Pls read this message with patience ....
Tamil and sanskrit exist in same period let me now show the evidence of tamil Language, how we say it is the oldest Language of earth till date....
Tamil isn’t just a language, it is an important identity of Tamil culture. The Sangam age literary work ‘Kalithogai’ has references to Lemuria continent, where it is mentioned as ‘Karodaiyaaru’. It was destroyed during ‘Kadal Kol’ (tsunami). Ancient Tamil poet Kaniyan Poongundranar’s popular quote ‘Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir’ has been recognised by the United Nations.
It is difficult to fix the age of the evolution of the language because of its rich vocabulary. ‘Tholkappiyam’, which is 2,000 years old, is the first literary work in Tamil. According to Tamil language expert M Srinivasa Iyengar, Tholkappiyam dates to before 350BC. The other Sangam Tamil literature is estimated to be around 5th century BC and recent archaeological evidence has proved this.
Researchers of the subject have differing estimates for the age of Tamil. While recent excavations at Keezhadi throw light on the ancient civilization of Tamils, earthen burial urns (Mudumakkal Thazhi) have been found in Adhichanallur and Kodumudi that go back 2,000 to 2,500 years.
*A stone inscription in Modi script (used to write Marathi language), that was unearthed in Thanjavur reveals that the age of Tamil language could date back to more than 10,000 years. Such archaeological evidence provide ample proof to establish the antiquity of Tamil as an ancient language. Discoveries also point out that the first ‘Tamil Sangam’ existed in 8th century BC. Ancient Tamil words are still in use.*
After elaborate research on western languages, late professor and author Devaneya Pavanar has established that Tamil is the mother of all languages. As a conclusion of his research in Greek, Latin and English, he says words from Tamil have gone on to influence Latin and English languages. Words such as ‘coin’, ‘coffee’ and ‘navy’ are a few examples that have their roots in Tamil language.
Linguistic experts have often highlighted that the first couplet in Thirukkural has Sanskrit words. But ‘Bhagwan’, the word they are referring to in Thirukkural, is not the ‘Bhagwan’ that is mentioned in Sanskrit. Thiruvalluvar, has in fact, never used Sanskrit words in Thirukkural. The word ‘Bhagawan’ that appears in the first couplet of Tirukural is actually a Tamil word ‘Pagalavan’, which means sun. As far as the usage of Sanskrit words in ancient Tamil scriptures is concerned, it is minimal.....

India is like it has main two sides north and south and south is completely different from north , north Indians speak hindi and their tradition differs compared to south their foods like rotti, chappaties mostly and bollywood and south is completely different , calm and greenery, here's were we speak tamil ,the 1st born language ,old traditional language which is then branched many languages like hindi, telugu, Malayalam etc .. tamil is the root language. And most foreigners know nly abt north india and thats why they think hindi is the only language spoken in india , no its not , india has mixed languages .As I said tamil is the oldest language of all ,if u don't believe u hav ask to Google thn 😂. And south side of india is like dis song , more traditional, mostly rice is the main food and kollywood. And wat u listened to is a tamil song . Though north nd south differs we r always together ❤

Subtitling this song should have been a tough task and I still believe that it's not the best not because I am arrogant but because the song explores different themes and elements in little over 5 minutes.
Too much of backend history - Migration, plight of Migrant labourers, marginalization, inequalities, right to land, resources, reverse migration, caste discrimination etc
The song itself is a homage and lament to land, people and all the living creatures in it. The poorvakudi (ancient tribe) didn't exploit but preserved the land and resources for future.
Top of that, the song celebrates and laments at the same time (Uses parai and oopari art form to convey that) which makes it difficult to convey the emotion via subtitles.
Only Tamizhs or the one living close to Tamizhs can understand and relate to this masterpiece. It isn't easy to pull this off - That's why I believe Arivu is really an Arivu Jeevi (Genius). He is an international artist - Speaks for human kind. Great stuff.

This song contains a lot of elements:
    1. The first part to talk about nature, make sounds and making some funny phrases to gain attention to the crowd
    2. Tamil rap that calls everyone to pay attention to the song
    3. Oppari - a traditional song sung after a death or to portray a sad incident. It talks about how our ancestors lived in this world giving importance to forests and nature
    4. Enjoy Enjami - it provides solution to the problem as we all need to come together united to solve this problem.
There is a myth that says If there is order in the nation and all the people are happy without the feeling of hatred, appreciate each other then the the Gods are happy and it pours (rainfall) 3 times (seasons) in a year depicting a prosper nation.

As you are already flooded with lots of messages about this song... the language of this song ,it's tamil , to add few more , the initial drum music , its called the "parai" music which is the instrument used in tamil nadu in India , as an tribal music , widely used by various natives of Tamil people in various functions during harvest, birth, death , it's not been used nowadays, with many other musical instruments influence on it. The person arivu , has taken efforts to blend the beauty of tribal and ancestoral music with his rap, and modern and classical elements with a Powerful social message , as we all know in India mainly southern India , it's always been political active state with many " isms".. A big thank you for sparing time to take this song and giving a stage for spreading the music around the world..

Everybody has correctly generalised. There are specifics in the song that is missed. So the native place is near kutralam. This is a place near the waterfalls kutralam. So with the river flow, plantations has flourished across the deccan plateau ( India is also known this way and people have forgotten ).
So in short it is given to the next generation which us idiots who are destroying the world, so the ancestors (you will see this word) created and we are in the process of destroying
The lyrics can apply to the plantations, rein forests, farming etc... in the world that is getting destroyed. And the impact is to thw nature the animal population is getting reduced and reality is that in the future the next generations will only see it in graphics.
Please the pass the video to the world.
