Another method to push the piston back without much effort. Before unscrewing the 13mm bolts which hold the caliper. Get a flathead screw driver and the inner pad that's worm should have enough space for you to get the flag head through. With that flat head in. Lever the flat head so the pad pushes the piston back. With that it solves the problem of having a caliper that's free move about when pushing the piston back. Brake lines can twist due to that and in the worst case even pop open.
I always push the pistons back with a flat head before removing the caliper and unscrewing the 13mm bolts.
Try it! It's much easier!

I always antiseize the inside of the rotor to keep it from rusting and having to beat it off later. Take it from a guy whom only seems to work on rusty stuff. =P

I have a question. I don’t track my car and I’m pretty stock but I do push car as a daily drive because, well, it’s a fun ass car haha, but do you recommend just oem pads and rotors? Or is something from ecs like the slotted with some nicer ebc pads? Thanks, love the videos

Why not bleed/ refill with fresh brake fluid whilst everything was opened
You totally can and should do that yearly, but I didnt have the proper tools at the time of this video
Why stoptech rotors instead of EBC rotors?

Calliper carrier bolts 200nm / calliper slider bolts 30nm

Have the rotors rusted at all? I’m looking at Stoptech but read on the forums they rust quicker.
Yes, If I were to do it again, I would tape off the rotor surface and clear the center hub of the rotor with a high temp paint.

Good quality rotors are coated and do NOT have oil nor grease on them. Good rotors today do not have drilled holes - they are only for show, and they crack. You need to do more research before recommending rotors to your viewers.
How are your brakes doing several months later?
Good! However they are wearing quicker than normal brakes, that is to be expected
