as easy as you stated merc, Ferrari, and Williams would just wave a finger and have the best car. That’s not how reality works But yes, new teams in most sports typically take about 10 years to get the footing. Haas was bad last year, but it’s still the same team that finished 5th a few years back.
Kravitz What does Ricardo breaking his wrist and then having Liam Lawson in when injured have to do negatively with the principal? What a dumb take….and replacing devries wasn’t a good move? Okay Ted
And kravitz pretty much just ranked these guys places they finished where the team finished 😂. He ranks vowels 6th? So those other 5 ahead are better???? How? They have more money and better staff and facilities that had nothing to do with vowels or say the principle of Ferrari…amateurs
How can you rate the team principals? We have no idea in terms of the context, all we see if the public face not leadership in private. Anyway there is a disclaimer at the start by Ted so that's all fine. Sky Sports.
Ranking the personnel who do the ranking....... Well I won't be brutal but this was not the team to produce clear insights. Muddled thinking, two pundits who inhabit opposite ends of the TV team yet offer similar levels of verbosity, mediated by a pleasant young man who appears out of his depth and intimidated by supposed "heavyweights". Some of the anecdotes were appreciated but the lack of brevity muddied the waters, surely the forum would have been better served by Sky members like Karun, Martin or Anthony.
Hopefully the FIA will up the minimum weight a kilo or so, encouraging the teams to "paint" (actually wrap) the cars any color but Black. It's dull and it's boring. And, the legend was never about the Black Arrows. Mercedes should always be the Silver Arrows.
You need to remember a team is only as good as its staff. If they pay peanuts, they get peanuts. Williams are very low on sponsorship money compared to the big teams.
Gunther SERVED HIS TIME !! HE WAS/IS AMAZING !!! HE PU HAAAAS ON THE MAP!! along with Gene Investment!! BUT THE SPORT IS EVOLVING and HAAAAS NEEDS TOO AS WELL !! .. would be great if they could have give him a marketing job in haaaas ( difficult i am sure) BUT Changes neeeds to happen for sure !! F1 Neeeeeds all teams being completive !!
just on the comment "Haas is an American team". Pretty sure nobody in America considers them an American team. They should just sell out to Andretti who might actually make them an American team. Or at least Andretti can't field a worse car than Haas.
Glad you prefixed the show with a disclaimer because some of the takes are quite wild and speculative. I'd imagine F1 journalist with access would actually be up to speed with all the information and perspectives...on Alpine and I am a red bull fan. Their problems are two folsy: the engine deficit which some teams don't want to.allow them make up and the ownership who don't seem patient to stick with a plan which keeps resetting the progress. In terms of car build when you consider how they performed on tracks that were aero dependent, they did well, which shows they have an idea of what could be achieved if allowed engine parity and stability in team management. Who needs zidane? If you understand a thing about French teams you'd know how big a deal it is infact more important to them than Hollywood or British golfing champions. The French love their own which is not a bad thing
absolutely agree with david, james is aestonishing at williams, even more impressive than the communication skills of vasseur. i think james is helping driver to perform at 100%, what red bull don't with their driver #2. plus, at red bull, car was designed for verstappen, and at williams, for albon, so it makes sense in a way that verstappen dominates alex and alex dominates logan. even is red bull swearing the 2 drivers has identical cars, there might be 1 driver's feedback who get more attention than the other 😄

Crofty being chicken by changing the rules from ranking to marking by himself.

I agree with Crofty about Alessandro
Gunth needs to sell to Andretti, he’s back to selling boats in f1 I think
Franz Tost threw his own people under the bus, that's a big deal. That's the opposite of what a good leader should do
Also shows that (on the flipside) that he's not afraid to point out what's wrong
Why was William's team strategy so bad ( Austria sprint, Zandervoort, etc) with an ex head strategist as its TP?
He’s said he’s not involved in strategy and only contributes when necessary based on his experience.
