- I didn't expect to like this budget controller but... I do.
We recently checked out Gamesir's Nova controller for the Nintendo Switch but this, the Gamesir Nova Lite, is a budget friendly multiplatform controller. It's a no thrills, functional controller without any fancy lights or too many extra features but what it does have is hall effect joysticks, a no deadzone mode, adjustable rumble, swappable button layout via M + A, analog triggers, a case, a dongle and multiple ways to connect to different devices.

Sounds like this would be GREAT alternative to 8bitdo!
I bought my daughter the 8bit and it literally got (double) stick drift in less than 12 HOURS OF USE!
Hall effect from here on out.

Damn that's unlucky! Not heard of drift happening that quickly 😭 this would definitely be a good alternative! Gotta love those hall effect sticks!
@@128KBI had joycon drift 20 minutes after getting my switch on 2017 release night midnight playing breath the wild right out the box.. have never before or since experienced drift ever on any controller... oh and my binbox ultra arrived today thanks for the review the forced gyro aim assist that you kinda didn't understand in your review. is amazing, it's not a gyro for a gyro it's a forced gyro were gyro isn't supported in game. I turned off my switch games gyro and replaced it with the forced gyro and its every bit as good sometimes better... thise extra triggers are clicky as hell and amazing the bumpers are the best I ever used, but I'm not fan of the analog triggers, even in digital mode the travel to engage is to long. Oh the rumble is amazing to strong but thudding not bussing. Thanks for tne heads up on that one.
idk which one you bought, but the new 8bitdo ultimate controller has hall effect joysticks as well
@@user-yl7yp2wm2d I did know about that more premium options, but I went with the ultimate C for my daughter. I'm pretty much done with 8bitdo after that. Kinda ridiculous. I'll go with hall effect from a different brand (the drifting wasn't the only issue, also).

Nova Lite doesn't have Gyro, the normal Nova has it.
You're absolutely right, I got confused there thinking of the Nova!
Looks just like my old stadia controller. Hmm i gotta dig that out. I never actually thought about using it to play mobile games
just picked one of these up for $16!!, so I picked up another.
Budget controllers have been wild these past couple years.

Can you please help me I just got this controller by watching your review but whenever I connect the controller using the dongle the light automatically turns red instead of green after 2 3 seconds... It worked perfectly at first but then I tried to connect it via Bluetooth maybe I did something wrong idk please help me I tried reseting but didn't work
I’m having trouble getting it to connect in Bluetooth to my computer or my iPhone
Iv been using pro Nintendo controller on pc since 2017 and now my binbok ultra and soon the nova as my Nintendo pro is old now but works perfectly.. switch pro layout is perfect whatever platform you use.. and gyro is king no matter were you use it no gyro no play been my rule since 2006
Hello Sir! Will the Nova Lite work on Android TVs?
There is a firmware update out for this on the gamesir app, it messes up bluetooth detection for some reason
You might have to use version 4200. I had to do that to connect to the dongle with my Steam Deck dock.

Hello 128ers I was wanting to know is the chicken head gamesir button actually a button? I just need it for xbox remote play on my phone or tablet will this button work as xbox logo home button?

How bad are those loose RB & LB buttons
They’re not bad at all. I bought two GameSir Nova Lites, & I can tell you that these controllers can go toe-to-toe with the best from Microsoft & Sony quality-wise.
