that is a challenge at first. what I'm having trouble with now are the vowel sounds: a and o look different but sound the same, english "short 'o'"; e is not e but "-ye-"; I can't hear the difference between the 2 backwards-N "i" sounds; and there are entirely separate individual symbols for vowel diphthongs that we just pile letters together for. "bI"? "yrh,"i guess? & I've studied a bunch of languages, including hebrew which is an entirely different writing system, so i don't know why these vowels are stumping me.

One of my good friends growing up was Lithuanian and whenever we’d talk on the phone, about half the time I was sitting there waiting while she screamed back and forth with her mother in Russian. So I got pretty good at figuring out what she was saying just from tone alone 😂

You even recaptured the nervous “first day” feeling from the original videos... amazing! Thank you Maria ☺️

Иностранцы со слов "Нормуль" и "Океюшки" сломали себе головы.
    А учителя русского, словили баттхерт.

I usually hate chalk sounds and cleaning chalk board sounds because I always find them too dry for me. Makes me cringe and I want to cry (I have sensory processing issues sometimes) and this is the one time it barely bothered me. It actually sounded nice, and I was surprised! Wonderful work again, love your videos!

A couple of days ago I surprised my bf by saying “I love you” in Russian (ya ljublju tebja) and I only knew this phrase because of your old Russian teacher video that I loved! Now you uploaded this - full circle! ❤️

Love the authenticity of this video with the background noises of paper, writing, and students shuffling around! I seriously think this is the best teaching roleplay I've ever seen! ❤️

Love this!! I just started Russian language this week and I immediately came back to listen to this after 4 years of following you. The alphabet part is helping me recognize letters now, and I can listen whilst I fall asleep too. Thank you Maria!
