"What we know is a drop.
What we don't know is an ocean."

The pocket watch with the engraved "Für Charlotte" was for the blind Gustav Tannhaus' mother Charlotte. His father, Heinrich Tannhaus, the founder of Sic Mundus, tells young Gustav in the horse carriage that his mother always liked the play "Ariadne", and quotes from it: "From then on, I knew that nothing changes. That all things remain. The spinning wheel turns, round and round, in a circle. One fate tied to the next. A thread, red like blood, that connects all our deeds." We've actually heard that twice from Martha before.
Blind young Gustav becomes old Gustav in the next scene, and gets killed by The Unknown entering the carriage. Via garrote, from Spanish "garrote vil" (vile cane/stem). Just before killing Gustav, the Unknown says another thing we heard before: "He that has eyes to see and ears to hear may convince himself that no mortal can keep a secret, if his lips are silent, he chatters with his fingertips. Betrayal oozes out of him at every pore." This is a quote from Sigmund Freud, and it was in the letter sent to special investigator Clausen, which lured Clausen to Winden to see what's up with Aleksander and so on. Now we know that The Unknown must have sent that letter to him.
Some other notable quotes, "What we know is a drop, what we don't know is an ocean." by Sir Isaac Newton, first shown as intro text of an episode, later said at least once (by Bernd Doppler), now said by the Unknown. And middle-aged Martha says "Welcome to the future.", first said by Silja in post-apocalypse Winden when Jonas arrived there.
By the way, where the Tannhaus factories are in 1888, this is probably the future place of the Winden high school after the factories are torn down. And the fight between Bartosz and Jonas exactly mirrors the fight they had in front of the school entrance in the rain. The tree where Alt-Martha hid the time-travel apple? Later Alexander/Boris hides the gun and passport there, which Hannah sees. By the way, the scene where Alt-Martha is offering the (supposedly) last time-travel material to Jonas, it is again reminiscent of the big painting in Eva's lair, showing a serpent having pursuaded the bibilical Eve to give Adam some of the forbidden fruit.
The interrogation of Helge at 13:55 puts several things clearly all out in the open, if you pay attention. Yet we are still surprised about certain things later. Dark is wonderful in creating those moments. There are probably dozens upon dozens of such foreshadowing moments.

I never realised all that information from your last two paragraphs until I read your comment. My god. Every single time you just learn something new about Dark and realise just how deep and complex the writing for this show is.

It all wraps up so nicely!! It stays confusing until like the second to last episode and then they tie it all together. It's soooo good

I think there's 2 ways to watch this show. You can investigate the details shown throughout or you can just wait for the story to reveal it. I guess it depends on what type of person you are and what kind of time you have. I personally just waited until the story revealed it. It really doesn't matter because there's still some mind blowing information that will come out. Really, the little information that was dropped won't spoil the meat of the story.

1:35 Well you were AND you were not supposed to take in this information. As bo and Jantje said (and I repeated many times; this is my own vicious time loop it seems) they created this show with two ways to watch it in mind: you can either dissect all the information given to you OR you can just let it all wash over you as it goes. The scene only "spoils" the latter one and even then it is still debatable: technically an information presented inside the work of fiction is ALWAYS a reveal and by definition cannot be a spoiler.

9:25 wait? did Lydia defend alt-Hannah's actions? Are you sure that isn't her Doppelgänger from another world, E?
Just kidding; I know you have a soft spot for alt-Hannah just because she isn't as crazy as Hannah... yet!?

11:20 This is the watch (personally I still think that there is one that looks silver and one that looks gold but people keep telling my I was wrong) and the Ariadne play... but the thing in the middle is not the Triquetra notebook.
IIRC (and I just checked to make sure) old alt-Martha (basically this is the scene establishing her as Eva) opens this up to reveal two odd keys and a schematic titled "Kernkraftwerk Winden" and "Volumenkontrollsystem".
We have already heard that before so here is a mild spoiler for 3x07 in case people do not realize where:
In 1x03 Claudia asked Bernd about the flawed numbers on the waste material of the power plant. There he explained that there was malfunction in that volume control system that led to the incident that was believed to be the origin of the black hole Stranger-Jonas wanteed to destroy. The keys can be identitfied, too, as one should be the "master key" for the power plant the Unknown wanted to collect from Bernd when they killed him.

13:24 in case you didn't recognize the actor, this is Benjamin Wöller, the alternate version of Bernadette Wöller.

      16:33 So as you might know "Sic Mundus Creatus Est" was taken directly from the Tabula Smaragdina and there was a direct reference to the hermetic societies interested in that;
Erit Lux on the other hand ight sound familiar becaus it is similar to the Latin version of the first book in the bible: Dixitque Deus: Fiat lux. Et facta est lux. - God said: let there be light and there was light. The latter half is sometimes given as "lux sit" (worst version) and sometimes as "lux erat". Here "erat" is the past form (3rd person) of "esse"; "est" is the present form (3rd peron) and "erit" is the future form (3rd person). So "Erit Lux" does not mean "Let there be light" as the subtitles suggest but "There will be light".
"Let there be light" instead would be Fiat Lux... AND this also was the name of a(n) (in)famous ufo religion which was led by the enigmatic female leader Uriella.

19:35 Reminder that you could still turn off autoplay in the Netflix-settings before you make it to the end of DARK.
