You could check all the performances of Floor in the same show. Or Henk's beautiful duet with Emma Heesters (Vivo Per lei) or his great rendition of Sound of Silence (Disturbed version of the Simon and Garfunkel classic). or maybe a salsa version of Hotel California ...
That sound right at the beginning was actual thunder, there was a crazy storm happening while they were singing this song and you can see water leaking through the tent and dripping around them. The other singers said the atmosphere and that performance a few feet away from them was a mind-blowing experience. Such a cool coincidence.

Great reaction! The arrangement that was used, is Nightwish's version of the song. Henk Poort played the Phantom for a few years, back in the 90's in the Dutch version of the Musical. Which Floor saw and loved, when she was young. He will be performing this song with Floor, when Nightwish plays two already sold out shows in Amsterdam, this upcoming November 23rd and 24th.
i think it also helped that this duet was for floor a dream come true. since she was 12 or so she is huge fan of him since she saw him in the theatre doing the phantom. For her he is not just henk poort but THE HENK POORT. and since she met him in the show she got even more convinced he can do everything. He surprised me too by letting see he can sing a lot more then opera. and that she got that high note , think he and the drums pushed her so high. still great that she made it and shows she is a good. btw from same show 2 guys reaching a high one , try HENK POORT in NOELIA and also in SOUND OF SILENCE. otherone ROLF SANCHEZ doing SOLO OTRA VEZ , spanish for all by myself
This was really good performance, from both of them. And like many has pointed out, Henk was phantom in Dutch version of this musical. And that ending, Floor keeping D6 for 8sec... And she looks like that she must stop, cos the song is finishing..., but she would have had power to continue still next 8sec!!! She is amazing woman! If think singing in one line, other end is growling and opposite is opera style, then she is only person who I know who do that whole scale.And do it well. Every style between those two!

I love both the Nightwish version with Tarja and this one, its just different elements of both versions for example. I love how you can hear how something sinister, eerie is about to happens in the end. In this with Henk Poort, I love the Chemestry. This is of course not the only things I love about the two versions but just an example of what I prefer in them and something that sets them apart. I really love both versions. Just as in Football, I like a physical match when you can hear and almost feel every tackle, then again other times I love seeing great technical and tactical play, where you are outplaying your opponents.

She is a brilliant singer songwriter, she went off the grid for a couple of years, she’s a perfectionist and would not be rushed into releasing anything of her own until it was ready. It's one of those songs that people search on the internet to see people's reaction. Simon who wrote and performed the song with Garfunkle said this is the way this song should be sung. Some have said Simons version was a warning and this version is because people did not listen..The singer is very talented. It's a song that is on my personal play list. If you can, when you can.
