Guenther is a rock star! He’s a big part of the Drive to Survive success and that in turn made Haas worth close to £1bn. Hopefully Gene cuts him a little slack these days.
100% thats the entire reason Guenther still has his job. No matter if it was Horner, Wolff or anyone else, they wouldve been sacked by now as TP of Haas. But Guenther is so valuable to the global brand it's made him immune to poor results 😂
Some people have given Guenther so much crap over Mick, and a lot of it has to do with their love of his father and wanting legacy, but legacy is no guarantee. Mick isn't going to be a great driver...because of his dad. He's going to be one if he has the skill within himself to do that. Everyone knew the cost cap, Mick crashed the cars on his own. Like what exactly did people want Guenther to do? You can't make a car better if you don't have the money because you're paying for repairs. I'm not saying Mick didn't do this, but you as the driver have to take on responsibility for your drive. No amount of hugs or screaming at a driver is going to improve them, they have to figure that out on their end and how to maximize their own performance.
(Hands up, backing away) I'm not arguing with someone who knows the facts because they were there and witnessed it first hand. You know more than I do based on that alone.
Like his personality and sense of humour. However, I have absolutely no idea how he's managed to stay in his role despite consistent failure in every season since 2018. No young drivers developed. No hope for car to even be a consistent midfield contender. No development on the commercial side of the team either. Haas are simply wasting a garage in F1 which would be much better off in the hands of an Audi/Porsche/other US manufacturer. They should either leave the sport soon or get their act together and hire team execs, engineers, and drivers which can actually give them some success in the future.
Literally all comes down to one thing and one thing only - his invaluable presence on D2S and making Haas a household name. He is arguably the most popular figure on one of the most successful shows in recent history. Guenther transcends the Haas brand. Getting rid of Guenther would withdraw the publics interest in the team entirely. So now youre left in a constant cycle of poor results but unable to make any changes at the top in fear of falling out of the public eye.

Love it! "I don't have to watch it, I was there " 😂
How hard must it have been for Gunenther not to swear for 45mins? Haha
I can't imagine how many times he had to force himself not to drop at least one 'W***ker'.
I think he took sedatives before 😅
Spoiler alert!
LOL
A very well conducted and entertaining interview. Guenther is refreshingly honest and has a great sense of humour. A credit to Motor Sport.
My favourite team boss by far. Honest and relatable. Top bloke 👏

I listened to this on Audible. Absolutely fantastic book. And very funny listening to his expressions as he describes events.
I wish more bosses were like Guenther. Brutally honest and supportive that the same time. They don't often go together well
a podcast with Guenther is something that you live for.
Fascinating interview, I like how down to earth he is, this podcast has been a breath of fresh air

He treated Mick like dirt

Guenther is a stand up guy 💪
Great video, legends both @gunter & @skysports
Always nice to hear Günter talk. Thank you for making this episode Sky!
Great interview, quite interesting.
Love you 👑Gunther👑!!!✌️😎🇨🇴
Great interview
hard worker
Love it all
The goat
Guenther Steiner speaking without the potty words? Is it even possible? 😂🤣
42:20
I honestly believe he's a better fit for ferrari than fred.
Gunther Steiner is funny, loud, quirky as somone else's manager.
The fun begins when he is your manager...thats when opinion changes...
The same can be said for anyone tbh
1 word for Haas, TOYOTA.
Guenther thinks he speaks perfect English, The English don't. :D HAHA

The real question is why he hasn't done the best thing for Haas and handed in his notice.
Because the team owner thinks he is doing a good job and is happy with him
Because he is a fokking legend
@@Lastname6955 🤣🤣🤣
Why? Only because he kept Schumacher too long?
He is the best thing for haas... he creates exposure for haas and its sponsors...lots of exposure
Günther has for me no value, because of the Mick Schumacher situation
You problem
Not impressed with him at all.
I dont think people are too impressed with your short with 3 views either
Gunter, why did you fire someone based on their nationality? Not very inclusive or diverse is it?
No he fired someone who wouldn’t be able to get in to different countries due to international sanctions
Also, he was a POS, daddy's a friend of an international criminal, and had the same ability as Stevie wonder would have if he became a racing driver.
