    1 Cup of Almond milk
    1 Camomile tea bag
    1/4 teaspoon Nut Meg
    Can add pinch cinnamon and a little honey if desired
    Drink about 45 minutes to 1 hour before bed. Sleep well!

      I need to try this.
      I have been taking magnesium glycinate for some time, but it has been more miss than hit lately. I put it down to shift work (splits, nights, earlies) over the last 40+ years screwing up my body clock!
      I also struggle to 'turn off' my brain at night.
      I will have to pick up some camomile tea

    I started drinking chamomile for the cortisol effects. I've been extremely sleep deprived, on the verge of insomnia. I started drinking chamomile tea not knowing I should drink it before bedtime mostly. In one instance I drank a cup of chamomile tea in the morning, sat outside in the sun for 20 minutes to try to get some healthy vitamin d and when I came back inside I was so sleepy that I laid down and slept for 5 hours. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep that night but I ended up sleeping that entire night restfully. I've been able to catch up on my sleep since then as I've been drinking chamomile tea every day. I have a little bit of mental fog simply because I've been getting less than 6 hours of sleep consistently every night for the past year. It's going to take my body a little bit to adjust but I can already tell the effects of simply being able to go to sleep and stay asleep or if I have to get up to use the bathroom, I can fall right back asleep

      what about the diuretic effects of Camomile? I get up too much, already and suffer from dehydration too easily

    Camomile makes me itch! I tried it as I was desperate for sleep. I am allergic to a sister plant. I use valerian root, works every time! Not putting chemicals in my body, it's a win win!

    For me I will get more benefit from buying organic chamomile in bulk and make it in a teapot. Pour boiling water over it in the teapot and let it steep for at least 20-30 minutes. Tea bags just make flavored water for me.

    This is great for my 6 year old. We made the mistake of giving him melatonin at bedtime since he was a baby and now it seems he has trouble producing his own melatonin. We’ve been trying herbal / homeopathic non-melatonin aids lately and I think things are slowly improving, but he still has a little trouble settling in at night. He will love this and it is much more affordable.

      Yeah, it's funny that the doctors all say that it's perfectly safe but they don't explain to you that children that are on melatonin long-term will mess up their own bodies production 🙄

    Recent changes to heart and blood pressure medication has made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I will definitely give this a try.

      Please see a naturopath. There are natural ways to lower and maintain. They truly work. Your doc will never tell you as they’re all owned by big pharma 🥰

      Tell your doctor about the side effects you are experiencing. If it is your general practitioner prescribing them, then insist on seeing a cardiologist. They know better what to prescribe. Also talk to your pharmacist and let them know your meds side effects regarding sleep.

    This sounds delicious. I’m not a fan of chamomile, but I’m going to try this with the warm almond milk and cinnamon and see if I like it better.🫖☕️🥛😌 Thanks for the great tips Dr. Mandell.     Thank you for the advice. Passionflower also makes a big difference, especially when taken with a potentiator like ginger. It's a powerful blood thinner though (as is cinnamon) -- that means it's a Vitamin K antagonist.

    As working security armed and unarmed forces through past ten years. Swear that my sleep algorithm has been out of wack from doing 07am-3pm then 11pm-07am again then you understand where I’m exhausted at. During time being only fun ever do is content on my channel called Security Off Duty. Once do something then upload through the week to catch up on projects, haven’t gotten much sleep is 6hr most time get 9hrs on good days. Not only want to but need try this than melatonin get myself to sleep , not big fan of almond milk if it’s last resort over dairy milk. Thanks for mentioning this now when everyone is working and hustling making our ends meet before holiday rush, Take a break for self try it.

    I usually drink a cup of bananna milk before I go to sleep and sleep through most of the night. I dont even need to heat it up.

    if you really want to kick it up add a lill catnip to your chamo tea, and make it kind of concentrated then dilute with favorite milk and grated nutmeg. i call it knock out tea.

    For me, almond milk, caused stomach problems. I tried replacing coffee with a turmeric latte. They are very tasty, but it didn’t work
