Never thought I would spend over an hour watching a car tutorial, but as a new nx 350 owner, here I am. I honestly can't think you enough for the time and effort you put into this video. There is a part in the video where you asked if our mind is blown about the seat memory features, but frankly my mind is blown from the quality of this tutorial. Thank you so much for this, actually excited to watch part 2!
Thanks so much, Eddie! Congratulations on your new NX 350! It is such an amazing new vehicle and I know there is a lot to learn. Thank you for tuning in with me to learn all about it!
What an extraordinary channel! Northside Lexus, and Melissa, deserve big kudos for putting so much time into researching and making such in depth and clear videos. I hope and trust that Lexus will notice the efforts put into this and find a suitable reward for your business. I give my personal thanks as a prospective NX owner in the UK.
Wow, thank you so much, Chris! I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos and very happy to help you learn all about your new NX! Thanks very much for your support!
Both videos are probably the best I have found, & as a prospective Christmas NX owner I will watch both again, probably more, as they are so well illustrated with the actions you need to carry out to perform the procedure. The scriptwriter / producer editor need a special mention too. All in all a really well made guide to the LexusNX I agree with others that Lexus could use these videos on their website & perhaps could reward you accordingly 😀 Of course presentation by Melissa was clear, & concise in every detail. It’s not often I watch a video of an hour & a half that’s so interesting to watch & well made. Thankyou (Half way through Part 2 Now)
Hi! Thanks so much for the supportive comments. I really appreciate it. I make the videos on my own, in my spare time between my other work responsibilities. I film on my iPhone and edit in iMovie. It isn't the most professional setup, but I make the most of it and I'm so glad the videos are helping so many people. Getting an NX for Christmas is an awesome idea! I'm very glad to get to help you learn all about it!
Wow this is such an amazing idea and so helpful. As a brand new Lexus owner coming from a very old car this is very informative, thank you for taking the time to go through all this!
i think you should say "well done northside Lexus. Not all Lexus dealerships are equal, I got my Lexus in Austin, the dealership/service department &Tech specialist sucks. Melissa O’Connell has done a fantastic job, without this video i have no clue what to do with my 2024 new Lexus.
Hi Melissa! Thank you so much for posting this video, I’ve learned so many new features on my NX that I had no idea were there. I will be sharing this video with my coworkers at North Park Lexus at Dominion! Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to see the next video soon!
Hi Kenny! Thanks so much for your support! I'm so glad I can help! I hope to have Part 2 out in a couple of weeks. I'm learning new things all the time and can't wait to share them with everyone! Thanks as always for all you do for our Lexus family!
An amazing and informative tutorial for the NX line. A lot easier than reading the manuals that come with the NX. My first Lexis and could not be happier. Well done..
Mrs. O'Connell, thank you very much for your excellent tutorials. I am writing to you from Spain, where I have purchased an NX 350h delivering in three months, and where there is no tutorial worthy of the name. No wonder Northside Lexus has been awarded the 2022 "Dealer of the Year", I'm sure the whole company shines at a high level. I have been eagerly awaiting this tutorial on the NX 2022 and I must say that the wait has been worth it. Thanks again. Lexus Europe: Learn from Northside Lexus of Texas!
Oh my goodness! You made my day! Thank you so much for your kind comments and support! I'm so excited for you about your new NX350h! It will be worth the wait! Thank you again for being here with us!
If i had not spent over 68k on NX i would never watch a video like this lol. But Thank you i was nervous so many buttons and things they told me when i purchased i wasn't sure if i was gonna make it home lol I guess what i am trying to say is Thank you SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL.
Thank you very much! I just purchased the 350h model overseas in Spain and I'll be receiving it in two weeks time. Looking forward to part 2 and can't wait to be behind the wheel of my first Lexus.
Awesome! Congratulations on your first Lexus! I'm driving a 2024 NX now also and am really loving it! I hope you do as well. Thanks for being here to learn with me. :)
OMG this was SO HELPFUL. I've had my car a few days, and read the manual twice, but I learned so much and you are a great teacher. Lexus Corporate should just put a link to these on their main website (and pay you extra for doing this for them!) Now I'm moving on to part 2 🙂
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Congratulations on your new NX! Here's the link for the Part 2 Deep Dive tutorial if you need that as well: ruclips.net/video/IhtcuP-9c1g/видео.html Thanks very much for tuning in with me!
Thank you, Melissa. This video is incredible! You spoke crisp, clear and slow enough to comprehend the information on the 350h. Gas economy is amazing!
2010 Chevy Suburban to 2024 Lexus NX 450h+ F-Sport these videos helped out a great deal. The car is incredible. I went from July 28th to late September without putting any additional fuel! Just plug it in ⚡️ you get the best of both with the 450h+. The F-sport seats are very comfortable. Thank you
That is very exciting! Wow major upgrade for you for sure! One tip to keep in mind on PHEVs: it is important to let the gas engine kick in periodically so the gas doesn't go stale and it helps to prolong the life of the sensors in the fuel tank. I know it is tempting to run it in EV mode the whole time, but make sure to all it to switch from EV to HV every now and then :) Thanks very much for being here!
Thanks so much! I am working on the finishing touches for the RX Deep Dive Tutorials and the RZ is definitely on the list. We don't get very many in our area, so it may be a while before I can get us a Deep Dive, but I am excited to make it for everyone. Thank you for tuning in!
Thank-you Melissa and Team for putting together this excellent video tutorial. I never thought I would understand what all these buttons are for and frankly it made me nervous driving in case I pushed something accidently while driving not recalling what the indicator was for.
I'm so glad you liked my video! Thanks very much for tuning in to learn with me! Enjoy your NX! I've been driving NXs for years now and really love mine!
Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial, honestly watching your videos is the only way you are going to learn this car. My local dealer can’t even set up the infotainment system correctly. We are really starting to enjoy this car after learning how to use the features properly. Moving on to part 2 😊
Hi Bart! I'm happy to help! Thanks so much for tuning in with me to learn all about it. Hopefully it will help you with the profile setup and anything else you needed to learn. Let me know if you have any questions. Glad you're here!
@@NorthsideLexus and Thanks Melissa! Just one question and I might have missed it along the way, for us Canadians living close to the border how do you change the speedometer from KPH to MPH on the gauge. I didn’t see an option on the settings?
@@bpopiela Hi! This is the only spot where we can customize the units on the vehicle. Here's a link from the Settings section of Part 1 of the Deep Dive: 1:13:08 General Settings: Accessibility, Clock, Keyboard, Language & Units I'm not sure how that changes the speedometer, but hopefully it will get you want you need. Let me know how that works for you. 🤞
Hmm ... which would be better for me? 1) Sifting through 1,000+ pages of an owner's manual, or 2) watching a professional, CONCISE video? Think I'll opt for the latter. This video is VERY well done - and ... VERY CLEAR! THANK you!
Thank you! What an enormous help this video tutorial has been!! I just purchased a 2025 NX 350h, and even though this tutorial focuses on slightly earlier models, everything applies to my car (so far). Very much appreciated.
I'm so glad it is still helpful for you! I haven't been able to update the NX deep dive yet. It is definitely on my list, but I'm sorry I don't have one for you now. Thanks very much for checking in and congratulations!
I took delivery of my 350h yesterday and binged both Parts of your tutorial. Thank you for the superbly well done videos. Much better than reading the manual and more information than my local sales team had available . Great first experience with Lexus! Thank you again.
Thank so much, Jeff! Congratulations on your new 350h! It is such an amazing vehicle! I'm glad to help you make the most of it! Thanks very much for watching!
Thank you so much! Congratulations on your new TX! Such an amazing vehicle! I'm sorry I haven't been able to finish filming the TX yet. I am chipping away at it though. You might like the RX Deep Dives in the meantime. There are a lot of similar features. Thank you again for being here. I'm doing all I can to get more videos done for everyone. I really appreciate your support!
Thank you Melissa, part 1 was fantastic and certainly helped me learn more about my new NX 350 F Sport. There are a couple of differences between our version here in Australia and the US however, the greater majority of your tutorial was totally relevant. Thank you and I am very much looking forward to part 2. Extra well done to you and your crew, keep up your terrific work.
Hi Ian! I'm so glad it was helpful for you. It is tough to get information about the differences from the builds across the globe. I try to keep things as broad as I can, so I appreciate your understanding. These videos started as my way of helping our new customers during the 2020 stay at home orders. We were able to be open, but couldn't sit and teach the cars to anyone. I had no idea they would be so popular. So even though we have been back to sitting in person with customers for a while now, I am going to continue with the deep dive videos to help. Thanks again for your support!
@@NorthsideLexus Hi Melissa. I know what you mean by not being able to sit with people to work things through during the pandemic. Your part 1 was so good because of a couple of points 1. you made it logical and easy to understand & 2. Your presentation skills are excellent. Even though we can work things through with a dealer on / after delivery and there are the instruction manuals to read, a Tutorial like this is invaluable. As a Lexus customer for many years and because cars are becoming more and more technical I would like to suggest that Lexus in their countries of distribution produce Tutorials like yours for their customers as a matter of course. I have found so far your session has assisted me better understanding the NX and also supported me to get more out of the car. Thank you again, and look forward to part 2. Ian
@@matthewj16 Hi Matthew! It is a ton of information and a big leap forward in technology for sure. Make sure to use the timestamped index in the video description so you can break it into smaller sessions. That can help a lot. Thanks very much for tuning in to learn with me. I hope it will help you make the most of your new NX. The biggest tip is to just get your profile setup and link your key. THEN, chip away at the rest of it. Hope this helps :)
@@NorthsideLexus hi Melissa. Thanks again for your help. I was wondering since you’re so well versed with this vehicle. I’m having an issue when I get out and lock the doors with either the fob, or the door sensor. I’m getting 8 rapid beeps instead of the normal one when you lock the doors. No windows are open. And no doors are open. Because I check the vehicle on the phone app after it happens each time. Everything is locked. Do you have any idea what that could be? Dealer seems to not have an answer here. That the issue with getting a brand new next gen vehicle as soon as they come out. Issues that don’t have answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. One other thing, it’s not the key, because the dealer set the key I’m using as the main key. And there is no key wallet card in glovebox.
Absolutely awesome tutorial, looking forward to part 2 no doubt I will watch these again many times before the car arrives in September. Keep up the excellent work
Woo hoo! September will be here before we know it! I'm so happy to be able to help you learn about your new NX! Thank very much for your support and kindness!
Thank you so much for this video. I took delivery of my 350h yesterday and they had no idea how I new so much about the car😂 I must have watched your video 4 times.
Is part two available yet? I am learning so much from your videos..it is great to rewind and hear and see it again if needed. Please keep them coming …there are several of us expecting delivery the last week of March or early April and I would love to watch part two since we probably will not have the benefit of a Lexus tech specialist to go over some things. Thanks so much again for your informational videos! C’mon part two:-))))
Not yet! I'm sorry it takes so long to get the in-depth tutorials filmed and edited. Also, the inventory shortage makes it really difficult to get vehicles for filming. I promise I am working away on it and hope to have it out in a couple of weeks! Thanks so much for hanging in there with me!
Good Morning Melissa. I finally got my NX 350 F-Sport Friday!! It is such a beautiful car, I can’t believe it’s in my garage after so many months of waiting. The dealership set up the App and went through the driver side information cluster but didn’t show me anything on the key fob. I watched your video from 1 year ago about setting door locks etc. but nothing on how to use the fob. I’ve never owned a Lexus, can I remotely roll up the windows once I exit the vehicle? How does the touch feature work on the outside of the door handle?
Hi @MEA! Congratulations! That's so awesome that you finally have your new NX! Here are some key fob tips for you: - One press of the unlock button will unlock the Driver's Door only. - Two presses of the unlock button will unlock the whole car. - One press of the lock button locks the entire vehicle. - If the headlights are in Auto, a second press of the lock button will turn off the headlights. - Press & hold the Power Back Door button to open or close the rear door. - There is a customization to all ow the key fob to power open all the windows and or moonroof. That setting needs to be customized at your Lexus dealership usually by a Technician in Service. - Check out Part 2 of the NX video series at the very end I show more about the new Walk Away Close and Lock feature on the power back door. The key is required to be in proximity for that to operate. ruclips.net/video/IhtcuP-9c1g/видео.html Hope this is what you are needing! All the best!
Thanks so much, Susan! I'm looking into the answer for your other question, but I currently do not have a vehicle with a HUD to troubleshoot on. I'll will get back with you as soon as I can find out an answer from another Lexus colleague or if we receive another NX w/ HUD that I can work on. Thanks for your understanding.
@@NorthsideLexus actually, the problem is the display not on the HUD. I think the problem is that it doesn’t reset with each trip. I have my car in service because there seem to be numerous problems with the technology
Test drove an NX today and I def. got overwhelmed with all the buttons and features in the car. This video was very helpful. Getting my own NX very soon. Thank you thank you!
Thanks so much for these tutorials!! I just got the 2023 NX 350 Premium and love the time and effort you put into this deep dive. Any new tidbits for the 2023 version of the NX 350 Premium, please please share. Thanks!
Hi Katherine! Thanks so much for tuning in with me and congratulations on your 2023 NX 350! There aren't any major changes for the NX for 2023 since it is still so new, but there are some packaging changes and there will be some OTAs coming with enhancements for the new multimedia system. Very exciting!
I'm so glad it was helpful! I was able to spend a lot of yesterday editing Part 2. Hopefully I can get it wrapped up this week. Fingers crossed! Thanks for staying tuned!
I cannot thank you enough for creating this instruction series. I just spent 10 minutes using the manual trying to figure out why my rear interior light was not turning on. Then I spent maybe a minute with your excellent video and its references and learned how to fix this issue. I've used your video manual several times and ALWAYS with success. You are the QUEEN of Lexus instructors.
Great video! I saw you pointed out a 120V plug in the rear seats. Do you know which trims these are on? I have yet to see one with a 120V plug and only a regular 12V outlet.
Hi Darrell, I'm sorry for the delay. I'm not sure which package this was. I was in multiple versions of the NX, I'm sorry for any confusion. The outlet seems to be available on some of the NX450h+ plug in hybrids. All other builds have to 12 Volt accessory outlet. I hope this helps. Thanks very much for tuning in!
Let me add my thanks for making this video series. Feels like I'm back in school! 4 hours total for the 2 episodes and still more items to learn in the owners manual. Wow, these things are getting severely over complicated. But it is great to know videos like these are available. I know I'll be coming back for a while just to refresh how it all works.
Your tutorial for the 2021/22 IS 350 F was amazing. I’ve been waiting for NX tutorial, I’m going to forward this one to my wife, since she bought a 2022 Nx 350. Thanks you 🙏 so much
Awesome! Thanks so much for your support! I'm sorry it has taken so long to get this out. I kept having to refilm things as we learned more about the new features and we can't hold on to the cars, because they are all presold! It's a crazy time. I am working on Part 2 and hope to have it out in a few weeks. 🤞🤞🤞
Have recently ordered a 2022 NX 350h to be delivered August. I have trawled through the 800+ pages of the owners manual but I have to say this video is fantastic and I have learned a great deal. Also gone through the infotainment manual but really looking forward to seeing the Part 2 video on this. Is there a date when this becomes available as if it’s anything like Part 1 it will be very informative without all the jargon! Cannot wait!!
Thanks so much, Clive! Congrats on your new NX350h! I'm so glad to help you learn all about it! Speaking of learning...WOW is there a ton of content for this amazing car! I am in the process of filming and refilming as I am gaining a deeper understanding of the new multimedia system capabilities. I hope to have the video out in 3 or 4 weeks. Sooner, if I can. Cross your fingers for me. :)
I have had a Lexus NX350 for almost a year now and had terrible problems connecting to Apple Car play. Sometimes it would connect, at other times inexplicably would not. Took it back to the dealership a number of times but they were unable to solve the problem. I finally solved it myself. I had to ensure that I had cleared all my open apps on the phone before entering the car. It has connected perfectly every time since then. Now a very happy camper!
Hi Chris! That's a great tip! We are all waiting for the next OTA from from Lexus to help with this profile loading issue. Be on the look out it should help a lot!
@@chrisjohn1933 Sure thing. Also, the car will have a drop down notification at the top right corner when the OTA come through. They haven't released it yet and it will roll out slowly like the first one. But it is supposed to address this issue specifically. Hopefully we will see if in the next month or so. Thanks for staying tuned!
Thank you very much for the time you spend doing the Lexus tutorials.......... excellent information. But I do have a question regarding Apple Car Play and my NX 350...... I was going to ask you how to turn on Apple Car Play but if my instincts are right the only way is with voice command. Is that correct? I m looking forwaqrd to Part 2 hopefully that will provide more information. Frankly we are finding the 2022 NX needlessly confusing and we are hoping you can clear up our questions......certainly our local dealership is not much help.
Hi John, I'm sorry that you're having trouble with your Apple CarPlay connection. When you have your profile setup and you have given permission for Apple CarPlay, on the phone and the car, it should auto connect when your profile is loaded when you start the car. If you are on the setting screen you can also look for your profile and click on it to connect with your PIN if it is not auto connecting. If you want to plug in for Apple CarPlay, make sure to use the USB-A port to use that feature. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!
Thank you for an excellent tutorial. Here are a few things I'd love you to explain more about in a future video: What does Driving Mode change? You explain how to switch between Sport, Eco, and Normal, but it is unclear to me what's actually different about the car's behavior in each mode. What does turning on Trail Mode do, and when should I use it? Ditto for Down Hill Assist Control and Traction Control. If I turn Brake Hold On, what will turn off the brake when I want to go? Thanks again. You are by far the most informative and clear source of detailed Lexus info that I have found. Well done!
Hi David! Thanks so much! You have awesome questions. I'm sorry I didn't make all of that more clear. Here's the scoop: - Drive Mode Selector: This feature changes the way the throttle responds when you press on the gas. So with Eco, it kind of more gently brings you up to speed, trying to help you not be a "lead foot." Sport S is a more direct throttle response, so it will feel more zippy. Normal is somewhere in between. Sport S+ is on the F-Sport handling vehicles and that gives a very direct throttle response and seems to tighten up the handling feel. This car does not have an adaptive suspension, so I'm not sure what they are using to change the feel, but it could be steering input. - Trail Mode is for light off-roading or bumpy off road surfaces. - Downhill Assist Control is to help when driving downhill on a steep decline at lower speeds. It helps with braking to try to help reduce driver fatigue. - Traction Control is the system that tries to prevent the wheels from slipping on slippery surfaces. You would turn that off if you needed your wheels to have more slip at low speeds. It is commonly used on sand or slushy snow or ice if you need to negotiate a tricky spot to try not to get stuck or to get "unstuck." - To turn off Brake Hold, just push the button again. If you want to keep the feature on for that drive cycle, just apply the gas when you are ready drive. You'll see the green HOLD symbol on the dash and when you come to a complete stop again, you'll see the (HOLD) in gold and it will hold the brake again, until you apply the gas to go. I hope this helps! Thanks again for tuning in with us!
@@NorthsideLexus Wow. Thanks for the quick and detailed response! We took delivery of our loaded 450h+ version of this vehicle in late January, and love almost everything about it. Pluses include, performance and handling, EV range (which has exceeded my expectations during the cold months we've had it so far), interior comfort, fit and finish. The only big negative is a software issue that Lexus says they know about and are working on fixing, in which the system does not automatically switch driver profiles based on the phone or key used by the driver (even though the key and phone app are properly linked to the profile)....it currently keeps whatever driver profile was in use last time, so my wife and I have to manually switch to our own profiles whenever we switch drivers. There are also some glitches where Apple Car Play does not become active at startup. I am hopeful that software updates will address these issues, and that other sw-related aspects of the driving experience will improve too. Thanks again for the great videos. I'm looking forward to Part 2!
Thank you very much for such a comprehensive tutorial. I am impatiently waiting for my NX 450h in November. Until then I am sure I will watch this again and again. I am looking forward to part 2. Thanks again :)
That's awesome! Thanks so much for tuning in with me! Congratulations on your NX. I know November feels like a long way away, but hopefully the time will fly! :)
OMG, I'm so happy and thankful to find your tutorials! I had no idea how to operate 90% of the functions in my NX350h. Thank you! I've watched Parts 1 and 2. Your videos are awesome! Can't wait to get in my car tomorrow and start programming. I may bring my laptop in the car with me. BTW, I will definitely be watching both parts a second time! Excellent!
I ordered a new Lexus NX and I can't wait. I've watched about 50 reviews on this car until I found this tutorial. I can't thank you enough how useful this video is for people who have never had a Lexus before. I learned all the nuances about my car before I even got it home. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your dedication to this tutorial.
I’m watching this while waiting for my 2023 RX to be delivered to Northside Lexus, as it has some of the same features as the NX. This is a great tutorial. Will there be a tutorial on the RX in the near future?
Hi Jennifer! That is so exciting! Thank you very much for shopping with us! Yes, I am working on the 2023 RX Deep Dive tutorial and am shipping away as quickly as possible. I know a lot of people are very ready for it to be finished. Thank you for your patience while I put it together. I try to find as much time as possible between assisting Guests. I hope I'll get to congratulate you in person when you're here!
Thank you for the amazing videos Part 1 and 2. About to get our first NX350 F sport coming from a German brand. Does anyone know if you can copy the posted speed of a traffic sign to adaptive cruise control? You can in a Merc by double tapping the resume button Hoping there is a similar way to load the traffic sign speed. to the ACC without manually incrementing or decrementing the speed for each sign.
Hi! Congrats on your soon to arrive NX350 FSport! So glad to help you learn all about it. I haven't seen the feature you are asking about that would sync the cruise control with the posted traffic sign. That sounds great! I'm going to ask my contacts at Lexus about this. I don't think we have it, but I sure wish we did. If you find out something, please let me know.
Thank you Melissa, and yes that feature does work to be able to copy the road sign speed limit to cruise control. By pressing and holding the up arrow the road sign speed is copied or by pressing and holding the down arrow a reduced speed sign limit is also copied. This process is quite hit and miss and hopefully Lexus will improve this function with firmware updates to match the others who have this nailed. I tested it out with increased and reduced speeds copied from traffic signs, it even displays a message to press and hold the up (or down) arrow to enter the current road speed limit. Thank you again for the excellent videos and look forward to learning more
@@David-fk1fz It would be amazing to have that feature! I was experimenting with the Adaptive Cruise Control on my 24 NX and could not get it to do this at all. I hope Lexus will add this at some point. What a great idea! Thank you for telling me about it.

Hello there, has any new NX user ever reported a problem with the wireless charging pad ? It was probably pre production car but journalists had reported tha an iphone with a magsafe compatible case laid on the charging tray would have difficulties charging ? Have you heard anything about it ? Thanks in advance for any answer. You're a real source of information pertaining to Lexus car. To me you are not a tech specialist but more like a tech scholar. Bye
Hi Pierre, Wow! You are so sweet! I have a few people who see that the connection to charge stops frequently. I was told that the charger is designed to not over charge the battery on the phone so it will periodically stop and then restart. I know the charge on the prototypes was different the charger on the production vehicles as well. I hope this helps!
Once again young lady thank you for your professionalism knowledge and for making it fun 👏👏👏👏👏 I have the Lexus Nx 350h2021 but after a 2hr test drive in the 350h demonstrator i placed an order for a Nx 350h AWD sonic grey with Premium Pack/Lexus link pro the new cars like night and day compèred to my NX 2021 Thanks again Phil 73yrs UK🌹🌹🌹🌹😀
YAY!!!! That's so awesome Phil! Congratulations! Hopefully I can get Part 2 done more quickly and you will be all ready to go when your NX350h arrives! Thank you, as always, for all of your support!
Hi and thank you for this great tutorial video! It's the best I've seen so far. It's very clear and informative. Regarding remote starting from the key fob, I followed your instruction and made sure my Lexus account is active and car VIN is attched to the account, however it didn't work for me. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!
Hi Arlene! Thanks so much for your support! I’m sorry to hear the key fob remote start isn’t working for you yet. Have you been able to remote start from the phone app successfully? See if you can do that and then the key fob should be just fine. It’s possible the Remote authorization had not finished. Just remember to use the Lock button and do a slow Press, release Press, release Press and Hold until you see the lights flash I hope this gets it for you. 🤞
If you are just connecting to the car as a Guest driver you can pair for Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay without the Lexus App. If you are setting up a Driver Profile, the app is required. Thanks so much for checking in!
I appreciate your positive feedback! It's always motivating to know that the tutorials are making a difference. I really appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Great video. I'm glad that Lexus change the remote start setting to where the car will stay on when you open the door. Hope it will carry over to the redesign RX next year.
I hope so too! It unfortunately didn't carry over to the LX, which is the 2nd vehicle to receive the Lexus Interface system, so it doesn't seem to be part of that equipment. The LX seems to have gotten a combination of the new Lexus Interface and an updated MID, so it is possible that the components that recognize registered devices and keys that communicate with the alarm system are different on the LX. Hopefully more of the RX will be updated so that it will stay on as well. It is a really nice change. Thanks very much for tuning in with us!
🤣ROFLOL! Bentley, you just cracked me up and made my day! If I could put myself on 0.25 speed in real life I would get so much more done! Thanks very much for the giggles! I hope you're enjoying your Lexus and so glad to have you here!🤩
That's awesome to hear! Thanks very much for watching. I can't wait to get the NX450h+ at our dealerships. It will be so exciting to have one! Congratulations!
Hi Melissa, this really great. As just having placed an order for an NX350H here in Australia to gain more insight into the various features and functions, beyond a 20 min test drive and the sales process is so valuable. I’m even more excited about my purchase, notwithstanding the lengthy wait :(. You are becoming a global phenomenon ;) A question or two for you regarding connected services. Once you set up the App function, can the vehicle be 100% operated without a key (I.e. like a Tesla). Furthermore can my wife and I both download the App, setup the independent profiles in each respective names, and independently operate the vehicle via the Connected Services feature. Or does only one primary driver profile have the ability to leverage the connected services? Regards and Thanks. Ps. Excited to see Part 2 when it arrives.
Hi Craig! Great to have you here! I'm so excited for you about your NX! I know it seems like it will take forever! These inventory issues are really challenging everywhere. Answers to your questions are below: 1.Once you set up the App function, can the vehicle be 100% operated without a key (I.e. like a Tesla).: It is my understanding that if you have Digital Key setup on your vehicle, you do not have to have a key on your person to operate the vehicle. Digital Key does require an internet connection and works through the Lexus app in the Primary Driver profile login. If you are going to be in an area with low signal they recommend bringing a physical key as a backup. This tidbit was also very interesting: "If the vehicle is not operated for 14 days or more, the Digital Key will not connect automatically. Therefore, it may take some time before the system operates after a door handle is touched." Check out the section of the OM on Digital Key starting on page 66: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/viewer.html?pdfurl=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.sia.toyota.com%2Fpublications%2Fen%2Fom-s%2FOM78457U%2Fpdf%2FOM78457U.pdf&clen=22300907&chunk=true 2.Furthermore can my wife and I both download the App, setup the independent profiles in each respective names, and independently operate the vehicle via the Connected Services feature. Or does only one primary driver profile have the ability to leverage the connected services? You will each have a Lexus app sign in and each have a profile added to the NX, but only one may be the Primary and only the Primary has subscription control and Remote Connect capabilities for Remote Start. We have a lot of couples setting everything up on the car, then they just sign in to both of their phones with the Primary driver's Lexus account information so they can both use the Remote Start functions. It will not impact the profile setup or loading on the car as long as the key is linked and their bluetooth is correctly setup to their profile in the vehicle. I hope this makes sense for you. I will try to demonstrate this in the Part 2 video. I know it is a LOT of information. Hope this helps :)
How is the 12 Volt battery charged on the 2025 NX450h+? Is it charged in EV mode at all? Only in HV mode? What can be done to ensure the battery does not discharge too far, meaning the electronics won’t work? Thanks in advance.
This is a great questions and a Lexus Technician might be the best person to ask. But, to my knowledge the 12-volt on the hybrid and PHEV work like they do on the all gas models. So there definitely is some charging while the vehicle is being driven with the gas engine engaged. I a not sure if some charge is shared to the 12-volt when the vehicle is in EV mode. It is important to have your 12-volt battery voltage checked at the scheduled recommended intervals and to use a battery minder if you are traveling for extended periods where the vehicle would not be driven. Also, with a PHEV, it is important to let the gasoline engine come on periodically to use the ICE and keep the fuel from going stale. I hope this helps. I'll look into the 12-Volt accessory battery question for you more and see if I can find out anything else. Thanks for being here!
This SUV is popular with women. J.D. Power data shows that 57% of Lexus NX owners are female, compared to 43% of all compact premium SUVs. Lexus NX owners enjoy a median annual household income of $133,108 (vs. $167,283), and 35% of them identify as Practical Buyers followed by 30% who are Performance Buyers.
I just got my new 2024 nx350h. With regard to the alarm light. You said when the light is flashing, the nx is unlocked? And when it's solid that means the vehicle is locked? Was this a mistake on your part? When I lock my NX, I can see the light flashing. Did I get something wrong? I have a lot to learn. So any input helps. Thank you
Hi Jose, It certainly could have been a mistake or the fact that I may have had a prototype unit at that time. Looking in the owner's manual it seems to be what you are seeing and the opposite of how it was on the prototype. I apologize for any confusion and will get that corrected for future videos. Do know that as long as you are locking the NX, the alarm is set. I hope this helps. Thanks very much for bringing this error to my attention. Sincerely.
There is so much information, I am having a tough time isolating so many of the features for just my 2024 RX350H. Your videos are amazing but too hard to compare to my car. Thanks.
Hi. I know there is a lot of information. Have you looked at my RX videos instead of the NX videos? They are similar, but the RX videos would be better for your vehicle for sure: 2023/2024 Lexus RX Deep Dive Tutorial - Part 1: ruclips.net/video/ToLr5nIPVIo/видео.htmlsi=FI99yXFeWJIoxxP8 2023/2024 Lexus RX Deep Dive Tutorial - Part 2: ruclips.net/video/UW1jUab56sc/видео.htmlsi=rQ2ICgJZurWgNwY9 I hope this helps and using the Index in the video description can make it easier to sort though topics. Thanks for tuning in with me.
Eddie is right. Very well done tutorial. Thank you.
Repeat of all you wrote 👌 Quality video well edited, First video I’ve found that explains more than the features of the dashboard area. Thankyou
Wheres part 2?@NorthsideLexus
@@NorthsideLexusI can't seem to turn up my audio on my navigation system. What can I do? I have 2024 Nx 350 F sport
Thanks
All in all a really well made guide to the LexusNX
I agree with others that Lexus could use these videos on their website & perhaps could reward you accordingly 😀
Of course presentation by Melissa was clear, & concise in every detail. It’s not often I watch a video of an hour & a half that’s so interesting to watch & well made.
Thankyou
(Half way through Part 2 Now)
I should receive my 350h just before Christmas, too!
Wow this is such an amazing idea and so helpful. As a brand new Lexus owner coming from a very old car this is very informative, thank you for taking the time to go through all this!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! Congratulations on your new Lexus! I'm so glad to help you learn more about it!
Incredible.....we used to have to wade through PAGES of instructions now we have clear easy to follow visual instructions....well done Lexus👍👍
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you liked my tutorial. Congratulations on your new NX!
i think you should say "well done northside Lexus. Not all Lexus dealerships are equal, I got my Lexus in Austin, the dealership/service department &Tech specialist sucks. Melissa O’Connell has done a fantastic job, without this video i have no clue what to do with my 2024 new Lexus.
Incredibly helpful video! So much to learn. I feel like I’m back at school but in a good way. Today it’s part 1 and tomorrow I’ll do part 2. 😎
Thanks so much! That is awesome to hear! I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos!
Well done..
That's awesome! Thanks so much for tuning in with me!

Glad I could help! I know it is a ton of information. I hope you're enjoying your new NX! Thanks very much for tuning in with me!
So thorough, and endlessly helpful. This video should come with all these cars. Thank you a million times!

Thank you very much for this tutorial, this is amazing. I was so impressed. Thank you again for the detailed explanation.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks very much for being here!
Needed this! I read through the manuals, but still learned a bunch more from this video. Thanks for all your hard work. This was very thorough ✨
I'm so glad it was helpful! Thank you very much for your kind comment and support! Congratulations on your NX!
You are the BEST! Thanks so much for your comments @tbartman ! You really made my day!
FANTASTIC VIDEO- Thank you Not sure that I wopuld have found all this out- my NX is even more amazing than I thought LOL

Thank you very much!! your video is super helpful. My new NX350h will arrive in October, cannot wait!
That's awesome! Congratulations! 👏👏👏 I'm happy to help!
Thank you, Melissa. This video is incredible! You spoke crisp, clear and slow enough to comprehend the information on the 350h. Gas economy is amazing!
You are so welcome! Thankyou very much for your support and encouragement!
This is the best car tutorial I have ever seen. Thank you very much. Expecting for the next tutorial for the model RZ450e.
Very detailed and easy to follow instructions…. Thanks so much… we know more about the NX 350 because of you. May you be blessed and stay young…
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you are enjoying the tutorials! Part 2 will be coming soon. Hopefully by Friday 🤞
Hmm ... which would be better for me? 1) Sifting through 1,000+ pages of an owner's manual, or 2) watching a professional, CONCISE video? Think I'll opt for the latter. This video is VERY well done - and ... VERY CLEAR! THANK you!
So glad it was helpful for you! Thanks very much for choosing me to tune in to to learn all about your new Lexus! 👍
If you do an update I’ll happily watch it, but ones that you have up are still relevant. I can see how much work you invested. Thank you!
Thank you, Melissa. Just purchased a 2024 NX350 F Sport and your video has answered all my questions. Sal from South Florida, have a great week!
Thanks awesome, Sal! Congrats on your new NX350 F Sport! Love that car!

Awesome, thank you so much for watching! I hope they find your NX for you soon in the perfect color!
I took delivery of my 350h yesterday and binged both Parts of your tutorial. Thank you for the superbly well done videos. Much better than reading the manual and more information than my local sales team had available . Great first experience with Lexus! Thank you again.

Love your videos. Just got my TX and came on here looking for it. 😩
Thank you so much! Congratulations on your new TX! Such an amazing vehicle! I'm sorry I haven't been able to finish filming the TX yet. I am chipping away at it though.
Ian
What a learning curve. Just got mine today nx350 f sport and my head is spinning trying to wrap my head around it all.

Here are some key fob tips for you:
- One press of the unlock button will unlock the Driver's Door only.
The key is required to be in proximity for that to operate. ruclips.net/video/IhtcuP-9c1g/видео.html

This is very useful for me, I will start my new job as a salesman at Lexus next week 👍👍👍
Thanks so much! Glad I could help! Welcome to Lexus!
@@NorthsideLexus Please keep me informed directly in case my own doesn't!
@@NorthsideLexus Thank you so much!
Melissa thx for this part 1. I’m looking forward to part 2. I learned a lot new things
Thanks so much Luc! Happy to help! Hopefully I can get Part 2 finished soon.
This is amazing. Thank you!
You're very welcome! Thanks so much! I should have Part 2 up by Friday...thanks for staying tuned!
Here's the scoop:
- Drive Mode Selector: This feature changes the way the throttle responds when you press on the gas.
It is commonly used on sand or slushy snow or ice if you need to negotiate a tricky spot to try not to get stuck or to get "unstuck."
- To turn off Brake Hold, just push the button again.
A lot of effort were done in making this video to make it easy to learn, excellent presentation! ... subs :)
Thank you very much! That is so thoughtful of you!
Excellent!
Yay! You've made my day! I'm so glad you're here to learn with me! Thank you for your support!
So glad I could help! I hope your NX arrives soon and that you love it! I'm on my third NX and driving the 2024. It is my favorite so far!
This was really helpful !!! Looking forward to getting my 350h!
Congratulations! I can't wait until I can get mine! Thanks very much for being here with us!

@@David-fk1fz This is so cool. I tried this in my NX and could not get it to work :( I'm definitely going to ask my Lexus friends about this. It would be great to have in the US!
Once again young lady thank you for your professionalism knowledge and for making it fun 👏👏👏👏👏
I have the Lexus Nx 350h2021 but after a 2hr test drive in the 350h demonstrator
i placed an order for a Nx 350h AWD sonic grey with Premium Pack/Lexus link pro the new cars like night and day compèred to my NX 2021

Just remember to use the Lock button and do a slow
Press, release
Press, release
Press and Hold until you see the lights flash
I hope this gets it for you. 🤞
I just got my Lexus 350 NX F Sport color Atomic Silver car this weekend and this video is absolutely amazing!! Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤
Yay! Congratulations on your new NX! I'm so happy to help you learn about it! Thanks for being here!
Do I have to have the Lexus app to use Apple CarPlay?
If you are just connecting to the car as a Guest driver you can pair for Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay without the Lexus App. If you are setting up a Driver Profile, the app is required. Thanks so much for checking in!
Thank you for this excellent tutorial. Lexus should make this part of their website or at least link it.
So my favorite new thing to do at work is listening to Melissa at 0.25 speed. LOL!
🤣ROFLOL! Bentley, you just cracked me up and made my day! If I could put myself on 0.25 speed in real life I would get so much more done! Thanks very much for the giggles! I hope you're enjoying your Lexus and so glad to have you here!🤩

Hi Melissa, this really great. As just having placed an order for an NX350H here in Australia to gain more insight into the various features and functions, beyond a 20 min test drive and the sales process is so valuable. I’m even more excited about my purchase, notwithstanding the lengthy wait :(.
You are becoming a global phenomenon ;)
A question or two for you regarding connected services.
Answers to your questions are below:
1.Once you set up the App function, can the vehicle be 100% operated without a key (I.e. like a Tesla).: It is my understanding that if you have Digital Key setup on your vehicle, you do not have to have a key on your person to operate the vehicle. Therefore, it may take some time before the system operates after a door handle is touched."
Check out the section of the OM on Digital Key starting on page 66: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/viewer.html?pdfurl=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.sia.toyota.com%2Fpublications%2Fen%2Fom-s%2FOM78457U%2Fpdf%2FOM78457U.pdf&clen=22300907&chunk=true
2.Furthermore can my wife and I both download the App, setup the independent profiles in each respective names, and independently operate the vehicle via the Connected Services feature.
@@NorthsideLexus Thanks again Melissa for such a detailed answer. All makes sense. I look forward to seeing it in action in part 2.

Love the tutorial, thank you!!
Thanks so much for being here! So glad you liked it!
Cool stats! Thanks so much for watching!
Sincerely.
Melissa is absolutely the Best I am surprised Lexus Corp. hasn't snatched her yet
